The Butcher's Wife B&B was in the PERFECT location in Bruges. Close to all the significant attractions, especially the Market Square with the Belfry. Our room was spacious, modern, well equipped and extremely quiet. The B&B building itself is adorable; it is a classic Flemish design building tucked off the street on a small, cute square. Very peaceful, but very easy to get to the main areas of Old Town Bruges. The proprietor, Jannie, was very proactive with her communication prior to our arrival and she checked in on us every day to make sure we were comfortable and had everything we needed. The daily housekeeping service was very prompt and nice! We very much enjoyed our stay and look forward to a return trip in the future!

Jannie, the owner, was very nice and friendly. She made us feel very welcome. We had the Deluxe room on the last floor(without elevator) The room is under the roof and is nicely decorated An aircon and electrical window shutters are installed The B&B is located in the historical center of Brugge You reach the Belfort within 5 minutes The Parking T'Zand is a 10 minutes walk away, but the best to be reached by the highway
Unfortunately it was very noisy outside that night... Having a light sleep, also the seagulls and some people who entered inside the house in the middle of the night, were extremely good to hear... The walk-in shower was a bit slippery... To open the windows you should be a taller person..

From the moment we stepped into The Butchers Wife, we were SO satisfied with our choice of accommodation! The interior is warm, welcoming and very elegant. Our suite was light and very spacious, immaculately clean, it lacked nothing! It looked out onto Muntplein, a beautiful little square where customers from Gelateria Da Vinci (just around the corner) came to enjoy their ice creams under the shady trees and cherishing the silence away from the hustle and bustle of the busy city. This is a SUPER-location, right in the middle of Bruges - we really felt privileged to may have discovered and stayed at this gem!
There was really nothing negative about our accommodation at The Butchers Wife!!

A beautifully decorated room, super comfy bed with views over a quiet square. The bathroom was stylish and had huge windows letting lots of light in. It was spotlessly clean throughout. The lovely smelling diffusers and hand soaps, shampoo etc felt luxurious. The kettle and coffee machine in the room was a treat after walking all day. The location is right in the middle of Bruges so we could walk around and pop back if needed. We were allowed to leave our bags in the communal space whilst before/after checking out which allowed us to spend the whole day seeing the sites and not having to carry bags around. The breakfast was really good, some local meats, yogurt and pastries were all beautifully presented, fresh and high quality - it felt like a real treat!! I would highly recommend staying here, the owner who served the food was very friendly and welcoming. I would love so come back during the Christmas markets and stay here again!
We had a fireplace in our room but I think the remote to turn it on was taken away (or maybe we just couldnt find it) that would have been nice to turn on in the evening when it was colder. The windows aren't super soundproof - we didnt have an issue as the square it looks onto is pretty quiet with some people walking in to stop and eat some lunch etc but if in busier season people were being loud you could hear them. However I would still strongly recommend this b&b!!

What an incredible B&B. Jannie was incredibly welcoming from the moment we arrived, we were able to leave our luggage to go and explore Bruges and she made sure we had all the recommendations we could need! The B&B is absolutely beautiful and the room will blow you away, the fire place is such a warming touch and the bed was the most comfortable we have ever stayed in. Bruges is expensive for accommodation but I felt this was incredible value for money. We didn't want to leave. We will absolutely be back!!

Excellent location, close to all the sights of Bruges but tucked away for a peaceful retreat. Breakfast was outstanding, local produce all beautifully presented and the owner was super friendly during the breakfast service.
Very picky but the towels were a little disappointing, being on the small and thin side 😀

The location was perfect and the room was very comfortable. Communication from the hosts was friendly and helpful
The shower was stuck on a really hot temperature so it was difficult to have a comfortable shower, there is quite a bit of noise between rooms and our upstairs neighbours were walking and talking very early on Sunday morning. The fireplace in our room also did not work/difficult to turn on.

Beautiful property in a great location just off the main shopping street. Delightful rooms, nicely furnished and very high quality breakfast.
Timing of breakfast - it generally turned up around 9:15-9:30am and while it was definitely worth waiting for, if you have any tour or transport booked it makes it rushed. Feel a flexible option could be offered for those who can't wait.

Almost everything was amazing! The location was great, the room (the deluxe) was beautiful, the staff were friendly and helpful, the bed was comfortable and the window blinds meant this was the first place we've stayed where I didn't need to wear my blackout sleep mask. If we ever return to Brugge, we'll be returning to the Butcher's Wife!
One minor thing: if you're above average height, be careful when climbing the stairs. As with many buildings in the city, there are some very low beams!

Second time staying at this lovely B&B in a quiet part of the town. Comfortable room and great location
Didn't see anyone until the following morning, and wanted to check out and had to search for a lady cooking breakfast, and instead of 'hello how was your stay' ... we got a ' you need to pay your city tax' ... could have done with a little customer experience training, but not a blemish on the overall stay.
