Scrumptious breakfast with brilliant catering for coeliac As is my husband.. spacious bathroom with walk-in shower with smellies , quality white bedding and towels, room was immaculate.
Our only wish was for a suitcase rack but that’s a minor in the bigger positive of the stunning hotel.

Derby Manor is in a good location within walking distance to the beach and pier at Boscombe. There is no problem with parking and you can also use the car park at their sister hotel over the road (Langtry Manor hotel). The room we had was a good size, with comfortable bed and a great bathroom. There was tea and coffee facilities available in the lounge which you could take outside and enjoy in the garden.
The fruit at breakfast was from tins and the scrambled egg with salmon on toast was made from 1 solitary egg.

The building and rooms were as seen on booking.com. The reception and dining staff were always helpful and friendly. The room was serviced every day. The towels were replaced daily as were the bottled water, tea, coffee and biscuits in our room. The full English breakfasts were always freshly cooked. The community room and bar were always clean and comfortable, and tea, coffee and biscuits were always available within the hotel throughout the day. There were sets of patio furniture outside for guests to use whenever they wanted. The taxi service from the hotel reception desk into Bournemouth was excellent and the cost reasonable.
If two guests were staying for more than a couple of nights then perhaps more than 3 coat hangers in the wall cupboard within the room would be useful as the drawers in the bedside cabinets and dressing table were of a smaller size.

I had a fantastic stay at Derby Manor and would highly recommend it to anyone visiting Bournemouth. From the moment I arrived, the warm and welcoming staff made me feel at home. The room was beautifully designed, spacious, and spotlessly clean, with a very comfortable bed that ensured a restful night’s sleep. I particularly appreciated the attention to detail in the decor and amenities, which added to the overall luxurious feel. The breakfast was delicious and freshly prepared, offering a great selection to start the day. The hotel’s location is also convenient, making it easy to explore the area. Overall, Derby Manor exceeded my expectations with its exceptional service, comfort, and peaceful atmosphere. I look forward to returning in the future!

Having read a previous review after I had booked I was a little apprehensive before my visit. However the greeting on arrival from Nicola was very warming. We were then shown to our room ‘Derby’ (all rooms named after race course) the room was very well appointed with a super king bed with excellent quality bedding. The en-suite shower room was of a good size with very nice quality towels. Our room over looked the garden and even though there were roadworks going on outside it was very peaceful. The other facilities included a lovely appointed and very comfortable lounge area with coffee and biscuits available free, should you want them. The breakfast room was lovely and bright and we were met by the server Ana who was always friendly and polite. The choice of breakfast either hot or cold was full of excellent choices and was served very quickly and obviously freshly cooked.
No bar after 9.30pm. The 20 minute walk into Bournemouth although you could order a taxi direct from the reception area.

I wasn’t sure what to expect from the hotel, but I was pleasantly surprised. From the moment I arrived, the staff were incredibly welcoming and attentive. The entire property was clean, and my room was exceptionally spacious and comfortable. The team truly listened to my needs and offered great support throughout my stay. There were also lovely common areas, perfect for relaxing if I didn’t feel like staying in the room. As someone from a minority background, I had some initial concerns about how I might be received—but I was genuinely touched by how kind, respectful, and inclusive everyone was. I felt completely at ease and valued. Thank you for making my stay such a joyful and memorable experience. I couldn’t fault a single thing.
Early cleaning window.

We were greeted by a friendly receptionist. We were given a brief tour of the main facilities. Our room was beautiful. It was clean, spacious and extremely comfortable. I very rarely sleep well on the first night in a different place, but I slept peacefully. The bed was very comfortable. The breakfast was delicious with plenty of choice. The staff were friendly and helpful. The hotel is decorated to a high standard. Everywhere is clean and comfortable. I would highly recommend staying here and we will definitely be returning.
Nothing could be improved!

This was our first visit to both Bournemouth and The Derby Manor hotel, which filled us with a mix of hopeful optimism and nervous anticipation. Upon our arrival, the first impressions were excellent. The hotel looked very impressive and well maintained, there was easy access into the large level gravelled car park and the manicured gardens provided a paradise of sanctuary and seclusion. Upon entering the hotel, we were warmly welcomed at reception and promptly shown to our room, The St Ledger. Wow!, the room was luxurious and super spacious with deep pile carpet, queen size bed, gorgeous, generous furniture, furnishings and decor and a lovely large wall mounted TV. The bathroom was also lovely and large and fitted with a big bath and overhead shower. The bedroom was at the rear of the property and as such, provided privacy, peace and quiet. The following morning at 9-30, we were warmly welcomed into the dining room for breakfast. Wow (again), the room was super spacious, light and airy and featured two large Georgian windows looking over the gorgeous garden and a large roof light. In the beautiful breakfast room, we were provided with an equally beautiful banquet of fresh fruits, cereals, croissants, toast, full English breakfast, fresh filter coffee and selection of teas. The staff at Derby Manor were so accommodating, attentive and amenable, and we wish to take this opportunity To express our gratitude and appreciation for making our stay such an enjoyable and exceptional experience. We hope to see you again soon. Andy & Joy, Gloucester.
Our only criticism of The Derby Manor would be the difficulty with contacting the hotel by telephone, which is worsened by providing No voicemail facility. We made several attempts over 2 days to contact The Derby Manor without success and almost chose alternative accommodation as a result.

I don’t usually write reviews, but Derby Manor absolutely deserves the praise. From the moment I arrived, I was blown away by the level of service and attention to detail. The hotel is immaculately clean, and every corner radiates luxury and comfort. The plush interiors, elegant décor, and beautifully designed rooms make it feel like a true five-star experience. What stood out most, though, was the warmth and friendliness of the staff. They went out of their way to make my stay perfect—always smiling, helpful, and genuinely welcoming. It's rare to find a place that feels this polished yet so personal. I’ve stayed at many hotels around the world, but Derby Manor is by far the best. I can’t recommend it highly enough. If you’re looking for a relaxing, luxurious stay with top-tier service, this is the place. I’m already looking forward to coming back!
If I had one small suggestion—it would’ve been lovely to have a slightly later check-out option. I ended up having to do my make-up in the car, which took a little of the shine off what was otherwise a perfect stay. That said, I’d return in a heartbeat and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Derby Manor to anyone looking for a stylish, comfortable, and memorable experience.

The staff were the most welcoming! Lady on reception (didn’t get her name unfortunately) was lovely and extremely helpful and polite, put us at ease straight away, nothing was too much trouble x York room was amazing especially the spa bath! Very spacious and comfortable and bed very comfortable x breakfast was great, for me sausages could have done with a little more cooking but that’s just personal preference. Loved the fact there was tea and coffee and biscuits available to help yourself too throughout the day and evening.
I only have two little thing, would of been nice to have been able to open bathroom window just to get a bit of air flow through and could get tv subtitles to turn off and no-one knew how to do it, but not a huge problem!
