Beautiful, great staff, wonderful food.

That I had to book through booking.com. Please book directly to the hotel website is my advice. Booking.com booked 2 rooms for me instead of 1!! I contacted them to say that I only needed one, and they did not respond. I thankfully visited the hotel the day before I needed to arrive, and between us.. we were able to sort out, and I was not charged for two room which would have been very expensive. I’m sorry, but I Will never again book through your website. I’m will book directly to the hotel website.

The location was perfect. We loved the character of the building the room was comfortable. We ate at Viu one evening and the food and the service were excellent. Terrible music! How about something more ethnic?

we quite like reading our books in bed, but there were two very thin pillows and a hard bed head. This could’ve been sorted out with some cushions or more pillows. The chairs were uncomfortable to sit in so this was not an option. The music in the courtyard was a little bit too loud (you could cut this out if you closed your windows, but it was nice to have the fresh air) and also I would strongly suggest that you change the type of music as it is really dreadful lift music. We were in Mallorca How about something more ethnic? Breakfast was okay but despite having mentioned the toaster a couple of times it still made no difference. It is not toast. It is warm bread that comes out regardless of what you do.

Lovely hotel. Really beautiful building, as soon as you step into the entrance hall, with its beautiful marble floor and stone arches with high ceilings. The rooms are spacious and comfortable. We slept very well. The bathroom is well equipped with a walk in shower, lots of water flow, and really nice and hot. There is also a toilet and bidet. The staff were so friendly. They always recognised us, greeted us with a smile as they handed us the room key. Reception staff were happy to help with advice regarding buses and times to help us explore the island. Breakfast was included and a wide variety was provided. Again the staff in the restaurant could not be more helpful and friendly. The breakfast included juices, coffee, Cava (bit early for me) various breads croissants and pastries etc, cold meats, cheeses, fruits, and cooked breakfast. The cooked breakfast consisted of slices of tortilla (Spanish omelet) scrambled eggs, baked beans and jamon style bacon. This is the only area I thought could be a little better. Some fried or poached eggs, some sausages and some normal bacon would have suited my English taste better. The hotel is ideally situated just a minutes walk from the city centre, yet nice and quiet at night. Overall lovely hotel and I would happily stay again.

The cooked breakfast options were limited

Historic building beautifully renovated and well furnished. Spotless rooms with supremely comfortable bed. Efficient Air Con. The hotel is tucked away just off the Passeig del Born, an ideal central location yet a quiet and calm oasis away from the noise and bustle of central Palma. Easy check-in and check-out. Helpful staff at Reception. Charming courtyard restaurant for al fresco drinking and dining.

Breakfast Buffet was adequate but laid out in a dark, gloomy room just off the courtyard. Air Con was not working during our visit and it was uncomfortably hot which was not the most appealing place to serve cold meats and cheeses, fruits and yoghurts. Fortunately, we were able to eat outside in the courtyard when it stopped raining.

The hotel is very nice, in a historical building in the centre of city. It has a very nice restaurant in the courtyard wuth very tasty food. The personnel was also very kind. Can only recommend it!

There are no elevators. The personnel carries the luggage for you but if you have difficulty climbing stairs might not be the place for you. The rooms are located above the inner courtyard (which is very beautiful) where there is a bar and restaurant, which is open until around midnight. It is quite noisy in the room from the restaurant.

Very good location. Huge bathroom. Great breakfast in the central garden. Friendly and helpful staff. Very comfortable bed.

Room 101 was too small for the large bed. A poorly positioned small desk made it very difficult to get around the room, so we moved it and the mini fridge beneath it. It was fine after that. Room 101 is also just above reception and noise carried up the stairs. The night reception staff member was very good in clearing the noisy guests from the lobby after my complaint around 12:30 am. Both the bathroom and the bedroom were relatively poorly lit. I needed to use my phone light to see in the wardrobe. We didn't feel it was very good value for €320 per night.

Great location/ decor/ reception staff/ cleaning. Bar facility not good as no atmosphere and cold outside. Heaters/ burners would have helped and encouraged customers. Breakfast was sub contracted and we didn’t feel the hot food offering was good at all. Raw bacon/ powdered eggs ( cold) and beans/ tortilla. Boiled eggs would be better. Toaster poor. Let the hotel down. Our room was on the front so very noisy late at night and early morning. Would request back room next time.

I honestly thought this was a 5 star hotel and was surprised when I arrived to see this place was only 4 stars. Regardless, my stay here was amazing. The location of this hotel is just superb. It’s close to everything you need to see in Palma, right in the city center but not too close to all the noise, yet still close to all the attractions and the ocean!! It’s a bit tricky to arrive here by taxi and honestly I would tell the taxi to drop you off on the Main Street somewhere and just walk on foot the rest of the way instead of having the taxi go further as the hotel is on a one way street and the driver will have to approach the hotel from the opposite side (costs a lot more to do this than to just be dropped off and walk). For my stay, I was really comfortable on the 2nd floor (no elevator). I got a room right next to the stairs and immediately wanted to change because it could get loud with people coming down and up the stairs, the staff was helpful to find another room and let me see it before switching. The other room was on the third floor and did not smell very good so instead I stayed in the same room next to the stairs. The room did get noisy sometimes with people coming down and up the stairs but it was manageable. Also the noise from the outside only occurred until 11:30pm so it wasn’t really a bother to me at all. That being said, the room was clean, the AC worked perfectly, and the shower was boiling hot (for more than 20 minutes!!) something that doesn’t happen often in hotels. The staff were also very nice and particularly a curly brown-haired and average height guy (I don’t know the name of) was very helpful and friendly! Overall, I really enjoyed my stay here and will definitely be back!

One recommendation would be to provide more options for fresh pastry in the morning (I found the pastry to be very dry, something that could definitely be approved on as the island has some really good pastry!)

I have always loved the look of this hotel and finally this was my first stay and I was not disappointed. Our room was fabulous, it was spacious and very comfortable looking out over the courtyard it also had a great bathroom. Good choice of options from the buffet breakfast.

There was nothing that I did not like about this hotel but would just like to mention that if you do have mobility issues then possibly the steps down to the breakfast room/buffet (self service) may cause a problem for some? I think the staff would be more than happy to help you though so don't let it stop you booking

I first saw Hotel Born on my social media and loved the look of it so much, that I booked our trip around it. We were not disappointed - what a beautiful hotel. It's tucked away up a little car width lane but is literally steps away from the central hub. The shops, cafes and atmosphere were on our doorstep. The staff were extremely helpful and polite. The front desk helped out with maps, directions and a taxi to the airport (20 Euro). The breakfast - buffet and various menu items cooked to order, was fantastic. The lady who served us each morning was lovely and helped with our questions as one of our party is Celiac. The hotel staff were knowledgeable and supportive of this at breakfast and in the restaurant. This hotel is immaculately clean, calm, peaceful but amazingly close to everything you might need. We walked miles exploring the sites and just generally getting to know Palma.

I have absolutely nothing bad to say about Hotel Born and that is a very rare scenario. There is nothing more they could have done to have improved our stay.
