Good clean rooms. Friendly and helpful staff. The location is excellent as it is close to both MRT train station and also the main Taipei train station for long distance and rapid trains to get to various parts of Taiwan. For a hostel, this could be considered a top-tier level accommodation as each room had own toilet and shower. The shared kitchen is well-equipped and there is tea and coffee available as well as a few snacks to enjoy for free. There is filtered water supply for drinking water so we could refill our water bottles before going out for the day.

The elevator lift is tiny and very slow. Going up to 7th floor took 2 minutes! The lift only operates from second floor so you have to carry your luggage up from the first floor to access the elevator. You can't flush toilet paper down the toilet and had to dispose of it in a bin in the toilet but I heard this was quite common in some cities in Taiwan including Taipei.

Our recent stay at Taipei Sunny Hostel was absolutely wonderful, and we highly recommend it to anyone visiting Taipei. The location is unbeatable, making it the perfect base for exploring the city. One of the best things about this hostel is its incredible convenience. It's just a short walk to the MRT station, providing easy access to all of Taipei's major attractions. We also found a great selection of supermarkets, restaurants, and charming coffee shops right on our doorstep, which made grabbing a quick bite or supplies a breeze. A huge bonus for us was the fantastic 2/28 Peace Memorial Park located directly across the street. Our kids had a blast at the playground, and we were all thrilled to discover the National Taiwan Museum's Land Bank Exhibition Hall nearby, which features an impressive dinosaur exhibit. It was the perfect way to spend an afternoon as a family. The service at Taipei Sunny Hostel was top-notch. The staff was friendly, helpful, and always welcoming. We especially enjoyed the cozy and inviting lobby area. It was a great place to relax after a day of sightseeing, with complimentary water, coffee, tea, and snacks always available. They even provide umbrellas for guests to use, which was a thoughtful touch. Of course, the free Wi-Fi throughout the hostel was a much-appreciated amenity. Our room was another highlight of our stay. We had a fantastic view overlooking the park, which was a lovely sight to wake up to each morning. The double bunk bed was a great space-saving feature and comfortable for our family. The private bathroom was clean and had a good, refreshing shower.

It's still a hostel, and can use a bit of refreshing, but again, we had an excellent stay.

We love Jessie and the team. All helpful and friendly! The rooms are well laid out and functions well with required amenities like charging ports and bunk lights. The free snacks got raided by the kids daily!!!

We were a family of 4 and had a room with 2 bunk beds without a window due to other reservation. So the room was extremely tight for the family. The bathroom was even tighter with the shower sharing the same space as the toilet. The kids loved it though and should we return we would get a larger room to properly accommodate the fam. The price was right for the space though.

The location of the hostel was very beneficial was us. The area provided many good sources of food and drinks. The hostel had a map of the area as well, with recommendations on food and beverages. The hostel itself had all the necessities we needed as well. The room itself is small, but it had everything a room needed (a bed and a bathroom). There’s a kitchen in the common area, where free snacks were also provided. The staff were very friendly and helpful too. The laundry room in the common area was also very beneficial for us.

An elevator is only available from the second floor and up. This causes a struggle when having to carry baggage up the stairs to get to the second floor. The stairway is also narrow, making it hard to carry up baggage.

Great hostel with fantastic staff always ready to help and extremely professional. The hostel is very nice, super well organized so that it remains clean and functional all the time The room without windows is extremely small so a bit tricky for 4 but clean. Good for 1 or 2 nights. The room with the windows is way bigger and nicer and more convenient for more than 2 nights in the city. A bit noisy at night as insulation is not fantastic but this is everywhere the same in taiwan

Clean room with comfortable beds and a nice hot shower. The staff was super accommodating and friendly, happy to give recommendations and help out with logistics. The common area has snacks and drinks and a washing machine (have to pay a small cost). The hostel is close to two different MTR lines and there's lots of nice restaurants nearby. Don't miss the hostel recommended Yong He soy milk on the corner for breakfast (rice egg roll was yum!) and Liu Shandong beef noodles for lunch!

The 4 person room with no window is exactly what it says, it can feel a little cramped due to this.

The room was clean, spacious and airconditioned. We had taken heed of reviews and booked a 6 bed room for 3 of us as this had a window (I believe others don't). The staff were excellent and helpful, we arrived before official check in but they were able to complete paperwork/payment and stash our suitcases to be taken to the room when ready so that we could go off and find some breakfast. Likewise we were splitting our visit over a week so were enabled to leave some excess baggage at the hostel during the week, which was then placed in our room for our return. For our return visit we arrived outside of office hours and their communication about accessing building, keys and room were excellent. The staff also arranged for a early morning transfer for our onward flight, connecting us with driver and ensuring we had translated details of journey/timings. The added bonuses were the kitchen facilities, the comfort of the bed/mattress, great showers, the lack of noise from either neighbouring rooms or outside, lights and sockets for each bunk and the value for money.

Our only 'complaint' was that the rungs on the ladder to the top bunk were tough on the feet!

This was the third part of our stay after a brief visit to Japan. The extra luggage we left behind was again in our new rooms when we arrived back. We had a window room this time which could accommodate 6 people and was more spacious. This room was very nice and more comfortable. You could see Taipei 101 tower in the distance as well as the neighbouring park. Nice to be able to enjoy some view with greenery instead of the usual concrete jungle of Taipei city. Chiang Kai-Shek memorial hall is also visible and within 15 minutes walking distance. I recommend booking a room with a window rather than the windowless rooms if you can as it feels much nicer.

In a wonderful location, right across from the 228 memorial park, steps away from the metro and walking distance to CKS hall. Friendly and helpful staff, free coffee/tea/snacks offered throughout the day/evening. Loads of great restaurants, museums and spas nearby. Easy walk to Ximending.

Beds were just a little too firm for my liking but otherwise, a very enjoyable stay.

staffs are friendly and willing to help, they know all of the informations that I asked. The location is also great, walking distance to many train station including Taipei main station, tourist attractions, park, museums, Ximending, night market, at least 6 Michelin guide restaurants nearby, all good food around this hotel. I left my baggages at hotel, and the cute lady staff offered me to keep it util my late night trip, despite the hotel front desk close at 5 PM.
