This was my 4th stay and it was great. The property was amazing as always. The breakfast is superb. Our room was very comfortable and had a nice view. It’s just such a lovely, serene spot! I appreciated them letting us know about bus changes ahead of our stay. Also gave us a really lovely little welcome treat.

This is one of my favorite places, but I found a few things lacking this time. I would’ve loved a carafe for water in the room I could fill up - it was hard to get enough water in the room. The restaurant is delicious but would have loved even one more option for when traveling with a child. These are small things though, we loved our stay

We has a great stay at this quiet and peaceful location right in the centre of the city - very easy to travel around from by ferry, bus, or on foot. Staff were all very warm and welcoming, always available and incredibly helpful when needed. Breakfast was excellent with plenty of choice including gluten free options, and we enjoyed the restaurant in the evening as well when arriving late. Our room was modern, warm, and comfortable, with a nice shower. It was very nice being so close to so many of the museums we wanted to see, including the modern art museum next door.

Nothing! But useful to know that the ferry/bus doesn't run late into the evening at least while we were there in February so needed to either walk or get a taxi back past 8pm or so. Not a problem for us though.

Hotel Skeppsholmen is one of those truly unique properties you can’t believe you found when searching for a hotel. Comprising two historic buildings these are truly unique and tastefully converted. We loved the ancient stone staircases and imagining who had used these in former centuries, but also the use of design features and installations make the hotel a very special place. Skeppsholmen island is easily walkable from the main tourist areas, there are bikes to hire, or the regular No 65 bus is another option plus a ferry (although the jetty was being refurbished whilst we were visiting). The main sound in the early mornings are the birds; it is so quiet and peaceful. A true oasis away from the city bustle, but very convenient. Did I mention the breakfasts and dinner? Superb!

We had arrived by train in the early evening. Unfortunately, the No 65 bus, although regular during the day, stopped about an hour before we needed it (normally it would only take 10 minutes from the station to the island). The No 67 bus stops near to the island but if you’re trailing luggage, this wouldn’t be easy. Get the hotel to provide a recommendation for a taxi. This got us off to a bad start but the tranquility of the island and waking up in such a beautiful place helped!

Overall a comfortable and pleasant hotel in a historical building on a quiet and conveniently located island near the city center and the old town and across from another island containing major museums, all easily accessible by walking, ferries or buses. Front desk personnel very pleasant and helpful. Good restaurant on premises, included nice breakfast with excellent coffee. Only minor criticisms were odd style of bathroom sink, artistically interesting but extremely non-functional, and unsupportive pillows. Room otherwise quite adequate with pretty view over bay.

Breakfast was a little chaotic when busy due to the narrowness of the room, but that is a small issue. The staff were very friendly and helpful, the food very nice and plentiful and the overall ambience was very tranquil and charming. Our room was very nice, spacious and comfortable with a very nice shower. The location is great with a regular ferry service to Djursgaard island with the many museums and attractions it has to offer, the ferry also goes directly to the Old Town which is very charming with lots of shops and restaurants. It is also possible to walk into Old Town easily in around 20 minutes.

The only thing that was not to our taste was that we ate dinner in the restaurant 1 night and both of our dishes were over salted. We may have just been unlucky on that evening as breakfast was never like that.

The staff were very friendly and helpful. They were happy to advise us on where to go and book venues for us. The hotel was very clean and well furnished. The best thing about it was its location, at the very heart of the city but set within tree-planted avenues that kept it a little separate from the busier areas. We could easily reach most key attractions by walking, taking the ferry or using the metro.

Breakfast was plentiful, healthy, relaxed and had a wide variety of well presented dishes, breads, pastries etc Every member of staff was friendly, helpful and always ready to help with questions eetc Location was perfect for exploring the city - quiet and picturesque, yet only a 10-15 minute walk to the central building interesting to tourists such as the National museum and Royal Palace) Room was airy with lovely view of the sea. Linen was soft as soft!

It was all perfect - exactly what I hoped for

Amazing place on a green island in the middle of everything, between museums, the royal palace and the amusement park. Hotel in a reconstructed historical building with a high standard, friendly service and a unique atmosphere. The windows with original frames are held open using a casement stay, however, the air conditioning is easy to control, the breakfast and food in the restaurant are of high quality.

Only the designer knows why there is water splashing on the designer ceramic stone in the bathroom sink, why the overhead shower has to run in order to start the hand shower, and why there is no bidet. The restaurant lacks draft beer. And watch out for the last ferry, the Skeppsholmen stop is on the sign and the crew might miss it on the way from Gröna Lund. But it can't spoil your mood.

Great location, in the center, quiet and surrounded by nature, nice views. Nice food, good wine, excellent breakfast. Very helpful and friendly staff at the restaurant. Big room and comfortable bedding. Easy access with public transport or taxi. Nice walks around

Reception is small and the staff was not very welcoming. The room was big, a little bare - i thought that for the price of about 450 euro per night for 1 person, rooms could be a little more cosy. Not enough light in the bathroom.

Fabulous location. Right by ferry pick up to old town, peaceful as no other hotels near by. The food was excellent when we had dinner one evening. The breakfast was amazing - everything anybody could want and very fresh and hot. The staff were lovely, really friendly, helpful and nothing was too much trouble.

There was nothing we didn’t like but it would be nice to have more comfortable and relaxing seating in the lounge area of the dining area as the seats were not very comfortable.
