Great location. Impressive building and staircase. Comfy bed and clean room.

Locked out of the property on my final night stay. Key card didn’t work (had happened three times before but thankfully someone at reception always let me in) but this time nobody was on reception. 11.30pm stood on car park hoping to get someone’s attention. My phone was dead so I was stuck. Had to walk back into town to charge my phone in late night bar . Receptionist answered and apologised and met me at door just after midnight. One hour after I had originally tried to go pack and get some rest for an early flight. So annoying .

I recently stayed at this hotel, and it was an absolutely delightful experience! The rooms were not only stylish and cozy but also radiated a unique and inviting atmosphere. The attention to detail in the decor was impeccable, creating a sense of warmth and charm. What truly made my stay magical was how beautifully the hotel was decorated for the holiday season. The Christmas decorations were stunning, creating a festive and enchanting ambiance throughout the property. It felt like stepping into a winter wonderland. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a memorable and cozy getaway with exceptional service, delicious food, and a perfect holiday atmosphere. Can’t wait to return!

Staff were lovely - interested in making conversation and sharing recommendations. Room was clean, it really was 'cosy' and compact, but it was comfortable. The pillows were fab. Decor was fresh, classic but not dated. Location was great - it is on a steep hill -but only 15 minutes to the very center of Cork. Parking was free- first come first served - but excellent if you get there and can bag a space. Would suggest planning an alternative if you get there and there are no spaces as on street parking is chargeable during the day - even at weekends.

It was ok for me but there was no lift. I had to carry suitcases up multiple flights of stairs. While not a problem for many, I dont think this was clear on the website/ description. Not sure if accessible rooms are available.

Breakfast, best ever toast i have had!!! 15 min walk to city center, downhill, you can come back to guesthouse by city bus, no need to get a taxi, Garden with a heated garden house overlooking River Lee and City center with sauna and aviary/ cages for a beautyfull birds such as a canary, zebra finches, pidgeons, chickens, ducksand eve hives with bees. Pet friendly estate, beats most of the 4 stars hotels. Amazing staff, can answer all of your questions and point you what to do in Cork and where you have to go to get most of Cork is famous for. Hightly reccomendet guesthouse. Will call there again. FOR SURE!!!!😍

This was an absolutely beautiful hotel. The breakfast was expansive and delicious. I had the eggs benedict one day and the eggs Florentine the next and my father had the full Irish breakfast both times. The back has a giant garden and grass area with areas where you can see their animals. They also had a wonderful sauna that I spent quite some time in, which has a instant cold plunge shower right outside. There was also a very cozy, quiet gazebo cabin room thing out in the garden that I was able to comfortably do work in and then just quietly enjoyed my time and read a book. It was within walking distance to many many pubs and restaurants.

Location is good and is close to bus, train, downtown, English market. Nice patio for chilling at night. Receptionist Caragh was friendly and allowed me to take the parking spot of the EV. Breakfast is good but it costs similar as eating at a restaurant when it is added after booking the rooms.

The parking spot is not guaranteed. It is first come first get. A late comer has to park in the street. I actually witnessed a car crashed into the one parking in the street. Also, the driveway leading to the hotel parking lot has a steep downwards turn. If the road is icy it will be very difficult to get in or out of the parking lot. There is a public parking lot with 10 min walk down the hill with a fee. If hotel parking lot is full, it is better to use that public lot and take the walk . Another thing is the room is really small for 4 people.. The door is only one foot from the edge of the bed when it opens.

I’ve stayed at several different places in different countries over the past two years. This place exceeded my expectations and delivered a service level that I, to be fair, didn’t expect when I booked this hotel. Rooms are made every day, which is quite unique nowadays (post covid). The breakfast on offer is first of all a-la-carte and second of all of really good quality. Moreover, the room I stayed in was spacious and offered a comfy and large bed. And not the least, the staff is exceptional! No request is too much for them, they’re very service oriented and super friendly. I’ll definitely visit this place again.

There was nothing I didn't like about the hotel.

Our room overlooking the city was excellent, the bed was so comfortable I had to be woken up every morning , the breakfast choices were exceptional for a guest house and cooked to perfection. The staff extremely helpful when we required extra ice or glasses and information about where to visit. The chairs and tables outside were a bonus because the weather was good, Our three night stay was excellent

the car park on a slope took some getting used to and double parking was a slight problem but there was not much they could do about that given the location

Loved everything about this property. Great location, free parking, ample size family room, daily housekeeping, daily breakfast, sauna, garden room. Very friendly staff provided recommendations for dinner and the area in general. Great walking city, Gabriel House is in a wonderful location. Would stay here again and recommend to others. Note, it is on a hill and our room was on the top floor so lots of stairs. Easy for our family but could be a challenge for anyone with mobility issues. Pretty view of Cork from the hill on a nice night. Breakfast was outstanding. Loved the cappuccino/hot cocoa/coffee provided during breakfast.
