I really don't want people to know about this place because I would rather it remain a secret. But in all fairness to PRRM and the owners/managers, Ian and Sue, their place deserves serious consideration and praise. If you are looking for a quiet, comfortable, clean, efficiently run resort, look no further when you visit this part of New Zealand. This is not Vegas, this is not glitz and glamour, this is pure and simple stunning beauty. Hawaii has nice beaches, but they are crowded with tourists. The Tutukaka area beaches are gorgeous and amazing and NOT crowded!! We spent 10 days here in paradise and hope to return as soon as possible, too bad its such a long way from Colorado!! :( Check their website pictures to see this little piece of serenity and peace.

Location is beautiful. We only spent two nights there with the kids and spent the majority of our time at the resort, we didn't need to go anywhere else. The games room and pool were a hit with the kids. The private beach is beautiful and has a pontoon which was a hit for the whole family. Lots of swimming fun. The tennis court also got lots of use from us. The manager is very friendly. The small shop on site is handy for some items, but we did a big shop at the supermarket in Whangarei before we headed to the resort.

We loved the entire resort. Family-friendly, beautiful views and enjoyed our time exploring the private bays available to resort only. We loved the fact that within 20 minutes of this beautiful place, we also got to explore 5 other bays in the area. Pool and Spa were a hit for the kids before dinner and cooling off from hot days and the park and trampoline kept our little one happy.

This isn't a dislike, more of a notice to families with 5 year Olds under. It's important to know that you are staying on top of a hill and there is a non-fenced hill on the side of the driveway, super important to keep a close eye on your babies.

Tutukaka is a special place and Pacific Rendezvous sits up on the point with a commanding view of Tutukaka harbour which includes the expanse of the Pacific Ocean, the tidal changes within the harbour and amazing Pohutukawa trees which in season are spectacular. A reset for the mind and soul. The accommodation is fine, individually owned units, which are immaculately maintained and spotlessly clean. Rooms are well equipped and accommodate different numbers of guests. Each unit has its own view and what you can't see from one you can see by just walking around the corner! Good selection of cafes and restaurants. If the beaches off the Pacific Rendezvous don't suit a short drive either north or south provide more options for swimming, surfing and fishing. Last visit was my fourth and I wasn't disappointed.

Absolutely nothing!

The room was great loved the view, facilities were nice the private beach access was the best, also the spa and pool were amazing.

The staff (male) seem to always growl my children in the pool or playing in the room made them uncomfortable, they were doing exactly what the other kids were doing but they were not getting into trouble, which made them not want to swim in the pool or pretty much go out, my elder daughters were also interrogated by the same male staff member while helping me out by doing my washing, they also were left feeling uncomfortable

Very clean, reasonable views if one went to the boundary of the property. The kitchen was well-stocked and well-organized, the beds comfortable and the TV offered most of the SKY channels.

We were in room 14 which had limited sea views compared to many of the others. It was next to a busy car parking area and laundry which meant people were walking past frequently resulting in what we felt was a lack of privacy. Access to the private beaches involved long walks down (and then up again) steep slopes and many stairs - impractical for older or infirm people. The rooms we were in could hardly be called a villa, as described on the website. Not at all bad for a motel room, but not nearly villa size or status.

I love the private beach that you can walk down to and also the pool and the spa pool was great. We also love that there was an outdoor table to eat and enjoy the amazing views. There was also a playground onsite and a little store where you can buy stuff if needed. It was also 5 mins away from the tutukaka marina which was handy when we went to the saturday night markets. The beds were also really comfy and we had everything we needed for our family of 5. Staff was very accommodating and we were able to check in an hour early as well. Highly recommend!

I wish the games room had board games as well that people can borrow.

Stunning views surrounding the area. Very clean and fully equipped kitchen. If weather is good the access to the beach is great and be warned there's lots of steps to get to it which I didn't mind but some may need to know this ahead.

I didn't like the fact that there were no bath robes or slippers. When you have a spa and a swimming pool you'd expect to have these things or warn your guest to bring their own. The spa has no proper shelter so when it was raining it went right through the cover on top which didn't make the experience enjoyable. I also didn't like that the toilet and bathroom were downstairs and the bedroom was upstairs.

The location of this hotel is stunning with vista views from room and grounds. I could name a few hotels with better views however they are major city hotels or a hotel directory overlooking the beach. This hotel offers views of the natural world and will take some beating. Our hosts were very welcoming and their information booking was very well presented particularly local spots to visit, photos of beaches good. Ian you remind me of our oldest son, making sure to dot the Is and cross the T's. Well done, many thanks

Nothing, other than getting out of the car to open the gate.

The location is really good. One of the sides you can enjoy the harbor view of Tutukaka, while the other side is the ocean view. There are some facilities for you to enjoy the stay, such as hot spa tub, table game room, swimming pool, tennis yard, playground, BBQ equipments, private beach. We meet a fur seal when exploring one of the beaches area.

The WiFi is not connected well, but we kind of happy to live without the internet temporarily when escaping from busy life.
