A proper resort, lot of things to do. Nice for kids as well. I've been to this hotel already for 2 times earlier. It seems I keep coming back :) We liked to hang out at the pool, leave our computers and other valuables at the poolside tables while walking at the beach and taking a bite at a restaurant. I liked to use the great gym which is a short walk away. Time slows down there and you don't want to leave.

We had many problems with our door lock. Also we heard others saying the same thing. The doors didn't open with the keycard as they should. I've never had such problems with other hotels and with the same mechanism. Anyways, they are hopefully in a process to change the locks / electronics or whatever. Another downside is the remote location. It takes time to take rides out and back. The hotel also has a free bus service, which is a plus, but the travel takes a lot of time. Usually you'd have to book an extra 1 hour whatever you do, to make with the travel time. Few of the hotel restaurants were closed during our stay, so the options for late night dinner were quite limited.

Good tennis courts. Breakfast is great. In-room dining is excellent. Very good beach with view on concrete constructions. A lot of bars and restaurants. Nice beach. Beautiful territory with a lot of trees, birds and cats.

Very noisy conditioner in the room. Unfriendly staff on the reception of Palm Tree Resort on the day of checking-out - it was the second time in my life (I visited hundred of hotels around the World for 30 years) when the hotel refused to extend my staying for ONE HOUR only.

Was only there 12 hours so didn’t see much. Beautiful hotel grounds, Beds very comfortable

The rooms are a little bare of furniture. My ocean view room really had no view of the ocean. Signing a form regarding not bringing food into the hotel. Maybe have a better menu if outside food isn’t allowed.

This is not my first visit and for sure won't be the last , everything and everyone was super excellent, all the staff are soo kind especially Mr.Majed the Valet and Mr.Azizbek and soo many other I couldn't remember thier names but I remember them in my heart for sure , I promised my self each time I visit Dubai this resort will be my first and last choice, I suggest to everyone who doesn't visited this great resort to try and feel what im saying now , thanks JA resort

That kids club wasn't clear that there is extra charges. Time from 10-1pm Charges 150 per kid and from 2pm-6pm 150 per kids Total/ :300 AED per day !!!! This is redcliuce. The fact of not having an option to spend time with your kids inside the kids club was disappointing. + they have charged me extra for each session for my other kid .Funny said as per their policy !!! This is only DROP OFF facility!! I need to spend time with my kids not dropping them off !! I'm claiming back 200 from booking.com I hope you consider thus claiming request I have the orginal invoices .

The property features proximity to beach, golf course and shooting club Our stay was during Orthodox Xmas so the lunch buffet option was great

Distance from the city Broken toilet - maintenance team had to work on it twice within our two nights stay to get it properly fixed Christmas lunch buffet - options seemed to cater to a particular ethnicity though the buffet was open to all. Dinner reservations - dinner at their restaurants are mostly only on reservation basis and not walk in. Food from outside is also not permitted.

wonderful area and surroundings with nature full of beautiful trees, flowers, grass. Possible to do many sports even horse riding. We enjoyed everyday running outside around golf course. Beach was perfect with full equipment, possibility to do water sports. Meals very delicious, we had half board and appreciated to try more restaurants around and also choice to switch lunch or dinner. Thank you for such amazing experience in your resort. Hopefully coming back soon :)

only disadvantage is that the resort is far away from centre od Dubai but on the other hand they provide free shuttle buses to famous malls what we really appreciated.

Nice buffet breakfast, pools are small but were never busy, nice well kept beach with plenty of sunbeds. We didn't eat in the hotel restaurant in the evenings - but did try the Indian restaurant and roof top bar at the sister Lake View Hotel - only 20 mins walk away and worth the trip!

offers of 'tap water' at meal times - paying £4-5 for bottled water each time hurt! The beach Watersports kits was very under-used and for the price not that good value. Shame as the place lends itself to messing about on the water! Was a long taxi ride into 'down town' Dubai - but taxis were readily available.

I loved the views of the gulf from the balcony. The best value for the family was the breakfast buffet. The most impressive was the staff (friendly and pleasant) especially the "greeter/valet" at the door. He was very helpful.

The location is ideal if you prefer a quieter location away from the traffic/ hustle and bustle of the city. However, since this was our first time visiting Dubai, we naturally wanted to enjoy the attractions and places of interest. We quickly learned that a 40-minute commute into the city was not something we liked to do every day.

There was some mistake on booking.com hotel profile; I booked family room of 68 sq m, but in reality this room was 38 sq m. After discovering that, I went to sort it out to reception - and they handled it in a very good way, admitted mistake; It took a while, but eventually we were given different room in different hotel that met our expectations / initial booking. (hotel was in the same hotel compound, just 200m away). They also corrected booking.com description immediatelly. This is the true value of good customer service - handling exceptions; And this was a trip for my parents / 70th year birthday of my dad - Patrick, thanks a lot and warm regards to JA staff!

I liked it - but for some people it may be disadvantage; these 3 hotels complex (JA Beach Resort, JA Palm Tree Court, JA Lake View) are superb premises with a lot of possible activities, but they are really far away from anything. For me this was a plus, but for some people this may be a minus.
