Clean and functional room, fully stocked kitchenette, lovely terrace with picnic table, each room has a private parking space right at the entrance, shops and restaurants nearby.

Fantastic apartment in a perfect location, and had everything we could possibly have needed for our overnight stay. Clean, super comfortable beds, and lots of lovely, luxurious little touches, like candles in the spa bathroom, lavender bags and chocolates on the pillows, milk and water in the fridge, and biscuits, tea and coffee sachets provided for a welcome drink. Umbrellas were available in reception to borrow, which was handy as it was raining when we went out to explore the town. I just could not fault this place, and wouldn’t hesitate to return if we are lucky enough to be in the area again.

The only comment my son made about the single bed in the lounge, where he was sleeping, was that although it was extremely comfortable, the fact that it was side on to the wall, and therefore had no headboard, the pillow kept falling off the bed in the night. But other than that, everything was just perfect.

Lovely spot with an angled view to Lake Te Anau, less than 5 minute walk to the nearest Four Square store and 10 minute walk to the bigger supermarket and a number of restaurants, takeaways and bars. Dave, the owner was friendly and relaxed. The unit, with the couch and lazy boy had a nice homely feel. The beds were comfortable and the unit was clean and well appointed with nice toiletries provided.

The fact the hot water supply didn't allow for a spa bath and the other guests to have a shower until several hours later meant we didn't use the amenity as we have originally planned (and we had paid extra for the unit to have one). My suggestion is that the 4-person units with the spa baths need to have a hot water cylinders big enough to cater for this.

Beautiful grounds. Rooms were spacious and extremely clean. Location was perfect right across from the lake.. Owners were amazing and super helpful. Super nice! Book it and don't look back! See photos.

This was not a problem for us, but the rooms open up to a road on one side with sliding doors. The road is slightly busy during the day (nothing major) and very quite at night. They have nice tables outside the sliding doors to enjoy some NZ wine.

Location perfect - right opposite the lake and easy walk to the main shops and restaurants. Loved the size of the rooms - large separate lounge and bedroom. Nice touches, such as lavender bags and chocolates on the pillows, real milk in the fridge. Quiet rooms (couldn't hear neighbours). Loved the decor, while dated it was clean and very comfortable (lazy boy furniture) - reminded me of places we stayed in Canada! Very friendly, accommodating staff. My favourite place that we stayed in during our 8-night (6 places) trip.

Lack of aircon (but this was true in most places we stayed in NZ).

Loved the location. Walking distance to cafes and supermarket. Unit was spacious and clean. Ample room to unpack. Enough cooking facilities. Laundry facility on site

Not much really. The only thing I would suggest is for the owners to update the tourist information they had in the folder in the unit. Whilst we were grateful for the info, it was out of date to the point that most attraction/activity prices had increased by over 100%.

This Motel hands down, was the most luxurious comfortable well appointed facility we stayed in of the 7 different hotels/motels on our recent trip, the attention to detail of our room from Lavender and chocolates on our pillows , to the candles for our spa bath , The most comfortable beds we had experienced , and the full lounge suite , superb :-) Staff were super frendly and helpful, Would stay again and Highly recommend to all , Many Thanks Ross W

Cold not fault in any aspect

Excellent location. Very friendly & helpful staff. Exceptionally well equipped. Fantastic views of the lake. By far the best accommodation in the whole of a 3 week tour of NZ. Only place I found with a clothes drying rack for washing, a full length mirror & everything you could possibly need in a kitchen! Wish i’d booked it for a little longer xx

Location was perfect right by the waterfront, minutes walk to the shops and nice walks by the lake. The room was very clean and spacious. The big spa bath was wonderful. What they did really well is the extra little touches they gave the room. It was well decorated and comfy furniture but there were chocolates on the pillows and little lavender bags, biscuits with the tea. Wonderful stay.

convenient location walking distance to lake front and shops. French doors opening to outdoor table means it feels l as like a motel room, nice outlook (but definitely not lakefront location)

no insect screens on windows, kitchen rules regarding cooking smells (statement that you could be charged $100s extra is you cook something that leaves smells in the room)
