Lovely little hotel within walking distance of both the train station and the old town. Very close to numerous delightful restaurants. Staff very friendly and helpful. Rooms can be sizeable or smallish, kind of luck of the draw, but our room came with fans which were delightful and much appreciated. Also had a window A/C unit that fortunately we did not need. Breakfast was great, with both European and North American items in ample supply (and hopefully they plan to re-open the traditional Walliser Hof for lunch and dinner again some day). The little elevator was great after a long day for not having to trudge up numerous flights of stairs. Hospitality factor was very high, with complimentary ice cream and sparkling water in the lobby, as well as beer in the room fridge. Although a little pricey (but comparable for Zurich), I would definitely come back.

Stayed for 5 days. Everything was fabulous. . Rooms clean Soundproofing great ( some street noise in the weekend as expected in the middle of a city), 500m to train station, a street of restaurants/cafes 50 m away, 400m to supermarket. Breakfast was huge...could also have any way eggs also if wanted. Ice creams, fresh fruit, pastries, bottled water, coffee all free in the lobby. 24 hour desk Staff were so helpful and friendly ....one suitcase broke so they offered to dispose of it for us. AC was portable but we just opened the window anyway. Fan avaliable. Having a minibar/ fridge was great. Heard absolutely no noise from neighbouring rooms which is unusual in a hotel so great sound proofing.

Great location! Very easy to walk to train station, restaurants etc. The staff here is absolutely wonderful! We had numerous questions and each time the front desk staff went above and beyond to help us and always with a smile. The breakfast buffet included everything we could want including made to order delicious omelets. The staff here too made us feel welcome. Room was very clean and bed quite comfortable. The room is very well designed to make the most of the space. We had the Urban double with a king bed and stayed 6 nights.

As in most of Switzerland there is no air conditioning. There was a large fan in our room which we only needed a couple of times since weather was quite cool. We saw that the temperature was going up to high 80s later in week and I imagine our room would have been much less comfortable particularly when we had to close windows due to street noise. We know that this occurs throughout Europe so it is no reflection on the quality of the hotel.

This was my second time staying at this hotel, and once again, I had a very satisfying experience. It’s great to see that the hotel continues to maintain its high standards over the years. The staff were efficient, friendly, and welcoming. I really appreciated the complimentary fruits and ice cream offered upon arrival — a thoughtful touch, especially on a warm summer day. Although there’s no air-conditioning, a fan was provided in each room, which kept us comfortable throughout the night. Breakfast was very good, with a wide selection of fresh, high-quality options to start the day. While the location is a bit of a walk from the main train station (around 500 meters), there’s a convenient bus stop nearby — which made getting to the station with heavy luggage much easier. Overall, I was very satisfied with my stay and would highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Zurich. I’d be happy to stay here again.

We stayed at the Zurcherhof 3 separate times across a 3 week period, it was a perfect base for catching up with family & touring Switzerland & Austria during the time. The location was very central within Zurich, a 5 minute walk from the main station and 2 minutes to the nearest tram stop. The hotel breakfast was very good and there were many good restaurants of varied nationalities in the local vicinity. Although slightly small, our different rooms during the 3 weeks were all well appointed and had balconies.

Extremely friendly reception staff, was allowed to store our luggage after check out. Mini bar was complimentary too, which was a surprise! It included 2 beers, pepsi and still+sparkling water! Room size was also good, spacious for 2 pax. Location was also just a 8-10mins walk from train station and about 5 mins to the main town area with plenty of food options. The breakfast also included fresh eggs prepared in the preferred style, which was a great welcome in addition to the cold food.

Small matter - no amenities (toothbrush and slippers) provided. Hotel located next to restaurant/bar which was noisy on a Friday night. But everything else was good!

The staff was very welcoming, helpful, and accommodating. Our room had a wonderful view of old town Zürich (Predigerkirche, University, and Urania-Sternwarte); easy walk to tram stops (Central & Rudolf-Brun-Brücke) and railway station (Hauptbahnhof); many historic sites within walking distance. Comfortable beds. Breakfast was outstanding: egg dishes (such a omelettes) upon request, arriving hot and delicious; great selection of cheeses, meats, including smoked salmon, various breads, jams, yogurt, including great muesli; unlimited coffee and large variety of teas. Various juices, even Prosecco!

The elevator was older and small, but did the job. (Crossing the street at the Central tram-stop requires a bit of planning and care. But cars do stop for pedestrians in crosswalks.)

The room was spacious enought for three people, and the beds were good. Lovely breakfast with fresh bread, fruit and pastery. Good coffee and even Prosecco! You can order your eggs as you like, and there was a lot of cheese, ham, Salomon etc. Free minibar with coke, water and beer (you can change into wine). A lot of restaurants, bars and cafes in the area. Short walk from HB.

Very hot in the 3. floor, they have AC, but it makes a lot of noise. Carpets on the floor is a bit «dirty». Noise from outside (room against the street). The single bed makes a lot of noise.

We realized when we arrived that we did not have the right adaptors for the electrical outlets. I went downstairs to the front desk and was kindly offered adaptors so we could charge our phones and computers. In addition, the staff was extremely helpful and the breakfast was great. Best Western Zurich is a lovely hotel that's just a few minutes walk from the train station. It's perfectly placed on a quiet street in the middle of old town Zurich. Everything is a few minutes away, the river, the gorgeous lake, shopping and delicious restuarants. The rooms were clean and the bathroom had 24/7 hot water. Sara and Laura, the front desk staff, were very warm and helpful. Everything about this hotel was perfect for our short stay, and I highly recommend it! We'll be coming back.

The breakfast was ok. Making mimosas was a nice touch. The location is wonderful. Near everything and so easy to find and get to. The staff was very friendly. We appreciated the fans as they were needed during our stay in May.

The breakfast could have had a few more options to choose from. If you stay on multiple days, you will eat the same breakfast each morning. Big challenge for us was the bathroom sliding door. There is a huge gap between the slider and the wall. Absolutely no privacy. The sliding door itself is clear except for a small area which is frosted with clear designs in it. Depending on where you are in the room, you can see the person inside and there is a clear shower wall. I was traveling with my 2 adult sons. This was very uncomfortable for us. I had to drape bed fabric over part of the door and a bath towel over the shower wall to create a little privacy. So just be aware, no bathroom privacy.
