It was just a short walk from the train station and right in the heart of the city centre, close to many tourist attractions. I was welcomed by a friendly staff member, and the single room was comfortable and well-equipped with all the basic amenities—perfect for a solo traveller. I had no issues during my stay at Garner Hotel and would gladly recommend it to anyone visiting, whether travelling alone or with friends

The hotel is located in the city centre, so some street noise can be heard, and at times I also noticed sounds from the corridor. That was the only drawback; otherwise, the room was excellent.

Generally very good all round. Breakfest was very good but it would have been nice to have Croissants or pastries.

The hotel - the last night of my cycling holiday - was easy to find, and it was easy to get from there to the cathedral and the station. The cathedral was open remarkably late in the evening. I was taking photos just before 8 pm, and went back next morning for a more thorough visit. The breakfast was good, and there were pleasant restaurants nearby. I had bought a big bottle of water several weeks earlier and kept refilling it to hydrate myself as I cycled. I took the empty to a supermarket and I think I got more back for the bottle than I had paid for it!

We stayed only briefly, but I haven’t seen a cleaner room in a long time than the one we had in this small yet charming hotel. The staff were exceptionally kind — the gentleman who welcomed us that evening when we arrived, as well as Mr. Ivan, who was on duty when we were leaving. This hotel is a perfect ten! I have to say, I’ve never slept in a more comfortable bed — even some five-star hotels can’t compare. This hotel is a perfect ten!

The staff was friendly and he rooms were very nice for a family. The breakfast was a nice way to get the morning started. The location was good and easy to walk to anywhere we wanted, especially the Christmas markets

While the rooms were still a great price for the value, I wish I had paid ahead of time. There was a considerable difference in what we were asked to pay at the hotel versus what booking had. I showed the staff at checkin but they were unable to honor what the booking stated (around $400 difference for four rooms)

I booked the first inexpensive hotel I came across, just to spend the night on my way, and was simply shocked by the level of comfort. I'm not kidding - it was the most comfortable bed in my life. The nicest staff. The ideal location close to the train station and the cathedral, but at the same time not too close to the somewhat uncomfortable atmosphere at the station. Unexpectedly perfect.

The hotel has a perfect location — it’s very easy to reach from Köln HBF, just a few minutes’ walk away. The room was spacious, spotless, and the bed was extremely comfortable. Everything felt clean and well-maintained. The breakfast was fresh, varied, and plentiful. Overall, a great place to stay — highly recommended!
