This hotel is truly exceptional. The property is immaculate, with every detail carefully considered, from the perfectly kept plants to the thoughtfully selected room amenities. It strikes a rare balance between feeling quaint and grand. The pool area is stunning, complete with chaise lounges and inviting cabanas. The breakfast alone was worth the cost of the hotel, it set the tone for the entire stay. A generous spread of cured meats, a variety of cheeses, fresh pastries, and vibrant fruits made each morning feel indulgent and unhurried. But what truly sets this place apart is the staff; their warmth, attentiveness, and genuine understanding of hospitality are unmatched. In over a decade of travel, I haven’t experienced service quite like this. A true standout in Albufeira and worldwide. Accommodation wise, everything was first class. The staff made our stay,There was nothing that they would not do to make our stay a wonderful experience. They were always there but not intrusive.We asked for restaurant recommendations for a special birthday and they took the time to print out a list of local restaurants (we chose Staar and was not disappointed).The room was elegantly decorated, clean with it's own terrace overlooking the old town.

When on the terrace on a night the noise from the square below could be heard but once inside the room ,with doors closed there was no noise. Although it did not effect us anyone with difficulties walking be aware that this accommodation is in the old town above where the majority of bars,shops and restaurants are located and there are steps and slopes to navigate.

This adult only boutique hotel is stunning. An oasis of calm. Stepping through the high beautiful solid wood gates into a private realm of beautiful facilities and privacy. This is a renovated old Arabian style building, modern, stylish with magnificent art works and woodwork. Which reflects the owners craftsmanship. The staff are exceptional. The service is perfect. Very low key but our every need was catered for. There is no restaurant per say. Breakfast is served on the terrace every morning. We went out locally for dinner every night. There is a Spa with a range of services, of which I availed of. Two very therapeutic full body massages. I can't praise this hotel enough. With the power outage yesterday the staff stepped up. Nothing was too much bother. I can't recommend this beautiful hotel enough. Our room: we had a balcony. Which we would definitely recommend. Rain shower, heated bathroom floor, everything was catered for. There are 25 rooms. This is a private hotel. Not open to the outside world. Only residents can walk around. Perfect. Great location. Near the Old Town. Quiet at night. Oh I'd recommend taking a Wine Tour. Very interesting. Great fish restaurant across the road. Visit.

Loved everything about this hotel. Beautiful boutique place with wonderful staff. We were made to feel very welcome. After a day out and about in town, it was like coming home at the end of the day. Breakfast was amazing with a large wooden board full of cheese, meats, jams, bread rolls, and pastries delivered to your table, plus a choice of eggs cooked however you want. There was also more cheese and meat available at a self-serve area, along with several choices of cereal and other goodies. The only downside of this being the weight you are very likely to put on! Our room was super with a comfortable bed and large terrace - plenty of room for the 2 sunbeds if you wanted to be really lazy. We loved our stay and would recommend it to anyone who wants to be in an oasis of calm, minutes away from the beach and the many restaurants found in the old town.

Vila Origens is one of the most beautiful hotels I have stayed in; it is a slice of heaven, a stone's throw away from the hustle and bustle of Albufeira's old town. It is so relaxing at the hotel, it is very quiet, and the lovely team cannot do enough to make your stay enjoyable. We felt very spoilt here, and we could have the best of both worlds with it being so close to the old town. It is a truly unique hotel in every way. The building and grounds are beautiful, the staff are incredibly friendly and accommodating, and the breakfast is fantastic. We loved it so much, we are planning to return next year.

This hotel is like no other. The staff are attentive to the right level and I seriously felt they wanted us to relax from the moment we arrived. Breakfast each day is served on the terrace - delicious. Our room was on the ground floor a stone throw from the pool but super quiet once you are inside. The pool area was never noisy and guests respected the tranquility of the place. We had drinks by the pool and on the terrace on a few ocassions - reasonable priced and a good selection. On arrival the staff took us around the property to show us all the amenities - a nice touch and personal. The place is local to Old Town so lots of bars and restaurants to chose from. You can’t hear the hustle and bustle from the hotel. And only a short walk to the beach. If I return to Albufeira it will be to visit to this hotel. The perfect place to unwind.

