Breakfast. too small space for breakfast at this hotel. Breakfast time you need to wait 20 minutes to find free table. It didn't help, that hotel offer to have breakfast earlier or later, guest want to have breakfast in their time, not hotel.

Good location (U underground just near hotel and one station to Alexanderplatz central point - used a lot daily for city explore, S underground 9 minutes walk - used mostly for airport), good and very helpful reception staff (Gustavo :) thank you for transportation advices), good breakfast, Good service - Important! We got our room earlier than standard check-in time and it helped us to be prepared for city explore earlier. Even though I wrote a few things I missed, I'm happy with my choice. Second time in Holiday Inn after London, trusting the hotel liability.

No refrigerator, no cupboard or shelves to place clothes (There was just some place for hanging. We left our stuff in suitcases.). Only one armchair (after long walking during the days all we really wanted is to fall on chair for some rest and we had to choose who will sit on armchair and who will sit on floor). The air-conditioning was not so strong and sometimes it felt like it is not working - room 622.

We were in the hotel for a whole week. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The room was basic but fair. Breakfast was satisfactory (indeed: more than basic). The location is VERY good: short walking distance to main attractions such alexanderplatz. In front of the hotel there is a U-BAN (metro) station. Short walking (600mts) distance from the Airport train station. Short walking distance (300mts) to a nice restaurants neighbourhood by the river Spree.

The room was basic but fair. It does not have a cupboard, but just a small space to hang some clothes. "Room cleaning service" was scheduled to occur every 2 days... we did not know about it, so it was disappointing.

Kudos for air-conditioning that worked well through the 38C heat wave. Outside was terrible, but inside was very comfortable, even through the night!

Only two elevators for a 7-floor hotel, and one was broken when I arrived on Sunday and remained broken through departure on Thursday, despite signs that a technician was coming. I got great exercise hiking up to the 5th floor a few times a day, but it was frustrating with the luggage. The location is central, but it is a long (cc. 10 minutes) walk along a big road with big buildings to get anywhere of interest. Might not have been a problem in better weather, as we visited Berlin during a tremendous heatwave.

The included breakfast is amazing and has a lot of options. Staff are very friendly and helpful. Location is terrific - very central, within walking difference to lots of Berlin sights and things to do, as well as close to transit.

Sound within the hotel seems to travel easily - could hear lots of door-slamming and movement from other rooms. Room cleaning is every 2 days (which is fine) but then items like toilet paper or room coffee/tea aren't replaced during cleaning so you have to ask for each item from the front desk - again, this was fine, just seemed a little odd.

It well situation in the city in a quiet but central area with public transportation close by.

The layout of the breakfast made it ineffective, the staff tried to make up for it. There should have been areas to dispose of the plates and food once used. We had to queue for breakfast. It is not necessary to clean the room everyday. We check in and stayed in bed a few hours before heading out again for the evening. When we came back the bedsheets had been changed. This is highly unnecessary and a waste of resources. We had to put the do not disturb sign to avoid this. In Copenhagen, we stayed in a hotel where they cleaned the room only upon request. This makes much more sense, especially since both stays were 3-4 days.

The room was very clean and comfortable. The Italian waiter who works on weekends at the café was exceptional. He was very friendly and professional, and he made us feel very welcomed. Also, the reception staff was great. The breakfast buffet had a variety of choices, and the food was fresh. As for the location, it is close to so many of the sites we wanted to visit and is just across the street from a Ubahn stop. Everything was perfect, except there was only one elevator working for our 3 days here, and it was frustrating having to wait so long, sometimes up to seven or eight minutes for an elevator to take us to the 6th floor. Hopefully, it will be fixed soon. I would definitely come back again if the elevator was working. It is a good value.

The location was perfect, right between two U-Bahn stations and 5 minutes from the S-Bahn station, 10-minute-ride from the central railway station. The room was spacious, yet there was no wardrobe – on the plus side, there was a kettle with tea and instant coffee. Everything was on point for this budget, which is also very reasonable for summertime Berlin. Highly recommend it for summer as the air conditioner worked perfectly!

The only inconvenience was a breakfast space too small for this number of guests. It was easy to find a spot for one person, but for more than that, it might be difficult.

Close to metro stations, a plus if you are with a child Clean and comfortable rooms

On the first day, there is a very bad sewage smell in the lobby (not in the rooms). After the first day, they managed to fix it. We stayed for 4 days and unfortunately one of the two elevators was broken. It caused long waits to reach our room/lobby. I can say there was adequate breakfast, but maybe they could add a couple of more choices for make it more harmonic. ( such as waffle/pancake maker…) +add the allergy/preference icons such as diary/peanuts/pork… each time you have to ask.

The rooms were incredibly quiet during the night, not a single sound came from other rooms, hallways or outside, even though there was a road right below them. Great location, you can easily walk to the main sights. Friendly staff. Breakfast was really good with a big table of vegan options too!

Some of the beds were a bit slant, it was difficult to find a sleeping position where it didn't feel as if you were going to fall...folding part of the blanket helped a bit. We found some candy wrappers under the bed so not sure how well the room was cleaned before our arrival.
