We had came to go to a concert. So when we finally made it back to the hotel that night the man at the desk was very nice. We bought snacks from the snack area(good selection!), then continued to our room. We found out we didn't have a remote for our TV. I went down to the desk and he gave me one. I went to the room...it didn't work. I went back to the desk. He was very kind and said it must be dead, and got me a different one. I then went back to the room. It worked. The room was also spacious and in a good location. Only about a 5 minute drive to the Midland theater and the Power and Light District.

The tv remote was missing. There was no shower curtain. I told them about both being missing the night we stayed there. They gave me a remote right then. I assume they put a shower curtain up after we left.

The staff were kind and helpful, room seemed clean, beds were comfortable.

This hotel is not in the best part of Kansas City, Missouri. KCMO is known for one of the highest rates of car theft in the United States. La Quinta in Kansas City does absolutely nothing to help protect your vehicle from theft. There are no functioning cameras in the parking lot, and outside lighting is a problem. It would behoove La Quinta to show the rest of the city how to protect its customers vehicles from theft by installing a gated entrance and exit that is only accessible to its patrons. If they did this I would stay there on my next visit.

It is in a quiet place, at least during our days there. Also, the personal is friendly. I had issues with my flight, and I could not be there during my first booked day, but they helped me to complete the check-in. I thought it would be another franchise hotel, but it was pleasant. I liked the decorations and the facilities. Our room was comfortable and with suitable space, and the bathroom was good enough; the pressure in the shower was excellent. The hotel is only accessible after hours with the room key, a good security point.

The breakfast is enough, but nothing special. It has the basics. There was only one "issue" with the housekeeping. During the morning, they knocked on the door once and then opened it. There was no time to answer and ask for more minutes to leave the room. But it wasn't anything serious either. It just caught us off guard.

The hotel was very nice. We had expected basic amenities but were very pleasantly surprised at the size of our room - it was very big with a huge bed, lovely sofa and a good sized bathroom. Had read some reviews complaining about the water pressure but we had zero problems there, shower was lovely.

Location is a little far out which usually doesn't bother us as we like walking around a lot during our holidays however the area doesn't feel safe at night which meant we had to spend quite a bit on Ubers. But that's more of a Kansas City problem than a problem with the hotel itself :-)

The room size was great. The room, hallways and common areas were clean. The bed was super comfy. I love that they actually give enough pillows, 5 for a king size bed. Most hotels don't do this anymore so it was a nice touch and helps make sleeping more comfortable. They also provide a good brand of toiletries. They had a variety of lamps and lighting which is always a perk for me since I prefer dim lighting but others may prefer the brighter options.

It is advertised on booking that checkout is noon but the hotel makes it very clear that checkout is at 11. I don't blame the hotel for this but wanted to mention for anyone planning to stay for a later checkout option as advertised by booking.

It was the most convenient hotel that I’ve stayed at for traveling with my elderly mom who uses a wheelchair. The shower has a rubber lip that prevented the water from going all over the bathroom floor. The little chair table in the room was perfect for her the wheelchair. The room was big. The bed wasn’t so high that she needed a step to get on it. Timothy at the front desk was so helpful, friendly, and just pleasant. He was outstanding. I liked the toiletries they provided. The breakfast was pretty good! The muffins and coffee were great!

The mattresses were not as comfort as other hotels. They were too soft.

The room was spacious (especially for two people); the staff was friendly and very helpful. The breakfast was great and had everything we would look for in a continental breakfast: scrambled eggs, sausage, waffles, cereal, and fruit. My wife enjoyed the bagles and yogurt as well. This hotel is within a 30-minute walking distance to Union Station.

There was nothing we did not like at this hotel.

The staff was very friendly, professional, and accommodating, especially Tim. He went above and beyond to provide excellent customer service. I also loved the location. It was safe and perfectly situated for visiting downtown as well as historic sites in the area.

There needed to be some guidelines on the behavior of children and youth who were staying. Nothing wrong with them having fun and being somewhat raucous, but there needs to be enforcement on the timeline for it because it added stress on the staff and annoyance for some of the occupants. Parents were on the patio partying instead of setting some ground rules.

Breakfast was ok but the scrambled eggs and sausage patties were just left to themselves in the serving containers (no heating once they were deposited) so were always tepid every time I went down to breakfast. Lots of bread, bagels and spreads to make up for it via the toaster though. Didn't mind that it was a bit of a distance to downtown as ride shares were very cheap and made it much better value to stay here than in the centre. Really nice big clean and new looking rooms as well.

The man who checked us in was very nice. He told us about the city and asked if we had any questions about what to do or suggestions on where to eat. That was super helpful. He was just as nice upon checkout. Beds were super comfy and room was quiet and nice.

Parking was a bit of a mess since it had no outlet once you got in front of the building. If the lot was full, you have to back all the way back out. Dangerous, as people moving around in the parking lot aren’t paying a lot of attention as they are handling their luggage. Breakfast wasn’t very good, in my opinion. But that’s my issue. I was expecting something like scrambled eggs and a meat. The only meat was in the sausage gravy and that stuff is horrible tasting; management should actually try it and then change it quick! 🤢
