This was our third stay and our third different room. It was very comfortable, with a compact but very modern bathroom. The check-in process has now changed to door codes as the hotel is now unmanned (reception etc is at Derby Manor) but this worked smoothly. The lovely lounge was open, which we hadn’t seen before, with complementary tea and coffee available. The building, once the home of Lilly Langtry, is so beautiful that any stay is a pleasure.

Our bathroom had only a rain forest, overhead shower. I would recommend providing flannels for guests, to assist with washing, where this is the case.

The property was lovely, very clean and comfortable. Great location. Breakfast at the sister hotel across the road was very good.

We have stayed at this hotel several times and have always had a good experience. This time however we were a bit disappointed on arrival. I know in the email that we received it says about the check in time and understand that sometimes the rooms aren’t ready. However, when we’ve arrived early before they have always been accommodating and either let us wait or even let us in if the rooms are ready. This time we were told by one person that the rooms were ready but then refused to be let in by some man who I take it is new? Not very welcoming at all.

Loved the room (king room) amazing, stunning, comfortable. Bed amazing. Jacuzzi bath fabulous but took about 45 minutes to fill as the water was not much more than a trickle. The hotel is full of history and memorabilia. Not usually my thing but this grabbed me. Breakfast was to a reasonable standard. Waitress was very good.

Carpets in room not great. No staff. Coded check in. Bar not open. Everything at sister hotel across the road. This was approximately 100m This meant a trek for breakfast and having to go there if you wanted a drink in the evening. Not good for people with poor mobility, also not good if it’s raining. Ideally you want a drink in the bar at your own hotel.

Lovely traditional hotel, with many artefacts, picture etc dedicated to Lillie Langtry as her former home. Specifically relevant to my partner as she had acted with Francesca Annis in a play about Lillie, and indeed there were pictures on the main wall referring to the play. Very clean, spacious building with two lounges for relaxing. No staff on duty as this was self check in - very easy. Sister hotel across the road was where breakfast was taken, which was very good.

Whilst the place was immaculate, we weren't particularly taken with the larger room that we booked which was at the top of the hotel. The stairs leading to it were steep and the bathroom had a sloping wall which was a little irritating. This is entirely a personal issue and probably our fault for booking one of the largest rooms rather than a more traditional standard room. However, we would definitely stay again.

The location was perfect. Within walking distance to beach and town and close to public transport if not so able. Staff were very polite, helpful, and professional. We stayed in Junior Suite with Spa bath and was everything l expected and room was very clean. Booked breakfast during our stay and this was across the road to sister hotel Derby Manor. Again breakfast like the room and hotel did not disappoint. Good selection of buffet items and good choice of cooked breakfast and again staff were excellent. Lounge area at Langtry Manor Hotel was lovely as you could help yourself to teas/ coffees and more anytime of the day which was a nice touch. All in all would highly recommend the hotel.

The location was excellent, just down a side road off the busy Christchurch Road, but you would not have known there was a main road a few yards away. The building itself is very interesting with its historic connections and parking the car in their car park was never a problem. Room for all, but there was also the ability to use their sister hotel on the opposite corner to park if necessary. The room was comfortable, overlooking the garden and the staff, well we only saw the receptionist, Nicola and she was absolutely lovely. Friendly, helpful and we received a warm welcome from her everytime we came in. She was informative and nothing was too much trouble. Breakfast was served at their sister hotel, Derby Manor, opposite, 2 minutes walk from Langtry, and the food was first class. Plenty of choice too. We didn't have the cooked breakfasts but they looked really tasty. All set in elegant and rather sumptuous surroundings. We will return. We walked into Bournemouth every evening, it is only a 10 minute stroll, but we could have ordered a taxi at the touch of a button at the hotel, we just preferred the walk..it is all on the flat until you reach the shops, so was ideal for walking.

I wouldnt say it's something I didnt like, as I knew full well they didnt serve food any more when I booked, but I do think it is a shame that they don't do it any more at Langtry. I visited before, about 14 years ago and really enjoyed the dining experience there, but times change and Derby Manor didn't disappoint. Apart from that, there is nothing I could criticise. We will book for next year definitely.

There simply wasn't anything to dislike. Excellent correspondence with the Manor staff In regards how to enter. From the moment we stepped into the property, we were surrounded by history. Every room had history. History that had been delicately looked after. The whole hotel inside and out was so clean. Credit to the lovely cleaning ladies. The room we had was warm and comfortable. Exceptionally clean. Plenty of storage. Shower strength was just right and WiFi was very good.

The only thing we would have liked is to perhaps have met reception staff, and hand soap.

Location was ideal for us, also nice and quiet. Staff very good helpful and very attentive. Room was excellent we booked the Junior suite with spa bath. During our stay we passed the King's suit while the door was open it looked amazing will definitely book that room on our next visit. On some reviews people complained about having to have breakfast in the sister hotel next door the Derby Manor Hotel this is not a problem less than a minute walk across a road that is not busy, the breakfast was excellent as was the service. As for the Derby Manor it to looked a beautiful hotel and as the Langtry we will book a room there on one of our visits. Thank you to both hotels.

Just one small snag, we booked an early arrival, as you are given a code to gain access to the hotel ours did not work and could not get in. But with one quick phone call it was sorted immediately so no complaints from us just a minor inconvenience that was rectified immediately.

Very spacious room with lots of history. Clean and warm, plenty of tea, coffee, milk etc available. Very nice sister hotel just one minute walk away with very friendly staff.

Would be nice to have some crockery, cutlery, wine glasses and a fridge in the room as we spent most of the evening in there! Was advised on the day that we were booked into the Kings parlour room but we had booked the Presidential suite. After a few messages and phone calls that advised us to email, we finally got two messages to advise that the Kings Parlour was in fact The Presidential Suite!!! A bit confusing!

Very comfortable bed. Great nights sleep. Black out blinds fantastic. Nice spacious rooms. Kept clean. Loved being able to self check in with key codes. Nicely decorated around the hotel. Coffee, hot choc, teas, biscuits, shower gels etc always appreciated. Inviting lounges around the hotel and outside seating in a garden area. Perfect place for a relaxing get away not too far from town.

A few bits need some TLC. With the price I got on a deal it was great value for money and I'd come running back but I would have been a little disappointed if I paid full price. Bathroom radiator unusable with rust. A few lights/switches not working. Metal rings around bath jets come off when using. A fresh coat of paint & a some super glue wouldn't go a miss in some areas.
