Everything! Really beautiful building, great rooms, location and a super helpful and warm staff! They were so service minded and always went the extra mile that made us feel really taken care of. They were also amazing with our baby, he received so much love! Already planning our next trip back to this wonderful hotel.

Everything was perfect! Would have been even better with a kettle to make some tea in the room but it’s not necessary!

This hotel was absolutely Great !! the location was a 20 minute walk from the river crossing into the city ( also a $1:50 bus ride , with the stop being steps from the front door). During our walk, we discovered an amazing restaurant on the right side of the road 4 minutes down the road! Another fabulous restaurant is even closer to the property . The hotel was gorgeously decorated and the staff was so friendly/helpful . The woman that tended to breakfast was lovely !!! And the breakfast spread was over the top with selection and quality. And, if that wasn’t enough, the veranda overlooking the pool was the perfect setting for dining. A MUST STAY

Staying at the Park Palace Hotel felt like being a guest in a luxury villa. The location is in a high-end neighborhood, on the top of a hill -- about a 20-minute walk from the center of town. Don't be put off by the walk. The road to town is down a little street where, if you look up and read the signs, you will discover the former residences of Tchaikovsky (just around the corner) and Galileo (about half way down) among others. Stunning. Our room was quiet, clean, and comfortable. The staff are friendly and helpful, giving advice and directions, recommending local places to eat (follow their advice!). My favorite thing about Park Palace might be the beautiful breakfast room and patio. I have included photos. The photo with the pool is the view I snapped from my breakfast table on the patio. We took our breakfast there every day, even in the rain. The breakfast is gorgeous! Hard to say which is better, the food or the atmosphere. There is also a photo of the library. We did not eat at the bistro on site, but it looked great, and is open in the evenings. As a side note, we also stayed at a luxury hotel in the center of town for a couple of nights on this trip. But we found we missed the homey and relaxed atmosphere of the Park Palace. Next time we are in Florence, we know just where to stay. This property is highly recommended.

Unlike a large hotel, a few basics were not in the room (i.e. an ironing board), but if you ask there is one available to borrow. I am not sure this is a negative. Just be prepared. If you need something, just ask. Also, if you are a person on foot, this villa is on top of a hill. The walk down is easy -- but you will need to be able to walk uphill for about 15 minutes to return. Of course there are taxis, but we loved the walk every night. Again, not a negative, but something you should know if mobility is an issue. Cabs can be found only at Taxi ranks in town. So, if you want to stay here and have trouble walking, I would recommended you learn the location of taxi ranks -- some of the local maps have them marked.

The staff were very helpful and friendly and breakfast was very good. The bed was comfortable and the travel cot was great for our toddler. It rained while we were there, but I’m sure the garden/pool is lovely in the summer. While the place might have been great 20-30 years ago, it really needs some serious work done to match the prices.

The most frustrating thing was the noise from the pipes every night. It woke us up a couple of times every night. Also, the hotel is far from city centre if you’re with small children (especially having to come up the hill) and there’s not much to do around the hotel, unfortunately.

The location, the villa, the staff, the breakfast were so lovely!!! I was very impressed by the kindness, professionalism and assistance of the staff. It really made the difference not being in the center of Florence and being surrounded by trees and super close to Piazzale Michelangelo and San Miniato Church. It felt amazing also having the option to use the beautiful living room and the garden close to the swimming pool. I also loved the little details, all very Tuscan.

I expected my room to be slightly bigger and a bit more luminous comparing with the pictures of the website. Yet, I am aware I booked super last minute (probably less than 24 hrs prior my stay) and I know it was for one person and it was the last room available.

Excellent choice of breakfast. Large bathroom and bedroom . Beautiful furnished Florentine villa in a beautiful tranquil setting with a lovely terrace overlooking the pool and gardens. Approximately 20 mins walk to the centre of Florence but bus stop just outside. Nice view overlooking the distant hills and Florence skyline.Would definitely stay here again without hesitation.

It would have been nice to have tea/coffee making facilities or even a kettle in the room.

Beautiful Palazzo set in the hills overlooking Florence. Our room was very spacious and comfortable with a good size bathroom with lovely toiletries. We enjoyed having breakfast on the terrace overlooking the pool, a great way to start the day! The breakfast was very good with a lovely selection to choose from. The public areas are beautiful, more like staying in a fabulous house, with a great lounge/sitting room and grand staircase in the hallway. The staff were very friendly and accommodating. Great pool area which is great to relax by and a respite from sightseeing in Florence. There are couple of local restaurants within walking distance but if you want real choice you have to go into Florence which is a 20 minute walk and includes a steep downhill or a bus ride. Great base to explore the wider area either by train or car.

City parking in front of property at end of street (beyond our car gps), property carpark at property in diplomatic area (Swiss embassy onsite in separate guard house), historic property, great hospitality (I was exhausted when arrived- staff parked the car for me and brought luggage up for me), large and comfortable suite with nice view, amazing mattresses, great breakfast, handwritten note plus cake plus small champaghe bottle for happy new year, was brought a chamomile tea when unwell at night. Very attentive and smiling staff at breakfast. Loved the antiques. Downstairs room looks amazing. Definitely feels like 5 stars, even if 4 stars as no kitchen 24 hours. Most professionally run hotel, well done!

Bathroom bath could be changed to a walk in shower with additional spa with some reconfiguring and updating, seeing space in bathroom. Military boats on wall could be updated to something friendlier and more local Free shuttle bus to old centre would be nice as driving in city centre not allowed or payable 1 hour tour with 3 stops to go into El Duomo, Santa Croce plus one more stop with earlier booking.

The most beautiful hotel in the most peaceful of locations, in a very established residential area close to parks and about 20 mins walk into Florence main attractions. We could not fault our stay, on arrival we were upgraded to the most amazing “room with a view” along with a large tray of assorted fruit! 🍇 Breakfast was excellent, great coffee and ample choice of good quality food, pastries, eggs, jams and cheeses. Lots of choice of where to have breakfast in dining room, terrace overlooking pool or lounge. The staff were discreet and very welcoming, particularly reception. Wonderful bistrot with great quality food served, was closed on Sundays. Just the most perfect few days, like staying in a private mansion with staff really! Would book again for sure

Lots of mozzies by the pool, we were there after quite a rainy spell…some complimentary mosquito spray would have been a nice touch. Also, there was no bar…you could get a drink but you had to go and find someone first. Maybe an honesty bar in the corner of the lounge like we have seen in a few English country hotels 🍸🍹

Large bedroom with period features and beautifully furnished and a comfortable bed. Large bathroom with dressing gowns complimentary slippers good quality bathroom cosmetics. The room also had a large balcony facing the pool with countryside views. Generally quiet we did not notice the road noise. The breakfast had a variety of options, cold meats, cheese’s, pastries, fruit, with quality tea’s and coffee. The only hot option was scrambled eggs. Also a variety of bread’s. Generally excellent breakfast.

The rooms need a charging station for your phones and other IT equipment. The pool was too cold for me and could easily be heated. I noticed only a few residents braved the water. Better quality and a selection of pillows. A bit of a hike from the town centre. The bus route was very close to the hotel. We did have long waits on two days when the bus was delayed. The other option is an expensive taxi ride back.
