The location is perfect and close to Gare Cornavin, which makes it very convenient for me to travel anywhere. It is also surrounded by many shops. I only wish the hotel had a shared microwave for warming up food—or perhaps it is already available, but I was not aware of it. I think this is a strong point for Hotel Astoria.

The room felt a little small, but it was just right for one person with not much luggage. However, the air conditioning was not very cool—or perhaps it was because I visited Geneva when the temperature was around 33–35°C, so the cooling system did not feel as effective.

Everything went without a hitch. A/C on when I arrived in the room. Comfortable with all facilities in room - safe, telephone, WIFI, hotel info, soap, hair dryer, shower cap etc. Shower very easy to work (always important). Got a single room, that was a small double. Bathroom very clean (two basins!). Door to room had a lock and a chain also. Plug sockets accommodated all European plugs, including UK - never seen that before.

If I were to mention an improvement it would be that the door from the lobby to the rooms was accessible to anyone and did not require opening with your key card. However, room security was very good, with both lock and chain.

Just A bit small in size, but confy bed Close to all amenities, restaurants, shops, coffee shops, pharmacies, clothing shops, and MANOR, a must to visit, especially the supermarket. I call it: the museum in culinary experience. And of course, the restaurant at the top floor, which provides an array of food for any palate at a reasonable price. Cheaper than all restaurants in Geneva

The room is just a bit too small But the norm, I suppose, and really, not a great issue Otherwise, nothing else.

The facility was very clean and the staff were helpful; they all seem middle-aged though but the staff in the restaurant/bar are young and smart. The middle-aged men can do well to smile and be more respectful when dealing with guests.

The hotel is not race sensitive, considering it's in Switzerland where people visit a lot. Almost all their communication was in French even the booking confirmation came in French. It made it difficult to relate with them. They could have done both English and French which is way better. I had to ask if they don't receive int'l guests as they seem far from reality.

My stay at the hotel was absolutely wonderful. The staff were very helpful and welcoming. The room was clean and comfortable, and the location was perfect—close to everything I needed. Literally across the road from the main train station, I left Geneva Airport and got into Geneva within 10 mins, and it was really handy to be that close. It was in walking distance to Lake Geneva, shops, restaurants, and the bus station. The room was compact and clean with TV and tea/coffee making facilities. It also had a fridge, which was handy. The reception area was lovely with a lift up to your required floor.

The room was a little dated but was comfortable enough for what I needed. Walls on the thin side, I could hear the neighbours chatting, showering, and toileting. Luckily, it wasn't into the night. Bathroom facilities were good, although the shower didn't spray properly and requires a good descaling. Apart from these, I would return.

The hotel has a great location, easy to access and well connected to all the main attractions. The staff were all very professional and helpful throughout my stay. A special thank you to Roeland at the reception, who went above and beyond to help me quickly find a solution to my phone issue.

Despite the air conditioning, the room was quite warm, but indeed, it was usually hot for the period. I found it strange for a hotel that the shower had curtains, not the most hygienic in my opinion, and lack of proper ventilation in the bathroom.

I visited Geneva for one night and stayed at the Astoria. The hotel location was perfect, located across from the main train station. My room overlooked the square and remained exceptionally quiet. I met a helpful and friendly gentleman at the desk. Furthermore, my room was clean and featured a spacious bath. The hot water temperature was ideal for a relaxing bath. I enjoyed fast wifi and experienced no streaming issues. I appreciated the easy check-in process and overall efficient service. In summary, I highly recommend the Astoria for a refined Geneva stay. I left feeling thoroughly satisfied and impressed.

The room could do with a bit of modernisation.

Unexpectedly good place, everything is next to the door or around the corner. Room was clean and comfi, large enough for one or two people. Good shower!!! Staff are friendly and helpful. Good coffee for breakfast. Important!!! My room had and extension cord above the table with ALL TYPES of power outlets! I never saw that. Generally, no one needs to worry about adapters for cellphone or computer.

Breakfast (excluding coffee) in the hotel was so-so, just scrambled eggs (with water?!), bacon and white sausages (tasteless) for hot and two types of bakery. It should be more options.

Excellent location. There is a train station right in front where you can take the train to the airport and takes less than 10 minutes. It also has different shops, pharmacy, etc. We walked almost everywhere, except when we were tired that we took the tram or bus. The room was clean and quiet. It was cleaned every day. The receptionists were very kind and allowed us to leave our luggage after checking out for free.

One towel had a red lipstick stain. It was probably not washed well.
