Good breakfast, friendly staff at breakfast, good location, comfortable beds

Room was smaller than anticipated, good layout but hallway and bathroom were narrow and small, ceilings were low, decor needs improvement

Check in was quick and easy! The room was clean and ready to go, opened the doors to the balcony immediately to listen to the ocean and see the beautiful views! Enjoyed the variety at breakfast each day and Bonnie was a joy to speak with! We mainly vacationed here to relax, (which we did!) Went on Rudees dolphin tour-highly recommend this, we saw so many Dolphins, however even if you do not the boat ride is wonderful! We biked everywhere- if you can bring your own bike I suggest you do. "Live On Atlantic"- this normally begins on June 1-we were lucky there happened to be performances the one Friday in May we were there. If you are in need of a grocery store go to Harris Teeter on 28th Street-it has everything you need! The beach is cleaned and raked everyday and you can usually spot a dolphin or two travelling back and forth.

The rooms although clean, are becoming outdated, would have loved to have been able to keep our patio door open to listen to the ocean at night but there are no screens in place. They also ask you to keep the doors closed to prevent a swarm of bugs going in your room( don't worry these bugs don't bite :)). The fighter Jets,:( there are jets constantly flying over during the week-they are LOUD! Did not enjoy this part at all-this is probably one reason why we would not return to Virginia Beach, as beautiful as it is. I would also suggest that the employees at the hotels and restaurants on the boardwalk be more informed of what events are happening on the boardwalk in order to let the tourists know.

Amazing oceanfront view. Walking distance to many restaurants and bars. Good breakfast with a lot of options. Right on the boardwalk to the beach .

Can’t bring breakfast food to room. Wasn’t informed about $100 fee to cover damages/smoking. I was forced to pay $100 when I arrived and was told the $100 would be refunded back to my account 7-10 business days after my stay.

The location was beautiful and centrally located. The hotel was very very clean. The staff was very friendly.

Could use updating, but it was very clean. Breakfast mediocre.

We had to leave before the brkf. Probably should start the brkf earlier for people that have a long trip after they leave your hotel

That my husband couldn't relax with a small cigar on the private balcony As long as you keep the door to the hotel room closed this shiuld be allowed.

Stayed here for the 2nd time for Shamrock marathon weekend. Good location, walkable to start with view of runners in front on Saturday and marathon finishers from the back or balconey on Sunday. Room was clean & quiet, and included medium frig for race food and basic coffee system. Free parking was a nice bonus. Breakfast room staff were super nice only, unfortunately got to eat 1 day due to early race start.

No extended check out time for marathon runners though requested. Room well cleaned but was showing some signs of wear.

The included breakfast was outstanding. The main hot dish was different each day and included a plentiful variety available each day. The servers were amazing. They were friendly, attentive and very personal. For this reason alone, I will highly recommend this hotel to family and friends and shall return very soon. Thank you to everyone. I wish I could list several of their names 😊

It is no reflection on the hotel, but they were setting up for a three day concert on the beach. The entire project is on going during several weeks of April, and tear down continuing several weeks into May. It includes several miles of prime beach and boardwalk. In my opinion, It is hugely detrimental to the Virginia Beach location for very little gain. I wonder about the impact it will have on the marine life. 😔 😟

The hotel was in the middle of the boardwalk, with a great location and ocean view. All of the staff were friendly. The front desk was helpful and kind, and housekeeping was fantastic. I believe she was the hotel manager. She walked around during breakfast to ask how everything was. Breakfast was free and excellent. A little bit of everything for everyone! There was free coffee at the front lobby all day. The pool and hot tub were great, the pool was a little cold, but had really good hours. The washer and dryer we decently priced. It was a really comfortable stay.

One of my biggest complaints would be no broom and dustpan in the room. I know that housekeeping is willing to come in and clean the rooms, but being right on the beach, it would be nice to have a broom to sweep up the sand. We stayed for 5 days and 4 nights and prefer not to have housekeeping come in, just our personal preference. My second but minor complaint would be to monitor guests a little more coming from the beach. We went to the pool mid afternoon, and there was sand all over the floor and in the pool. There is a faucet outside to rinse off. I don't know why guests would go from beach to pool without rinsing. Previous hotels we've stayed at strictly enforced rinsing off prior to entering the pool.

Our family of four - a 6 year old, a 3 year old + mom & dad - found our room to work exceptionally well for our needs. We used an in room cot for our toddler and found there was space for it both in the living room space with a pull out couch for our 6 year old, or in the king bedroom. We were able to roll it between the spaces throughout the trip to accommodate napping during the day and night time sleeping. We appreciated the rolling door that separated the spaces, as well as the mini fridge and microwave in the room. The hot continental breakfast provided lots of options including waffles and pancakes everyday and was a highlight for the kids along with the pool. I appreciated the onsite laundry. Easy beach access even with the sand restoration taking place on the beach. Finally the staff was exceptionally friendly and helpful - especially in the breakfast area.

The mattress and pillow situation were fine, but not the most comfortable. Breakfast hours and pool hours started later than we would have liked with young kids who wake up very hungry and ready to play.

We liked the hotel location (lots of restaurants within walking distance), the layout of the King Suite, the free parking and free breakfast. Staff was friendly and the hotel was kept very clean.

Unfortunately, the only working elevator (the other one was already under repair upon our arrival) decided to break down the evening before our departure. Getting our luggage from the 9th floor to our car parked in the Garage 5th floor the next morning was exhausting for us, as we are both Seniors.