Everything. The most welcoming and kind group of people we have ever had the pleasure to meet. The personal touches were so evident that it made the entire stay wonderful. Breakfast was exceptional. The various meats and cheeses from around the Algarve and Azores to complement the different breads as part of the daily continental breakfast were delicious. The staff, after only 4 days, felt like family to us. Always smiling and kind with helpful insights about the locale and further afield. Neither of us drink alcohol and after only mentioning this to Vera once at the beginning, the entire group of staff knew, without us saying anything further, and tailored our stay to that fact. It was such a nice feeling to know they cared enough to remember this. The villa itself was gorgeous. Self-contained and very secure with the most beautiful grounds and setting. Peaceful and calming are the best words i can find. The room was beautiful with elements of the old castle that adjoins it within the room. Huge comfy bed with linen as soft as you like and daily room service, if you need it, which is top notch. On arrival, locally made, unbelievably delicious, complimentary cakes in our room. They are made by a small family bakery that clearly know how to bake heaven into things and only have a small quantity delivered according to the bookings they have for that coming week, so enjoy them. You can get the address from the lovely staff at the villa and pop down for tea and more cake. Trust me when i say you will smile for days remembering those little wonders on a plate. I could go on for paragraphs about how amazing this place and the people are, but it would benefit by just saying, book this little gem, and find out for yourselves. You won't regret it one bit. We booked a week in September on our third day here and have made it our go-to when in Portugal.

Just home for my holidays in this fabulous hotel, the staff are amazing, super friendly. The breakfast was the best breakfast I have ever eaten in any hotel. The location is a stone throw to the shops, restaurants and beach front. I can't wait to return, one of the most relaxing hotels 💕 don't hesitate to book this hotel you won't be disappointed. It's a hidden little gen with 5 star qualities💓

Vera, Paulo and the team are the BEST hosts. An exceptionally professional set up, with an understated air of relaxation. We paid more than we normally would for accommodation on this sort of holiday but no other hotels I saw compared to this. You got lots with it though. An amazing breakfast with champagne every morning, refillable water bottles for the room, beach towels so you didn’t have to take your own, free sunbeds and cabanas, an arrival drink and local sweets There’s a Jacuzzi on the first floor up the wrought iron steps and more sunbeds that we don’t realise until part the way through the week. Also it looks like there’s two pools from some pictures but one of them is private. What’s not obvious to me from the photos is the pool bar/kitchen. So that was great and everything gets charged to your room and you pay at the end of the week. The room itself we booked a happy night which gave us 2 seats and a little table outside for a “balcony” vibe but to be honest we hardly used it but was nice to have. Room 61-63 are in their own little courtyard setting which was lovely. There are some works going on next to the hotel with some renovations but thankfully they weren’t too loud. I am really sensitive to noise so if it was a big issue, I’d say!

The boutique hotel is like fine dining, you either like it or you don't. My wife "maybe" could come and stay there again but not I. Though the breakfast did have a quaintness about it, as you were served at your table with a pre-assigned quantity of bread, cheese and cold meat, not forgetting the glass of bubbly, the selection was limited, even to the point that sometimes only one of us could have the item (though we were told we could have asked for more). Breakfast cereals, orange juice and a few other delights were also available. A longer stay would have made the breakfast selection boring. The pool was not overly warm and too cold for me but my wife was more daring. The jacuzzi was nicely placed on a rooftop with views of the sea. Personally, I think this place would have appealed more to me/us if the temperature was warmer (only 16oC) because it is excellent for sun bathing. The staff were super friendly, the location perfect for the beach and nearby restaurants and old town. Our room was a little tight with two suitcases but we had a comfortable and peaceful sleep. Overall, I think a 9 is still a good rating and if you like boutique, then I'm sure this will tick most of the boxes for you.
