Great location, lovely big apartment- well priced compared to a lot of accommodation in St Ives. Excellent views across the bay. Clean, tidy and well equipped.

Do not stay here if you struggle with steep stairs or mobility issues. The steps to get into the property are very narrow and steep. Once inside you have some very narrow steep staircases between the bedrooms and the toilet. You need to go down to go back up. This is not bother us but would be very difficult for elderly people. WiFi did not work on the tv so couldn’t use internet services (such as Netflix).

The location of the hotel was excellent. Room was well appointed, comfortable and very nicely decorated. Breakfast was included and we were also served late breakfast and were allowed late check out… the only lowlight was housekeeping: we requested bed linen change and it was not done! We requested a couple of soap bars and we were left with the single used one! Not good for such an expensive hotel that is almost perfect otherwise…

The staff were lovely very welcoming and clearly liked their job. The place was always busy, we didn't eat so can't comment but the food looked insane. The room was stunning, the shower was a little dirty in the corners of the cubicle and the glasses on the wooden tray didn't have a nice smell to them it maybe the smell coming out of the old tray. All in all the stay was lovely and we'd come back.

Fabulous location on the waterfront and beautiful views across the ever changing beach. Above a good pub but not noisy at all.

This apartment is definitely not for anyone who has any mobility issues. The stairs are extremely narrow and steep and lead to the apartment itself as well as the bedrooms and another flight to the bathroom. The bathroom has very low ceilings and no shower screen or curtain so everything gets wet but they would not supply dry towels. There is no parking near the hotel except for a drop off area which may not be free, so you have to park a fair distance away.

Nice English breakfast but we weren’t advised that the cereals, pastries and juices that were in the corner were also available to us, so whilst awaiting our cooked breakfast I asked a staff member. Better communication on arrival/when being seated/taking drinks order would have been helpful. Great view of the harbour beach from the lounge.

Awkward to get up and down the steep, narrow staircase with a suitcase.

Location is excellent, apartment was well equipped and comfortable. Decor was lovely. Good value for money. We had a great stay and will stay again! Thank you.

Not being able to check in early when the room was already ready (only an hour or two earlier). The assistant manager said that she had to stick to the rules. We have always been able to check in early in other establishments in the town (we’ve been visiting St Ives for over 40 years) so this was a little disappointing when the room was clearly available.

Wonderful location. Comfortable, excellent food. Very friendly staff - I think it was Katie who checked us in, very helpful. Also a huge shout to Crystal who served us breakfast each day. Always helpful and service with a smile. Thanks all, see you again - either at Lifeboat Inn or Pedn Olva 😎

Our room faced a wall so had no view, but it didn’t cause a problem.

Amazing position - right on the harbour. We had the inland view apartment which was accessed via a flight of stairs. On the first level, there was an initial room with a large sofa bed. Beyond this there was a bathroom and the main bedroom which was lovely with a large TV on the wall. Up a steep staircase was the living area with kitchen, dining table, another sofabed and big TV on the wall again. We could see the harbour and sea through a side window which had a nice window seat. The shower was excellent. Overall the apartment was good and well equipped.

Although there was a washing machine, there wasn't an airer provided. The kitchen was lacking a chopping board to prepare/chop food. The upstairs was hot. The windows only opened a fraction but there were fans provided.

The apartment is great with beautiful views across the harbour very spacious lounge and dining area bedrooms are very nice and comfortable

Kitchen facilities were very limited,only 1 saucepan, no frying pan or grill pan,no scissors. not a major problem until you want to cook something. Some of the furniture was quite dusty and a bit messy

Location, location, location! Large room on the harbour front, so was expensive but worth it for for a few nights. Staff friendly and helpful. Great breakfast with good choice of food. Decor / furniture in room was good.

Maintenance of room not proactive: Handbasin blocked when we checked in and took a couple of days to get plumber in to fix this. Cleanliness okay, but in these times of Covid it would be more reassuring to have spotless door handles etc. Windows in the room and in the pub/hotel not kept clean of bird droppings, which spoil the view, albeit we realise this is an ongoing chore!
