Eugen was very nice and very knowledgeable, explaining all the details, very patient and polite, coffee was very good, the breakfast room very clean. The room was medium size for Europe standard, furniture is old but in good condition. I really recommend this hotel!

Based on other reviews we didn't expect too much, so it was easy to exceed our expectations. 😅 The room was small with four beds and the bathroom in the first room (in the first floor) didn't flush properly, so we were promptly moved to another 4-person room in the 4th floor. We had a room with a bathtub and view to the street, but the room was quiet enough. The free morning coffee with chocolates was great. The area wasn't as "seedy" as some people made it sound. Sure, there was a modest sex shop next door and it's not the prettiest street in the area, but it's only few steps away from the city center and a short walking distance from the main railway station. We could definitely stay here again.

The toilet in the first bathroom didn't flush properly but we were promptly moved to another room after we told about it at the reception. It's the four people bedroom in the first floor -- I suspect its the same some others have mentioned.

The location was very good near the Hauptbahnhof train station where it was easy to access the nearby grocery stores, the shopping at the train station, and the various transport options. It was also easy to get to the Karlsplatz and the historical part of the city. Like many of the areas around main train stations in Germany, there are still some elements of a former red lights district in the area, but we didn't feel unsafe in any way. The room itself was clean with all of the things we needed. Beds were fairly comfortable; none of us had difficulty sleeping.

The elevator can only hold 2 people so half of us walked up the stairs to our room on the 4th floor. The Wifi is free but isn't very strong; we only had a good signal by our room door.

The location was superb, with the city centre, Central Station and other public transport links a maximum 10-minute walk away. Considering the price, we couldn't have expected more. The hotel doesn't offer breakfast, but there is free coffee and tea available in the restaurant in the morning. The room and common area was cleaned every day and the staff were very nice. The hotel is located in a beautiful old theatre building, but unfortunately the season had not started yet, so we didn't have the opportunity to see inside it. Overall, we enjoyed our stay! One small recommendation for dinner: there's an excellent and authentic Thai restaurant called Ratchada across the street. The next door restaurant not recommended.

Friendly kind staff very knowledgeable about local area. Kindly allowed me to leave some luggage at the reception area before checking in to avoid wandering the city with lots of bags. Generally very clean and comfortable room, as one would expect!

No one on reception after 10pm. Wifi also switched off at this time, unfortunately. Also, we needed to checkout early and whilst ended up being no problem eventually, after forgetting to discuss with reception during the day, there were no clear instructions for how this should be done pre 7 o clock, which left me a little anxious as I was leaving (already in a rush to catch an early train!)

The location was absolutely PRIME! Within about a 10 minute walk is Old Town Munich and there, we found many tourist spots for pictures and activities. Everything we needed in terms of shopping was at our fingertips. The staff members were also exceptionally friendly and we had no issues overall with comfort at our stay.

We stayed here during the Oktoberfest season and drunk people were slamming walls and doors all over the hotel. This place seems to be older so all kinds of noise was very much noted. Also, the shower lacked shampoo and the water loved to leak underneath the door. We dealt with all of this very well but it might not be great for people who are sensitive to them.

A lovely old hotel, we stayed in the triple room and it was spacious and clean. Staff are friendly and welcoming. The hotel is a short pleasant walk to Marienplatz, Karlsplatz and Munich central Station.

Unfortunately this beautiful hotel has found itself existing amidst a changing social and cultural environment and we were advised to avoid walking around at night. Even in the day it was a little confronting, but we still walked during the day with no problems.

We booked a room for 3 people and got a room that had 4 single beds, which was nice and spacious. The room was clean and had everything you would expect. Beds are comfortable, more on the softer side. The location is really central and really easy to walk everywhere. The reception was nice and helpful, they allowed us to check in earlier. We had to leave very early the next day and did not have breakfast there, it is nice that they offered a to-go coffee or tea at check out.

The hotel is pretty old and there are some blemishes on the carpets/ floor. The walls are pretty thin, the next room had kids running around and we could hear them.

I had a pleasant stay at this hotel! The location is fantastic—just a short walk to the old town, making it easy to explore the city's historic charm. The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming, always ready to help with any requests. While the hotel and its facilities are a bit old, this was expected for the price and didn’t affect my stay. Everything was clean, and the WiFi worked well, which was a plus. Overall, a good value for the money, and I would stay here again!

First of all, the energy of the friendly and sympathetic receptionist was great. (He is 92 years old, the reason I mention this is that he is a very sympathetic and respectable person) Hotel owners should be honoured to work with such a person. The hotel is not luxurious but the hospitality of these wonderful people is beyond anything else. Only 4 minutes walk from the main train station and walking distance to the city centre. I recommend you to choose it.
