The Motel apartment was very spacious and comfortable, it had all we needed and was super clean and really great. The late check-in (after 6pm) was communicated well and instructions were very clear. Overall, a great stay.

We ate dinner at the restaurant which is part of the Motel and that was not a good experience. We waited for our meals for over an hour (!), there was no apology of any kind and when I mentioned it at the end (the waitress asked me how it was) - instead of apologizing or providing any reason in a nice manner, the waitress said 'you saw how busy it was!' - and that was it. And it was just a medium sized room with tables, no people queuing outside to get in, nothing extraordinary, we'd seen restaurants way busier before and much more polite. And the prices were way too high for the quality of this place and service. Overall really not a good experience and we don't recommend this place to eat, it was a waste of time and money.

We travelled as a group of four friends and stayed in the cottage at the back of the property. Was a perfect location for us, private with a lovely garden outlook. The cabin was spacious, comfortable and had all that we needed. We also thoroughly enjoyed having the onsite restaurant (Ewe'N Me) which we would highly recommend. This is my fourth visit to this motel... it has a friendly vibe, staff are always welcoming and the motel rooms have been lovingly updated and are well maintained. The motel is located next door to a Woolworths supermarket and is across the road from the information center and parkland. it is also only a five minute walk to the shopping center, pubs, clubs and restaurants. Looking forward to our next visit.

It was very clean. The motel is walking distance to the centre. The motel has a pool which the kids enjoyed. It was quiet only if the pillows were usable we could have get some rest.

The pillows were very terrible. Very hard and uncomfortable in any position- very difficult for anyone to get some sleep. The plates were way too small for to have toasts. The lady at the front office did not explained why she needed credit card number so it took 3 goes for me to get what she needed as finally she did explain that she needed it as security for the minibar. At that point she was visibly annoyed and I told was upset too. She needs to improve on communication.

Clean, comfortable, convenient, and quiet. Thunderbird Motel is family owned and operated and provides good old-fashioned hospitality. The rooms are generous in size and well appointed, with comfortable beds. Room service is available for breakfast, and an in- house restaurant provides good country cooking for evening meals. We like to pay an additional $15 for the option of a room with a spa bath to relax after a day on the road. Thunderbird Motel is always an excellent and restful experience.

We stayed in the 2 bedroom cottage at the back of the property. Spacious, well-appointed and quiet. Very nice pool area. Restaurant was excellent, had a lovely meal there.

parking can be a problem especially when there are big 4WD vehicles on the premises like there was 2 nights during our stay. It would be better if they were encouraged to park in an area at the back of the hotel as it can be difficult to get passed them when they are parked outside their rooms.

The room was quite large and spacious and, although we didn't use it on this occasion, it was a thoughtful plus to have a microwave in the room. We also appreciated being provided with fresh milk on arrival, and having a fridge with a proper freezer compartment where we could re-freeze our ice bricks prior to further travel. We liked that the staff complied with our request to dry and reuse our towels (although this is offered in many motels, we often find that staff take the towels for laundering even if they are put back on the rails).

It would be good if the restaurant was open every day.

The motel was spotless and comfortable, and the key retrieval process was a breeze—at least for me. The receptionist, however, treated getting up and reexplaining the texted instructions as though it were a truly monumental task. Her bizarrely huffy demeanor added an unexpected touch of drama to the experience. Still, the stay was lovely overall, with just a pinch of key-related theatrics to keep things interesting.

That the rooms was exceptionally clean and looked better than the advertised pictures, which is rare. The size of the cottage suited our family of 6 perfectly and the reception clerk was friendly and very welcoming. The ease of check in/ out made our stay just that little bit more seamless which helps when you're travelling with 4 young children.

Having the option to remove the mini bar. 4 kids and the temptation was too much for them to bare. Paid $5 for sneaky Kit Kat lol

Exceptional customer service. Everything we asked for we were given and a big smile. comfortable room, good shower and bathroom, great pillow (not old or the feeling had been uses for years!!). Breaky and restaurant were on site with great food options. Have already booked, on way back from holiday in QLD.

Door to room there was a bit gap so we had a breeze on a -3 degree night; AC was effective so not a big issue. Coffee in restaurant was not available during evening service.

I stayed 2 nights (not consecutively). Reception was attentive and helpful. Both of the rooms were very clean and equipped with all facilities expected of a good motel. The beds were comfortable and there was virtually no sound coming through from neighbouring rooms. Air-con was quiet and effective on the second night when the weather was hotter.

Minor quibble - on the 2nd stay, housekeeping forgot to leave milk for tea/coffee.
