The view is excellent on both sides of the hotel. The room was very clean and everything worked well in the bathroom. The heating was fine too, and I was able to regulate it to my preference. The bed was very comfortable! The location of the hotel is very good for both moving by train or bus. You are a 2 minute walk away from the train station. The breakfast had a lot of options, and the breakfast room was very cozy, with garden view.

Nothing truly bad to point out. However, for me, it would have been useful to have a mini-fridge at the room, unfortunately they didn't have one. Maybe on more expensive rooms? Nevertheless, this was just a minor inconvenience, but people that need it should take it into account.

Excellent location, 5 min on foot to the railway station with trains each 30 min to Interlaken/Lauterbrunnen/Grindelwald. Very good for hiking in the area. Several restaurants in 5 min walking distance, local Volg is open even on Sundays. Spacious and clean room. Plenty of bed-side sockets, including one of European standard. Cozy and well-heated. Welcoming reception staff, with excellent English. Good breakfast. Convenient parking lot near the hotel (had enough slots while we were there). A special advantage is a very good jacuzzi. It is located near a separate "hut" in the garden, and you need to book it at the reception for free (slots each hour, for your personal use). Strongly recommended and it added to our score for the hotel. Overall good value for money (in the Interlaken area!).

Hotel admits (even on its site) that the sound proofing of the room is non-existent. So be prepared that you can sleep only according to Swiss schedule, i.e. between 22.00 and 6.00. If it fits you (like us), you have no problem, otherwise be careful. Light in the room could be better, and two bulbs were simply not working - this is not related to the age of the hotel and should have been fixed. The gap between the entrance door of the room and the floor exposed the room to the unnecessary noises (and some light) from the corridor.

Great location and the garden at the back was beautiful. The beds were comfortable, the bathroom was functional, and the staff was very courteous and helpful. The fan in the room was a big plus because it got hot at times. It was a great base for our adventures in Interlaken and surrounding areas. Would definitely recommend!

This was in the description of the hotel so not really a negative but the hotel is in a very old building and therefore doesn't have an elevator. Carrying multiple big suitcases up and down 3 floors was a workout and a half. :) The pros outweighed this one small con.

- the staff was super nice and friendly. Zsofia (if I am remembering correctly :) ) was amazing, super accommodating and gave us plenty of recommendations and guidance to make the most out of our visit - the gardens and the view were stunning!! Our room directly led out to the garden and it was out of this world beautiful! The pictures don’t even do it justice! - The room was very big and comfortable, and quite clean - Nice breakfast for a 2 star hotel

- No AC, was a bit warm during the night

Our stay in Alpenrose Hotel was fantastic and memorable. The property's location was very strategic as it is just nearby the train station and bus terminal where you can reach Interlaken and other cities nearby in just a few minutes. If you have a car, it is also 20-30 minutes away to Lauterbrunnen, Grindelwald and Sigriswil. The facilities and rooms had vintage and homey vibes but were still well kept. The outdoor garden was beautiful and we had a room facing mountain view. The staff were very attentive to our queries and needs. We also enjoyed the breakfast buffet. We highly recommend and would definitely want to come back to this place.

It was not a problem for us, but others may have difficulties with the hotel not having an elevator (if you have big luggages to carry) or you can request to be placed in the lower floor

Really nice hotel and a decent price Would definitely recommend it Zsôfia was really helpful in planning our day in interlaken and has alot of knowledge about the area If anyone is planning on staying here i would consider speaking to Zsôfia to see where you want to go/visit and make best use of your time Overall was a great experience and would be coming back again when visiting Switzerland

Just a perfect place to stay. The girl on the front desk, was from Hungary and she was brilliant what's a bubbly character she was, and really friendly too. One thing I didn't expect to find in my room was a kettle, well us Brits do love our tea. I went down to get some more tea and milk, all with no drama. The breakfast was the best of all the hotels that I stayed in for this trip, the variety on offer was very very good indeed. I love touring by motorcycle in Switzerland, and it rains a bit as well, imagine my surprise, when I came out one morning to find my sheepskin cover I had ony bike seat, had a giant bin liner over it to keep it dry. That made me laugh, and I thought, what a nice thing to do. Yes I'd stay here again if I'm in the area.

Amazing view from the room, great breakfast and great garden where even raspberry grows (red and yellow - two kinds even). The staff was kind and helped with every question + we left luggage for the whole day without problem. You can even order a jacuzzi for free outside, but we didn't use it. Not cheap at all, but it was really great! Also, great location - less than 2 minutes walk from train station. We had 6 minutes between trains and managed to get back to hotel, pick up our luggage and get back to the station even :) Free transport in the Interlaken area as well.

I think everything was fine. No refrigerator, no coffee machine and no airconditioner, but we knew all that when we booked.

The location was excellent. Magnificent views of the mountains all around. Very friendly staffs and only 3 mins walking distance to the Wilderswil train station. Great Mountain View from the balcony and a very well maintained beautiful garden

very lovely garden. unfortunately the weather was very hot. old building without much comfort. great location. quiet but still nearly next to the train station. had no issues getting a parking spot at the hotel each day. garden view room gives great view to the mountains as well. comfy beds. old shower. no aircon. nice breakfast. friendly staff.

shower head was faulty. shower doors hard to close. no mosquito screens in front of windows.
