The check in was very efficient. The staff are very helpful. The rooms are a good size and everything was clean and well presented. The breakfast is included and is very good. The staff at breakfast are very helpful. It is very good value for money and overall is very good.

It may be a personal thing as I have hay fever. The room was "dusty" and I had very bad hay fever symptoms in the room. It was difficult to leave the window open for fresh air because of road noise from the motorway. We also had an emergency light in the room which stayed on all night and made it difficult to sleep.

Staff were wonderful; friendly and helpful. The breakfast was really good. The evening menu was limited but still good. The rooms clean and tidy. Well equipped and comfy. We had stayed here before, and doubtless will again.

The parking arrangements. You have to pay per day, in advance, after you've checked in (to get a discount code from reception). Not great ! Even less wonderful, on our second night there were no spaces free ! However, the staff said that having already paid we were allowed to park in the McDonald's portion of the car oark. We learned subsequently that there is also apparently space to the rear of the hotel which is not signed. Better signage definitely needed. Perhaps reconsider the arrangements too ?

We only stay the night to break up our journey, which we had done on the way to our holiday, so we booked it again on the way home as it was so nice and it started and finished our holiday of just nicely. The staff were all very nice and friendly, helpful and very approachable, they all made us feel so welcome. The beds are comfy and linen lovely. Aircon in rooms was good as it was hot when we stayed The food in the restaurant was very nice and good value, likewise the breakfast was lovely

There was nothing to complain about, only one small thing to say was that it was more expensive the second time we stayed, which was a bit disappointing,

I was very pleased with everything about my stay and especially with the help received with my dogs. We were attending Crufts so having somewhere pet friendly to stay for the four days made a huge difference to our break. The pack that we received for the dogs was very much appreciated. The staff were also very, very good and could not do enough for us, thank you to all involved with the running the hotel.

A very small observation, the lighting in the room wasn't particularly good, as with a lot of hotels these days mood lighting is used for the "big" light :-). Unfortunately the bulbs in the bedside and desk lamps were eco friendly and didn't work well and the one that did was "cool" lighting which isn't very pleasant when you are preparing to sleep. I am 100% sure that had I mentioned this during my stay at the hotel it would have been rectified immediately.

After a difficult start with my wife being very allergic to smoke and the room smelling very heavily of it. We asked for another room and it was given to us immediately and this room was excellent. It smelt very clean and fresh, the view was very good and the beds very comfortable. Breakfast which was included was excellent very good choices and quality very good. All the staff were extremely pleasant and helpful.

The price of the lunch and evening meal deals were very expensive. There is a McDonald's on site but we're not into fast foods. Fortunately we were able to walk (20 minutes) to a pub and get a decently priced proper meal

The staff are wonderful and friendly, it was all so nice, everything that you needed. Breakfast was great, we even woke up late and missed the cut off time but the staff still helped us have a breakfast before we left, couldn’t ask for more, loved it so much we are going to stay again on our way home to break up our long journey. 😀

Nothing, the cost of the taxi to the pub we chose, I think he took us the scenic route, thinking we were tourists, much quicker on the way back but still same price. It was great that their was a taxi phone in the reception, what more could you ask for 😀

Room was clean and had some space. bathroom was also clean and tidy plenty of towels. Even though I didn't drive while visiting there was plenty of parking. Bar staff and reception staff were very friendly and not shy for conversation. Bonus was a 24 hour McDonalds outside. Breakfast that was included was fantastic.

Breakfast was fantastic however food options for the evening time was ok but the chicken wings seemed like a reheat and half the table of 4 had to wait some time for the food to arrive. Also plug sockets in the room were quite far from the bed but the hotel have noted this to be fixed in a refurb. I would stay again but may eat elsewhere in the evening time.

Staff were very friendly & helpful. Good variety of food for breakfast, to suit most tastes/diet needs. Clean throughout. The general atmosphere was mainly relaxed & calm. The hotel is in a good location for visiting places of interest in the area.

Out of 5 double rooms, a couple of them had showers &/or taps that leaked a bit but that wasn't a huge problem. It took a while to figure out that the room entry keys had to be used for switching the lights on as there were no instructions anywhere.

The hotel is dog friendly which was great for us! The bar seating was right by the restaurant which made it easy for breakfast because the dog couldn’t go in to the restaurant. The beds were quite comfy. WiFi was excellent too!

The family rooms are tight on space. A family of 4 is a struggle when the sofa bed and double bed is out. Paying for parking isn’t fair when you’ve paid for the hotel anyway. Should be free. Would be nice to have a bath too. Family room - would think they would consider a bath for the children.

We've stayed at this hotel many times as it's convenient for visiting family and friends. It's always spotlessly clean, and the staff are welcoming and friendly. There is reasonable bar food and a comfortable lounge area. The breakfasts are usually good, but on this visit, I thought the quality was not good, eg, apples that looke unappetising,oranges that needed peeling and a berry medley, which can be a bit sour. The hot food was very good but The hotel has been fully booked for weeks, I heard, and I think there are staffing issues, and everyone seemed very stressed compared with a recent previous visit before the school holiday. Maybe Holiday Inn Express needs to pay for a few more staff or managers to smooth out these minor hiccups.

Apart from the parking charge we liked everything.
