A comfortable, clean hotel in a good location within a 15-minute walk of the train station, the cathedral, the Museum of the Galician people, and lots of restaurants. The nice woman at the front desk spoke English well. The elevator was very welcome with heavy bags. The water pressure and hot water in the shower were wonderful. Lots of outlets in our room (number 202B). We had a nice view from our window of terra cotta roofs and distant green hills.

The bed was too soft for our taste and the pillows were quite flat. It would be convenient if the hotel served breakfast. But there is a good cafe a few doors down.

I had a fantastic stay at Alda Avenida. The hotel's location is superb, offering easy access to local attractions and cathedral. I liked everything.

I was impressed with this hotel given its price point. My room was very large, hardwood floors and clean. It was a little loud as it was on the first floor facing the street. It had a full size shower/tub, not some tiny one you can barely turn around in. It had character as several of the walls were the rough, large stone blocks you see on the outside of buildings all around Santiago de Compostela. Breakfast was a decent spread of the standard items ... bread/rolls, sliced meats/cheeses, yogurts, cereal, pastries, fruit, coffee, hot chocolate. The hotel is an easy walk from the train/bus stations and is right on the edge of the old town ... a perfect location.

I don't have any major complaints. As with most hotels, more vegan options for breakfast would be great.

This is a very centrally located hotel, only 5 minutes from the cathedral and all major attractions in Santiago de Compostela. In spite of its one star, it is an exceptionally clean and hospitable hotel, with air conditioning, a good shower , fairly comfortable beds and very friendly staff

It's noisy if the window is open and the hotel itself can also be noisy early in the morning. Having said this, everyone respects the need for silence after 23h. We had no issues with this.

I booked a room at Alda Avenida after walking away from a terrible accommodation down the road. (I took my bag and swallowed the $ loss.) Fortunately, Alda Avenida had availability and a great price point. The room was large yet cozy and charming, with an exposed stone wall. Great view from windows. Huge bathroom. Comfy bed. Clean. All the good stuff.

The light in the stairwell took a bit to come on so I was walking the stairs in darkness. The light in the entry area of the room could have been brighter. Be aware that the attendant is remote (off-site) at certain times of the day.

What did I like is… they clean the room everyday from day 2 to 6. I think that is the standard they keeping. Very close to the main attraction like the Santiago Cathedral and restaurant everywhere nearby.

Well because the flooring was wood. Steps from above you can hear . Looks like kids back and forth but not bad at all

I loved this hotel. The view from our window was serene and made me feel like I was in a movie. The size of the room was appropriate for the four of us. Two twin beds and one queen fit us all comfortably. The breakfast was delicious and the staff were very friendly and helpful.

I thought breakfast was included so that’s my bad. I needed to access a fridge but had to go thru the staff. A bit inconvenient for all. The elevator stops on 2nd floor every trip up or down, slowing down the whole process.

Perfect location 7 minutes walking to the Cathedral and close to train station and automatic laundry service. The room was clean, cosy and quite with very comfortable beds. The bathroom and shower were big enough. Breakfast was well provided with different food and beverages. We had an hairdryer upon request. Also massage room service was possibile. Staff was very polite and helpful when we asked to call a taxi to the airport.

Unfortunately wifi connection in the room was not working.

Great location near Santiago old town, everything within walking distance. On main road but our room was very quiet. Large room, fairly basic looking but very clean and comfy, nice views over countryside. Friendly staff. Good breakfast. Had a nice evening meal at Codex, cafe Derby does a grand beer. Airport bus goes past hotel.

Was a bit more expensive than most hotels (late booking, most other places were full) but turned out to be worth it. If you are on a tight budget there are plenty of hostels around.
