I liked the front of the hotel. The staff were friendly and there would always be someone at night which added a sense of peace. I booked the two plane room and it was nice looking and the kitchen had what we needed. The room was super clean and bed sheets looked like they were new. Location is good like it's a short walking distance to different places and bus stops are nearby on Princes street. It's like a hotel but minus room service. I'm not saying it's bad but different from what you would be used to. At the front desk they have someone who speaks Arabic.

I wished the windows were reflective glass so we could have a sense of privacy. We had to keep the curtains down all the time we were there.

The location is absolutely fantastic, offering easy access to all the main attractions and conveniences nearby. The room itself is wonderfully spacious, providing plenty of room to relax and move around comfortably. On top of that, the bed is exceptionally cozy, ensuring you get a restful and peaceful night’s sleep every time.

The cleaning is once a week only, which may be at least twice. Secondly, there is lot of noise from garbage trucks in the back street , don't know if they dump empty bottles or what. This happened every morning and woke you up.

Everything about our stay at Eden Locke was excellent. The staff, the rooms, the location. It was the perfect place for us to kick off our trip when we got to Scotland. The room was great, spacious with a lovely kitchen space, washer/dryer combo and really comfortable bed. Loved the coffee shop downstairs as well and the location. A little quieter then staying closer to the royal mile but so easy to walk to anything we needed. We absolutely loved the area we were in and, with a little one, was perfect to have it be a little less crowded. But the staff are really what made this spot special. Everyone we interacted with went above and beyond to help us, give us recommendations and make our stay feel special. The bag storage was so helpful for us as well on either end of our stay too. We felt welcomed and so looked after and would absolutely return next time we are in the area!

Nothing!

I had a very pleasant stay at this hotel. The staff was extremely kind and helpful, always available to assist with any request. The location is perfect, allowing easy access to the main attractions and public transport. The room was comfortable and well-equipped, offering all the necessary amenities. I particularly appreciated its quietness, which allowed for a good night’s sleep. If I could suggest one small improvement, it would be to add a few extra amenities in the room. A small drying rack would be very useful for guests staying longer, and in the kitchen, providing some basic essentials like oil and salt would be a great touch. Overall, I highly recommend this hotel and would gladly stay here again!

The hotel is in a great central location. The kitchen is fitted with high quality appliances such as an induction cooktop, a combi oven microwave and a well functioning washing machine and dryer.

The window on the room I got was very small and the room tended to not get a lot of natural lights. Also the lighting in the room was not the best, making the room dark even during the day (which is great for sleeping but not so great if you plan to spend time in the room.

Facilities were really good, they even had a white noise machine! Super central to Edinburgh, we were basically in the middle of the xmas market! Staff were very approachable. We even got a free hot drink voucher from the cafe in the building. They recommended venues and locations for us to explore, and allowed us to store our bags so we could enjoy our final day without carrying them. Overall, it is a really positive experience, well worth what you pay!

(Really pulling at straws here) but we had a lower ground room which didn't have great built in lighting, but did come with lots of lamps to brighten up the space!

The staff were super friendly and helpful with every request we had. The cafe at the lobby had good coffee and pastries. Not to forget the way they communicate with you through WhatsApp about any issue or questions, how fast and easy they make it is something super convenient. Just absolutely love the place!

The corner we were in had noise when disposing the garbage. Also it had a lot of oil and cooking smell since we were that side of our stay. Although, once we addressed our issue they did change our rooms the next day to a better place (no noise and bad smell).

While we were only a 10 minute walk mostly through the park all flat until the last 5 minutes into the Royal Mile - this studio apartment (two modest sized rooms (bedroom/bath and kitchen/sitting area) was delightfully one block north of Princes St near the "Castle end" without the bustling crowds of tourists, buses, trams of Princes St. Coffee shop reception area with nice elevators and lots of extra touches: yoga mat, spare top sheet, well supplied kitchenette, washer/dryer, and Dyson fan. Extremely helpful staff 24/7 on front desk with good suggestions and quick action when we had a stuck window. This small space put us on an upscale shopping street with pubs and restaurants steps away.

Request a quiet room if noise from a nearby restaurant in a shared courtyard bothers you - but the thick windows and fan took care of most of it.

Nice location and nice staff. Spacious room. Plentiful and good quality utilities.

The room was quite dark, with a single window on a courtyard shared with a club/bar which can be quite noisy (the isolation from the window is pretty good). The room’s light are too bright in terms of kelvin - 6k - they should have something around 1-2k to make the place “cozy”. The rooms on the street side might be a better match with the picture present on booking.com

Love the decor and the setup of the room. It was really nice to have a washing machine and refrigerator, etc. Location was fantastic as well!

Street parking was all that was available and was quite expensive. I wouldn't recommend bringing a car to this location, but that's our issue. It was quite noisy outside the one night so you could hear everything, but they have a white noise machine in the room which unfortunately someone had taken the cord for it so I had to use my own which meant I couldn't charge my phone at the same time. Overall, it's a great hotel and a great location.
