A Hidden Gem in St Annes! I've stayed at the Howarth Hotel a few times now, and it never disappoints. The breakfast is absolutely amazing – beautifully cooked and made with top-quality ingredients that you can really taste. It’s such a lovely way to start the day. The owner is incredibly warm and welcoming. On our most recent visit, she noticed we had our little dog with us and kindly upgraded our room to one with a balcony – such a thoughtful touch that made our stay even more special. The location is perfect, just a short walk to the sea and everything St Annes has to offer. Having parking available is a real bonus too. This place has that little bit extra you don’t often find – a mix of comfort, care, and quality. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend it to anyone looking for a lovely stay by the coast.

When we booked the hotel it was based on my taste of traditional decor beautiful bedrooms which were featured on their description of this property and it stated I had booked for a double luxury bedroom which was ideal as we were celebrating our 39th wedding anniversary. However when we arrived we were led outside the property to a annex around the corner. It was a lovely clean and comfortable but not what I booked and had I been informed this could happen I probably wouldn't have booked as it was avery special occasion. My husband addressed this with the host and was told every other room was booked up. They did leave us a bottle of prosseco which was lovely of them but couldn't compensate for our disappointment 😔

Good choices for breakfast. We don't always like a cooked breakfast so were pleased with the option of a breakfast muffin. The coffee was also lovely. We were so pleased with our room (No.15). The decor & bedding was lovely. The room was spotlessly clean. There was tea, coffee & water. The fan left ready for us in the room was very welcome as it was an extremely hot weekend.

The bathroom was a bit of a squeeze which didn't bother us really as we are average size people I think it would be an issue however for larger people.

We had a wonderful stay at this charming B&B! The breakfast was absolutely excellent, featuring a variety of delicious options that started my day off right. The room was exceptionally clean and tastefully decorated, making it a very comfortable refuge. The entire establishment is filled with beautiful art and interesting items, adding to its charm. The warm welcome from the hosts made me feel right at home, like staying with family. I highly recommend this place for anyone looking for a cozy and inviting atmosphere!

The location was perfect for my stay and I had a very peaceful and comfortable night despite my room overlooking the main road. The lady who booked me in was welcoming and knowledgeable about the area and the breakfast was far more than expected for the price of my stay. It was freshly cooked to my requirements - no lukewarm self service - and delicious.

My room was a single room and the bathroom was small but adequate although it may prove challenging for someone of a larger stature.

Great staff and the lady on reception swapped my upstairs room for a downstairs 'comfort' room as my partner is awaiting a hip operation and struggles with stairs. A very nice room out of the way and it was clean, warm and comfy. We were only there one night, but could have happily stayed for more. The breakfast was great, plenty of choice and even offered warm croissants! We will stay again when up in the area next time. Great also to have the ability to check in at 14.00 and check out as late as midday, this was very handy when travelling a long way (we were up from Torbay in S Devon).

My only small complaint is about the noise from the room above! It sounded like a small family of elephants had taken up residence!! However, it had quietened down by the time we returned from the restaurant and we both slept well.

The staff were amazing with us and our hound - it really was like a home away from home. We only used the room as a base so whilst it was small, it was perfectly suited for our uses. We all slept well on the beds, the bathroom was lovely and clean allowing us to shower and be fresh for the day ahead. The additional access to the spa and pool facilities at the Hy Hotel was a great addition but in reality, the pool was freezing, Jacuzzi and sauna were out of action. It's still a bonus as it is out of their control. We found the location of the hotel perfect for our uses - access to shopping, food and beaches just on the doorstep but far enough away from the 'main drag' so it was relatively quite.

We went when it was hot... and our room didn't benefit from the coastal winds to cool it down. The room did have a fan which helped a little but in honesty it did make the evenings a little uncomfortable. Was this the fault of the hotel? Absolutely not and it certainly doesn't change the fact that we would certainly stay again in the future. But I wanted to be honest with our review.

The breakfast was beautifully presented, delicious and there was plenty of food! The bed was very comfortable and the room had everything I might need (fan, heater, extra blanket, hairdryer etc) so everything was thought of! The host and the rest of the staff were extremely friendly, her hospitality was the reason I extended my stay for another night, as it really made my stay very special. It is a very homely atmosphere, I love the decoration and the dogs are a welcome addition too! I will definitely be returning!

Reception staff friendly, rooms lovely and clean. Family room also was immaculate. My son and his wife stayed in the family room with my 2 grandchildren, they would return as they felt the room was spacious, and clean for the kids Dog friendly. Absolutely fantastic. Considering dogs allowed, no evidence of any dogs of any, in the rooms. Spotless

We arrived at Howarth house early and asked if we could leave our car on car park until check in and was welcomed by a lovely lady who said our room was ready and we could check in now, the room was exceptionally clean, the bed was really comfortable, the shower was lovely and hot and the breakfast was amazing, the staff constantly checking if you wanted anything else, nothing was too much at all, we was so close to everything, bars, shopping, restaurants, cafes we would highly recommend staying at Howarth House.
