Absolutely amazing neighbourhood, full of museums (definitely you must visit VASSA museum), perfect transportation possibilities (especially ferries).

We had a really lovely stay, the room was very comfortable and clean. The staff were lovely and very helpful. Breakfast was great! The location was perfect for the museums and it was also really easy to get to other parts of Stockholm via the ferry. Despite being very close to the fun fair our room was really quiet and we couldn’t hear anything from outside or other rooms. Would highly recommend.

The location is perfect. Situated in the heart of Djurgården, the hotel is right beside the main tourist attractions, reachable by a short walk or multiple modes of public transport. The city centre is also reachable by bus, tram or boat, which also run very frequently. The breakfast each morning was delicious, with a variety and plenty of choice. Food was always fresh and the coffee hot. Despite it's busy location, the hotel was always quiet and peaceful, particularly at night. Staff were very friendly and helpful. The rooms and facilities were spotless.

Some staff members could be a little more accommodating/gentle with those who have additional needs. Bastu/sauna facility a little disappointing - small and very basic. A suggest would be to not allow young children in after a certain time.

Location was fab - near excellent transport links like ferry, bus, tram so was super easy to get everywhere. Plus loads of museums on Djurgarten - we went to the ABBA museum, Vasa museum and Skansen on this island. Receptionists were all great and helped with booking restaurants- especially Zoe who was outstanding and went above and beyond. Decor in the main areas was gorgeous. Decent variety of food at breakfast. Sauna was quiet. Corner room for junior suite had great views.

I wish I’d have known the junior suite with a separate sofa bed in ‘separate room’ wasn’t actually a separate room but just separated with a curtain- think that wasn’t made clear. It’s the same room really! Room wasn’t set up for 3 people but they quickly resolved that when I told them and apologised. Would’ve liked to have food outside - especially trying the famous Hassenbach potatoes- whilst we were sat having a wine in the sun. Not sure why they don’t allow food outside when it’s nice weather. Think that’s a shame and they’re missing a trick there. We weren’t given instructions or card re the sauna initially and wasted time waiting for it to warm up. Evidently you need to tell reception to switch it on and then wait 45-60 mins. Was lovely eventually and quiet!

Location is nice for those with kids - near Skansen, grona lund. The outdoor area is really well taken care of, and beautiful.

Small rooms, if you have more than 2 bags it’s impossible to open then and still circulate in the room até the same time. Hotel is quite old, and although parts of it have been renovated (bathrooms, for example) it has a smell that’s quite characteristic of old places and very outdated interior design, curtains, carpets, and so on. The restaurant could have more options and better service (also because there are very limited choices of restaurant nearby). The room is clean, however, mine was infested with ants - all over really.

Hotel Hasselbacken is a gorgeous, historical property. We enjoyed our stay immensely. It is on an island and near museums like the Vasa Museum, the Abba Museum, the Skansen, and Grona Lund Amusement Park. The area is beautiful and there is a tram stop, buses and even a Hop On Hop Off bus and boat stop very close to the hotel. There are some eating options nearby, which were closed in the evenings so we ate in town the first few days, and late at night caught a taxi back. We decided to have a few drinks in the hotel and try their famous hasselback potatoes. Wow, they were beautifully presented and tasty. Our main surprise though were the Swedish meatballs - with mashed potato, lingonberries and pickled cucumber. These were spectacular! In fact, they were so good that we dined there again the next evening and enjoyed them equally the second night. Breakfast was amazing too - yummy pancakes! Great customer service, in particular Lillian on reception was so lovely and helpful, she gave us lots of suggestions and directions. Everyone's English was great too. Stockholm was one of the most beautiful cities we have ever been and we loved walking about. We made the location of the hotel work using a 72 hour Hop On Hop Off bus/boat ticket, walking and the occasional taxi.

Excellent location in between Skansen and Gröna Lund, we took an hour long morning walk around beautiful Djurgården everyday before having breakfast which was great but could be better with minor tweaks. Very friendly and helpful staff and comfortable beds. This is where the Hasselback potato was invented and its something almost every guest orders in the restaurant as a side.

The fitness center had one machine which had broken handles, and some dumbbells' with some missing. and an old worn-out yoga mat that's about it. Housekeeping could make more effort cleaning the wooden floors in the rooms which was quite dirty.

Superb location, perfect for using hop on bus and ferries. Short walk to Vasa Museum and Abba Museum across the road. Historic building, free use of bikes, and the sauna and plunge pool were the perfect way to end the nights. The reception staff were attentive and helpful with travel and tourist tips Resteraunt was great, superb staff and cappuccinos and lattes included in the amazing breakfast. No meal disappointed Definitely recommend and will be back

Beng picky as everything was great... I had a bath in my room but the hotel didn't have any bath salts or bubble bath.

The breakfast was phenomenal! Such a huge buffet with a magnificent variety and assortment of foods. There was plenty of gluten free options for my daughter with celiac's disease to choose from, so we were all happy! The location was good, but because it was in mid-April, and off-season, it felt a bit removed from everything. We still liked the location, as it was quiet and beautiful, unfortunately we didn't have the best weather, as it rained a lot while we were there, so we couldn't enjoy the outdoor parks near the hotel. Enjoyed the sauna and plunge pool!

The hotel was dated, and could really use a facelift on the inside. It felt like nothing had been ever updated since the late 1970s. However, because the original decor was of high quality, it was still nice enough.

Location, friendly staff, comfortable bed, steam sauna, opposite ABBA The Museum. Great restaurant too.
