This hotel is less than 500m from the Temple of the Tooth, so you can walk out of the door and be in the middle of town. The staff were very welcoming, the room was fine. We needed to leave early and they organised a packed breakfast.

The Japanese food was ok, I've recently been lucky enough to go to Japan and this was a Sri Lankan interpretation. There is no alcohol in the hotel , but he Royal Hotel is just around the corner.

It is a beautiful hotel with a wonderful design in the City Centre. The food was very good and tasty. Also the staff were very kind and welcoming.

The bed looked comfortable. However, I had to sleep on an extra bed which was a converted couch. It was really uncomfortable and impossible to sleep on it.

We loved the location of the hotel next to Sri Dalada Maligawa (Temple of the Sacred Tooth) and the museums and temples located inside this same location. We went to a 5:30 AM. puja one morning and it literally took us five minutes to access the gate. The location is also adjacent to the lake, which has a lovely walk around it, and to an indoor mall that has a very good food court. The hotel is comfortable, and the staff are professional, friendly and helpful. It was a very comfortable place for us to spend several nights while we explored the city. The breakfasts are fabulous, so many items to choose from along with freshly cooked to order eggs and hoppers. We would absolutely stay here again when we visit next.

We had a wonderful stay at The Radh Hotel in Kandy! The rooms were incredibly spacious, spotless, and well-maintained, making for a very comfortable stay. The hotel itself is beautifully kept and perfectly located right in the center of Kandy an ideal base for exploring the city. A special thanks to Uthpala for the warm hospitality and excellent service, and to the rest of the staff for their outstanding hospitality. Everyone went above and beyond to make our stay memorable. The breakfast was delicious, and the food in the evening was just as impressive. We truly enjoyed every aspect of our stay and can highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Kandy and its surroundings.

This was probably the best designed hotel room I have ever stayed in. Bedside switches for all lighting modes all clearly labled. Spacious room and bathroom. Good water pressure. Instant hot water. Ample vanity bench space. Comfortable bed. Air con controls beside the bed. Very comfortable chairs. (2 chairs, why do so many hotel rooms have only one???). Refrigerator that actually kept stuff cold. This room would have gotten 10, but for one minor problem. A curious sri lankan design flaw is common to a lot of rooms we stayed in. A 25 mm step at the bathroom door threshold, making a trip hazard resulting in several stubbed toes. The staff were great. The breakfast was good. The location was great. 😀

Great service from friendly staff. Property is in excellent condition and well maintained. Comfortably firm bed. It's very close to the lake and temple, and not far from the train station. They quickly accommodated us when we asked to change rooms away from the street/city view. So our room was very quiet.

When there is a religious festival occurring, they should alert all guests before arriving. They should not assume foreigners know the local calendar and what actually occurs in front of their hotel. It was quite a surprise what was happening while we were there. The city struggles in these situations, and no transportation could reach the hotel.

The RADH provided an excellent personal service during our stay. One of the managers, Dhanush, was a stand out. We needed to find a good location for a fine dining Sri Lankan dinner for some guests we were entertaining. There were few options nearby for this, so Dhanush organised a private dining room at the hotel and suggested a menu of local dishes for the dinner. An attentive dedicated waiter was also provided. The menu and the food were wonderful. The chefs, wait staff and Dhanush did an excellent job that evening; everyone was very impressed.

We were given a room that would be normally provided to handicapped guests, probably because of how full the hotel was at the time. As a special needs room, the shower did not have any curtains, which made having a shower a less pleasant experience.

The hotel is centrally located & is within easy walking distance to the temple & lake as well as the local market. An excellent & plentiful breakfast with a number of options is there to greet you each morning & the restaurant manager manages it well. As for the hotel staff, in general we found them without exception, helpful, friendly & professional. A special mention for the manager, Danush, a commendable young man who should go a long way in hotel management.

The restaurant feels more like a cafe than a restaurant & does not serve alcohol. However, the Queens Hotel, which is around 100 metres away, has a good old fashioned colonial bar but the Queens hotel looks as though it needs some significant investment.

Incredible location very close to the Temple of the Tooth so easy to visit before the crowds descend. Loved that there was a free minibar stocked with chocolate, soft drinks and flavoured milk cartons, and they even brought extra chocolates round in the evening! Very luxurious feel to the property and quiet despite central location. We got a good booking deal so was excellent value.

Our room was between two families and the children were running back and forth and slamming the doors during the day.. was fine at night but would have preferred not to have been right next to them.

The room was very clean and comfortable - the bed especially was extremely comfortable and we had the best nights sleep. We were also upgraded for a room with a balcony which was lovely. The hotel itself is quite small and compact with clean and simple interior. The food was a highlight for us - the breakfast offered was the best we had during our stay in Sri Lanka and the choice for lunch / dinner was varied. We ended up trying the sushi (as this is the hotel speciality) and it was incredible! I would recommend if looking for a change of cuisine during your stay. The staff were also very friendly and attentive. I had a massage and it was the best one of the whole trip - highly recommend booking a massage with the therapist if staying.

The hotel doesn’t have a pool or rooftop bar / outdoor space, therefore you need to go elsewhere if wanting to relax outside. Due to the proximity to the Temple of the Tooth, just be aware that no alcohol is served in the hotel (this wasn’t a problem for us as there are many other options nearby).
