This hotel provided the most exceptional stay we have ever experienced. The facilities were outstanding, and the restaurant was one of the finest we’ve visited, offering both exquisite food and a warm, inviting atmosphere. However, the most remarkable aspect was the staff. From the moment we arrived, they made us feel at home with their incredible attention to detail, professionalism, and genuine warmth. Special mention to Alex, whose impeccable wine knowledge, fascinating stories, and personal attention made every dinner unforgettable. Denusha and Henrique also enhanced the dining experience with their kindness and flawless service. At breakfast, Wendy, Erika and Lucas brightened every morning with her care and cheerfulness. Also they have the BEST BREAKFAST IN EUROPE!!! The bar was another highlight, thanks to Manuel, who crafted perfect drinks and created a relaxing ambiance. Ps: Do not skip the chance to have dinner here, the chef is FANTASTIC! This hotel is the perfect combination of perfectionism and warmth, making it feel like a home away from home.

The staff communication and assistance was top notch. Our flight was delayed getting in and they arranged our transfer from the airport very late and greeted us at the door with smiles. The breakfast was the best of our entire two week trip and the staff was wonderful. Highly recommend the Turkish Eggs for breakfast. Our room was dreamy, with a window opening to the sunrise. The bed and linens were luxurious; we slept like babies. The architecture, design, and furnishings were gorgeous. Every morning we had detox water available in the lobby and in the evenings, a drink in the plush bar after walking around town. The location was central and it was an easy walk to the castle. Lots of restaurants in the area. The staff was hands down the best. They made the whole stay extraordinary.

The breakfast was amazing. So civilised. Just order from the menu and they bring it with smiles and courtesy. Love the fresh fruit juices (seasonal), love the porridge and I tested their poached eggs. Really good! The dinner was also amazing. Loved it. We got lucky with the bedroom, it overlooks the courtyard so it was lovely and quiet. So nice to wake up to the morning sun - this is even though it was a wet weekend when I got there. Plus the location was perfect.

Cannot really complain. The staff were so lovely and polite. I needed extra sheets one evening and they provided with no fuss at all. If there was one thing i would say I was disappointed I couldn't buy their Claus Porto hand wash, which was out of stock at the time.

The breakfast was incredibly delicious with so many options. The service throughout our stay exceeded our expectations. The room was dark and quiet and beds so comfortable. Such beautiful and charming hotel.

We didn't mind the climb to get to the hotel, but some travelers should know that it is at the top of a hill coming from the city center.

Everything. From the moment we arrived, Ruben and his colleague checked us in. Before we knew it, our baggage was already in our room, which they upgraded. This was a very nice touch for my wife's 60th birthday. We loved the hotel and its history, and the staff (all) were amazing. Thank you! A special thank you to Ruben and the Concierge Team, Martin - Thanks for showing us the extension of the hotel coming up in 4 years or so (please invite us to the opening :) and of course Bruno from the Bar for making our evenings special and memorable, especially for wife birthday. Everything was perfect. We cannot share anything negative for this hotel or it's staff.

Amazing breakfast. Great location near restaurants. Walking distance to shopping areas. Enjoyed going just across the street from the hotel to see sunrise. Last but not least, the hotel staff were wonderful, friendly, attentive, and full of advice and suggestions for how we could most enjoy our time in Lisbon.

I wished there was a fitness center. However the staff recommended a number of places nearby. Otherwise it was great.

From the moment we arrived, until the moment we left, the service levels were incredible - there was nothing the hotel staff wouldn't do to make our stay as enjoyable as possible. I would name some of the people but would not want to leave anyone out, but every member of each team we interacted with was exceptional, from cleaning, to guest services, to restaurant. The location is brilliant - we were right in the middle of the historic Alfama area, yet the hotel was an oasis of calm, and a joy to return to each day and evening. I cannot recommend this hotel highly enough. It is not a cheap option, but the stay we had justified the expense and we will go back I'm sure.

That we couldn't stay longer than 3 nights. Other than that, the whole stay was fantastic.

This boutique hotel is in a beautiful, historic, building, in the heart of the Alfama, overlooking the sea. The facilities are lovely: the public spaces are tasteful with interesting paintings and photographs; there’s a fun cocktail bar, a restaurant and a café cum breakfast room, as well as a spa that we didn’t make use of. Our bedroom was spacious, calming and had a lovely view of the sea. Service was friendly throughout and the breakfasts were generous and made to order.

The location is outstanding. The staff is incredible and really go out of their way to make you feel comfortable. The food at the Audrey’s restaurant is outstanding. The property is very unique. The bathroom is huge. I’ve stayed at two different locations in Lisbon and this one is the best.

I didn’t have hot water in the shower. The staff immediately came up, but there was something wrong and it was never fixed. I was only there for two nights. This was an isolated incident, and not an overall reflection of the property.

I have never been to Lisbon and booked this based on reviews knowing nothing about the area. What a surprise, it is an older small boutique hotel of excellent quality and condition. The only mark for a view is our view was of a beautiful vegetated courtyard instead of an ocean view. But what privacy and quite that offered. The service was fantastic, above expectations. We were given cheese and meat plates in the room before dinner, the food in the restaurant was fantastic, and the best part was being able to walk less than one block to the most desired view point in Lisbon, and close proximity to other things like St Joes Castle, walks, etc.
