The location was fantastic and the super helpful staff. Candace in reception was fabulous and went above and beyond to find extra blankets for us on a very busy weekend. The restaurant staff were friendly and attentive and we had a delicious meal on Friday night.

The heater in our room didn't work, which made for a chilly night. This was disappointing as we paid ALOT for this room for one night. The charge points didn't work either. Breakfast was meant to be an inclusion, which is why I booked it. However, when we checked out, we were told it was extra. $42 each was expensive for a mediocre breakfast.

The location is brilliant, stones throw from the beach, cafes, restaurants, park and easy, walk along coast road to lighthouses, WIN stadium etc. Breakfast was excellent. There is a very ambient bar area, gym and a couple of shops. Rooms were spacious, very clean and we wanted to take the mattress home with us it was so comfy! Staff are friendly and very helpful. Third stay at this hotel and will return!

Bathrobe and slippers would have been a nice touch considering the quality of the hotel. Unfortunately noise from “hooning” cars and motorbikes kept us awake on the Saturday night, not much the hotel can do about it though. Parking for guests too expensive.

This was our second stay at the Novatel Northbeach. April, the manager, went above and beyond to guarantee we had the perfect stay. The hotel is wonderful with live music on the weekend in the hotel bar. The rooms are so clean and comfortable, and of course, that view of the beach, is just spectacular. I absolutely loved the cocktaoos that visited us on our balcony. It doesnt get any more Australian! This time, I accidentally left a couple of items in the room, which the hotel staff set aside for me to collect later. This really impressed me. I cant wait for our next stay, we will definitely be back soon.

Superb room, so close to the beach and Australia Day festivities. Unfortunately city view turned out to be roof view but wasn't too bad. Pool was nice, not really heated but kids enjoyed. Lovely bar area and setting.

Everything was going fine until we faced the breakfast at Palisade. The day after Australia Day when occupancy was full it seemed they had no idea how to handle the crowd. They took a booking for a table of 15 (that never rocked up) and blocked out a lot of seats for people who wanted to eat. To top it all off, I waited patiently for a table to be cleaned and after the rest of the lovely staff cleaned it one stupid staff came and slammed a reserved sign to kick me off this table just because others sat on another reserved table. Why in the world are they taking bookings during a peak breakfast buffet period, let alone not knowing how to manage bookings. Highly embarrassing for what was an ideally nice long weekend.

We got a room with a magical ocean view. It was a surprise as we booked a City view. The room was large with two separate double beds. We had a very good night sleep 😴 The location is beautiful. Morning beach walks at the Esplanade...my top best place in the world. Love the room service! Love the bar downstairs!

I didn't like a check-in app experience then a regular check-in which wasn't any faster than usual. The check-in app called me Mr and asked for my nationality. It was weird. Felt like a shady info collection for marketing rather than caring for our experience.

The location is great, parking on site is very handy, rooms are well appointed

We love the property overall. Minor thing we noticed but didn’t bother us was the tv is a little dated without the options to link streaming services. The option of water to purchase from the mini bar would be handy although we frequented the shop on the lobby to purchase. The glass on the inside of the windows in our room had many hand prints and marks on them, this is easily missed and again a minor note as all other areas of the room appeared clean.

We were upgraded to the panoramic suite which was nice. The room service was really yummy and massive serves. Would only need entree serves in the future. Amazing bar.

There was a business convention happening when we arrived. The wait for the elevator was about half an hour due to the volume of people arriving at the same time and the elevator’s are tiny for such a large hotel. We went to the bar instead of waiting. The cockatoo’s on the balcony were an issue so we couldn’t leave the doors open. Not a hotel issue but people need to be aware and not feed them.

I stayed in the panoramic suite for my wedding and it was absolutely perfect. The room was stunning, the views were even better and huge sliding doors opened up to make the space feel twice as big when the photographer came to join myself and the bridal party. I arranged food and bubbles for everyone which was also amazing!! Great selection and beautifully displayed. Thank you for making my stay so enjoyable

The room didn’t get cleaned after we’d left so it was a mess when my new husband and I arrived back after the wedding. In hindsight I realise I should have asked at reception to make sure

Very comfortable room, spacious

The service at breakfast was pretty bad. Had to ask for knives and forks and were told to go ask the guys at the counter cooking the breakfast. Asked the guys at the counter, and he asked how many and then handed me a couple of sets. It wasn't busy. The coffee machines were playing up but no one came to offer assistance. Had to ask for butter for the toast. For the price they charge you for breakfast you would expect at least 3 star service.
