This hotel is less than 500m from the Temple of the Tooth, so you can walk out of the door and be in the middle of town. The staff were very welcoming, the room was fine. We needed to leave early and they organised a packed breakfast.

The Japanese food was ok, I've recently been lucky enough to go to Japan and this was a Sri Lankan interpretation. There is no alcohol in the hotel , but he Royal Hotel is just around the corner.

It is a beautiful hotel with a wonderful design in the City Centre. The food was very good and tasty. Also the staff were very kind and welcoming.

The bed looked comfortable. However, I had to sleep on an extra bed which was a converted couch. It was really uncomfortable and impossible to sleep on it.

We loved the location of the hotel next to Sri Dalada Maligawa (Temple of the Sacred Tooth) and the museums and temples located inside this same location. We went to a 5:30 AM. puja one morning and it literally took us five minutes to access the gate. The location is also adjacent to the lake, which has a lovely walk around it, and to an indoor mall that has a very good food court. The hotel is comfortable, and the staff are professional, friendly and helpful. It was a very comfortable place for us to spend several nights while we explored the city. The breakfasts are fabulous, so many items to choose from along with freshly cooked to order eggs and hoppers. We would absolutely stay here again when we visit next.

We had a wonderful stay at The Radh Hotel in Kandy! The rooms were incredibly spacious, spotless, and well-maintained, making for a very comfortable stay. The hotel itself is beautifully kept and perfectly located right in the center of Kandy an ideal base for exploring the city. A special thanks to Uthpala for the warm hospitality and excellent service, and to the rest of the staff for their outstanding hospitality. Everyone went above and beyond to make our stay memorable. The breakfast was delicious, and the food in the evening was just as impressive. We truly enjoyed every aspect of our stay and can highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Kandy and its surroundings.

A beautifully designed and sized hotel to offer the right kind of service. We cannot fault it. All the staff were polite and helpful. Breakfast though not as large as those in the larger hotels had a very good selection. Perfect location to visit the Sacred Tooth Temple and a very short walk to the bustling restaurant and bar area.

Kandy traffic. It is hard to travel in and out of Kandy as the traffic congestion we felt was worse than in Colombo. Plan your day trips carefully as a lot of time can be wasted travelling through the Kandy congested streets to get to your next sight seeing area.

We had a perfect 1 night stay at The Radh. We booked an Executive King Room which has the little balcony looking out over the road at the front of the hotel. The windows/door are double glazed, so we did not hear any noise from the road outside. Room was spacious and very comfortable with lots of power points in useful places. Bathroom was lovely. We ate dinner at the hotel's Cafe Nihobashi. They have a very extensive menu covering many South East Asian cuisines. The food was very nice. Spice level was right for us (we like spicy). They do not serve alcohol. Our room rate included breakfast. Breakfast was also very nice, with a good selection of foods, and options for a hot breakfast cooked to order. Coffee was good. Note: in Sri Lanka it is common practice for the menu items to be priced exclusive of service charge or government tax, so the final bill is higher as these are then added at in at the end. LOCATION LOCATION LOCATION The Radh is very centrally located. A 2 minute walk to the end of the street and you can enter the grounds of the Temple of the Sacred Tooth. Likewise, a 5 minute walk has you at the lake front. This was perfect for us, as we were in Kandy for only 1 night, and it made everything so easy and accessible. There are also lots of cafes and restaurants very close if you chose to eat elsewhere. Location was the main reason for our choice of The Radh. They also greeted our driver nicely and offered him a welcome drink. We really appreciated this. If we return to Kandy for another visit we would definitely stay here again.

The only thing that was slightly odd is that on check out they insisted that we didn't leave until they "checked our room". We were on a tight schedule and this created a little bit of tension on check out.

Breakfast buffet is smaller than the other hotels in the area. Amenities hours such as the gym can be 24 hours.

This was probably the best designed hotel room I have ever stayed in. Bedside switches for all lighting modes all clearly labled. Spacious room and bathroom. Good water pressure. Instant hot water. Ample vanity bench space. Comfortable bed. Air con controls beside the bed. Very comfortable chairs. (2 chairs, why do so many hotel rooms have only one???). Refrigerator that actually kept stuff cold. This room would have gotten 10, but for one minor problem. A curious sri lankan design flaw is common to a lot of rooms we stayed in. A 25 mm step at the bathroom door threshold, making a trip hazard resulting in several stubbed toes. The staff were great. The breakfast was good. The location was great. 😀

This hotel was perfect for our short stay in Kandy. Kandy is hectic but this was a piece of tranquility every time we stepped back inside, which due to how centrally located it is, we could do frequently throughout the day and night. It is right beside the temple of the sacred tooth and surround restaurants and shops. We enjoyed a lovely dinner at the hotel, and breakfast before we caught our train to Ella, the most delicious egg hoppers made to order. Staff were incredibly welcoming and helpful. Highly recommend. The bed and pillows were an actual dream to sleep on, I have never fallen asleep so easily.

Great service from friendly staff. Property is in excellent condition and well maintained. Comfortably firm bed. It's very close to the lake and temple, and not far from the train station. They quickly accommodated us when we asked to change rooms away from the street/city view. So our room was very quiet.

When there is a religious festival occurring, they should alert all guests before arriving. They should not assume foreigners know the local calendar and what actually occurs in front of their hotel. It was quite a surprise what was happening while we were there. The city struggles in these situations, and no transportation could reach the hotel.
