Location was very good, you can enjoy very beautiful sunsets from the coast. Very close by to waterfront where you have nice restaurants and walking area also in the night. Room was huge and very clean The restaurant inside the building serves delicious meals and breakfast. Staff was always very kind. The possibility of having inside parking was very appreciated.

The room goes directly to an outside area, thus making it a bit cold despite switching the heating on the AC on. There is only one international socket on the other side of the room, so charging devices was always a bit tricky.

If you are a tv addict then this is not the place.

I loved the spacious room and the view was gorgeous. The staff was friendly and accomodating. I love the fact the restuarant forms part of the Hotel lobby and it is very cozy. I would definitely recommend it for an overnight stay or more, like we did. The hotel has a perfect location, close to amenities and lots more.

The fact that the checking in time is at 14h00, could be a bit earlier to accomodate, especially if you are checking back in and dont have to walk around with your bags.

Fabulous on site staff.

The reservations team took my booking and payment, but whenI arrived, they said the hotel was full. They moved me to a sister property in an terrible location where the room rate was far less. I was with a friend and we had to commute between the two hotels in heavy traffic. I only received confirmation that I would be refunded the difference about a week after the mess up and after I had to complain! Not great!

The location of the hotel is phenomenal, providing mountain and sea views. We had the mountain view room overlooking the stadium and Golf course. The room was very comfortable accommodating our needs and I personally liked the modern design of it. Staff were helpful and friendly. The Sotano restaurant had a great vibe to it and provided good breakfast throughout our stay.

The turning mechanism for the lock on the door wasn't sturdy enough and broke on our last night. The frame of the door also needs to be repaired as it was slightly damaged which we noticed from the start of our stay.

The staff were so friendly and helpful from the minute we walked in. The breakfast was absolutely amazing! We stayed in a side view room which had everything we needed.

After coming from somewhere with a soundproof room, it was a bit noisy, but nothing a pair of earplugs can't help you with. Our room only had 1 plate and glass, would have just been great to have some more cutlery/crockery (2)...

Location fantastic, easy walk to V&A and restaurants. Wonderful views. Bar and restaurant on site always busy and served really good food. The service provided by waiter Sam was exceptional. The room was cleanish if you didn’t look too closely but the bed linen was spotless and the bed huge and very comfortable. We felt very safe and able to walk to different restaurants on an evening.

The lift, stairways, landings and even parts of the room itself could do with maintenance, upgrades and cleaning.

Rooms 5/5 Service 5/5 Location 5/5 Hotel highlights - Great view · Kid-friendly. Rooms - My seaview room was spacious and with a fabulous view of the sea. It is also very clean and the staff operate a great service. Nearby activities - A beautiful lighthouse is about a 3min walk and it's operational and lovely. Safety - This hotel is set on the promenade and I've walked around most of it in the daytime – it has been totally safe and at no time at all did I feel unsafe. I am a man so this may be slightly different for others. Food & drinks - The food and drinks served by the staff are fabulous and tasty. I've been through most of the red wines here. They are very well priced and there are some pure delights. I am not going to comment on specific ones as you need to go through the menu yourself. The staff are also excellent. This is such a slick and professional establishment, it's unbeatable. ******************** FYI some time ago I was fortunate enough to stay at the Waldorf-Astoria New York. Don't get me wrong, the Waldorf A. is an exceptional hotel, but in terms of service, location and the professionalism and friendliness of the staff, the Splendida is better. I have absolutely no problem recommending this hotel, and if anything is slightly off (which I doubt it will be), when you're there, mention it to any one of the staff and it will be fixed with an apology and a smile.

Some of the bedding could have been been newer or mended.

The room is spacious and clean. Loved the king size bed, Bathroom facilities good and clean. Especially enjoyed the shower. We have eaten at Sotano on a previous occasion and enjoyed the menu. We never partook in the breakfast this time around. Enjoyed the walk to Oranjezigzt market and Sea pointe pavilion.

Couldn't open the sliding door - understand this could be a safety issue . The television reception challenging-could have been weather related . These minor issues did not have a negative impact on our stay at all.
