Lovely room, good location, and brilliant staff, esp. Amy who did a fantastic job of running the breakfast room with a smile on her face each morning despite the pressures of looking after a packed room. The location wad handy for the beach, not too far from town, and had good bus connections.

Possibly, the shower / en suite area needed updating, and the omelette breakfast looked a little bare - a few hash browns, beans, and/or a slice of crusty bread would have been a nice touch. It was still delicious, though. Car parking felt a bit hit'n'miss.

Very nice hotel with very pleasant staff. Room was very quiet and comfortable. Free parking was a real bonus and the breakfast was delicious, we needed to leave early and we were worried that we wouldn't have time for breakfast which started at 8am on Sunday, but it was very efficiently served and we were very impressed with the quality and friendly service. I was worried about the size of the car park and spaces having read other review, as we have a large vehicle (Ford Ranger Pickup), it is tight to manoeuvre in to the spaces but we found it easy enough to manage even with our vehicle, so no worries. Would definitely recommend and stay there again.

Shower cubicle was too small and the mixer / shower head was difficult to operate and not very powerful, but ok for our short one night stop over.

The en-suite room was fine and quiet (requested). On the North side of the building and on the upper floor it was cool despite sunny days. Breakfast was exemplary, good choice and prepared to order. Parking on site available. Close to the sea and easy walking. Some nice "chines", arboretums and gardens in the area, particularly Bournemouth Lower Gardens (easy walking) and Compton Acres (reachable by service bus). Further away the tall trees walk at Brockenhurst is impressive.

Nothing really, The lounge/bar was closed for renovation. There is no lift and the upper floor stairs are steep for those with reduced mobility. The first floor stairs are wider and easier to use.

Room was nice size, clean, plenty of storage and away from other rooms so lovely and quiet. No sound of slamming doors as people came in late or left early. Decor very nice. All very clean. Furniture was nice and functional, showed wear and tear, but this to be expected. Nicely cooked breakfast, in traditional shared breakfast room, with friendly staff. Flowers outside hotel made a lovely show. Frequent buses into town.

Shower was lovely, new and clean. Some might find it too small, but all good for me. I’d check with clients they are ok with stairs to room 11, but the room was fine for me.

Very pleasant overall - cosy room and nice building. Nice shower and bathroom. Nice bed. No problems with location and parking available.

I felt the breakfast portions were a bit stingy - not your typical size cooked breakfast. There was a bit of a lack of explanation upon arrival at breakfast, e.g. the table was not laid for me/my room and no proper welcome. It was generally fine, but I felt that could have been a bit better. Some other guests noticed that the juice was off and I wonder if some of the breakfast items had been out for too long or were not overly fresh.

We arrived to a warm welcome and our room was gorgeous. Really stylish and a spacious bathroom with excellent shower. Lovely touch of a teapot with the kettle etc. It is a lovely Victorian building with spacious rooms. It was very relaxing and comfortable and there was good parking. It's a short walk down through Boscombe Chine and along the front to town. The bus also stops close by. We enjoyed the breakfast, excellent quality sausage and bacon etc beautifully cooked and presented and our waitress was friendly. Can't recommend it highly enough. This is one of the best places we've ever stayed, hands down. Thank you.

Nothing. Everything was perfect!

Everything was exceptionally perfect. Breakfast was amazing; our room was brilliant and kept exceptionally clean. The entire staff at this beautiful hotel have to be congratulated for their efficiency and total professionalism in what they do, hence the well deserved 5 stars ( we'd give them 100 stars!). Thank you Harps and Ricky for allowing us to stay, and in particular for arranging for the most beautiful bouquet of flowers to be delivered for my wife's Birthday. Thank you also to Magda who looked after us so well at breakfast each morning, and to Amy too. Next time we visit Bournemouth we will definitely be booking into this amazing hotel.

Really good location, nice walkable distance to Boscombe and Bournemouth piers. Sufficient parking right outside the B&B. Room was a good size, lovely bathroom which very clean and the whole place is quiet. Breakfast is excellent.

We were there on a very mild weekend and everywhere was incredibly hot. A fan is provided in the room but breakfast area was uncomfortable. This will only be temporary but the lounge bar area was in the process is being refurbished.

The breakfast was fine , freshly cooked and brought to the table . Parking was one of the main reasons for visiting The Balincourt , and there was just enough for all the guests when we stayed. I think Harps had a reassuring fall- back plan. Harps also helpfully changed our room from the second floor to the first floor at our request before arriving.

Unfortunately, the guests’ lounge was being refurbished during our stay and was not available, for which we received an apology.

Quiet, couldn’t hear any noise. Lovely friendly staff. The building. Massive room with an enormous walk in shower/wet room

Although the room was massive there was no coffee table to enable you to sit in chairs. Had to sit on bed, not a massive problem but would just be the finishing touch. Car park needs expanding, would benefit from losing the flower bed to give extra width. Which would still leave a large lawned area and space to continue with getting awards for flowers displays.
