The rooms and the bar / restaurant areas were light and airy and very comfortable and clean. The rooms were incredibly spacious and comfortable.

The changing rooms in the health centre are freezing cold which makes it quite uncomfortable when getting out of the pool. It would be nice if there was some plastic bags to put wet swimwear in or one of those machines that wrings out the excess water. The staff were fabulous especially the reception staff and the gentleman manning the bar area on our first night. In our second night sadly the lady manning the bar area was incredibly unhelpful and disinterested in serving us to the point that we moved into the restaurant - she was more interested in chatting to a gentleman in the bar.

Upon arrival, I was greeted by reception and given our room 18, which was near the gym and pool area. That was great as my wife has disabilities and being near the pool area was welcomed. This was by chance rather than design as we didn't inform the hotel about our disabilities. Our room was clean and cool with the air con on. Again, that was welcoming as the ambient temperature was over 25c. The bed was made, and the room was clean and tidy. Two chairs and queen bed. The bathroom was clean and tidy with towels for 2 people. There was a safe in the cupboard, with iron and ironing board. Coffee and tea making in the room. The gym, pool and sauna were the main reasons why we chose this hotel and they were clean and enjoyable. Graham at the gym reception was a lovely chatty person. I also spoke to reception on departure and cleaning manager who were very warm, polite, and caring. A great team. Thank you. Lovely place to stay and can be very good value for money if you are careful to choose the time you stay.

The base of the shower in one corner was rotting and black mould. This was clearly due to the shower design being inadequate. When you have a shower, the door area allows for water to drip outside onto the floor. Even with a mat there, it gets wet and thereby causes water damage. Also, the sink plug stopper was also broken. I'm not sure how long but clearly for many months rather than weeks.

Good variety at breakfast, something for everyone. Room was nice and clean, mini bar nice. Pool etc was nice .

All the lockers where broken when we went for a swim, doors hanging off, so had to take everything to yhe poolside. Partner took a bottle of water as he is type 1 diabetic and gets thirsty after a swim or steam room, but due to a gypsy family being in the pool area, that got pinched a d thrown in the pool by their kids, a d then they filled it up and pure some water on another guest as they walked by. It would have been better if there was a member of staff keeping an eye on things around the pool area.

The breakfast buffet was hot and plentiful, a good selection of everything. The staff were superb! They truly made our stay, from an evening check in, to breakfast and dinner, we couldn’t fault the staff. My 7 yr old son has food intolerances and the staff were knowledgeable and accommodating, with food he could eat! Even the chef popped out to chat with us, making us feel reassured. The room was clean and adequate for our needs. We used the pool in the health club, this is the only area aesthetically letting everything down as the changing rooms and pool are in desperate need of an overhaul. Such a shame this has been neglected. However the kids had a wonderful time in the pool! You won’t be disappointed with this hotel for families, the staff exceeded our expectations and made our stay a wonderful one :)

I booked a family room on the day of arrival and the sofa bed wasn’t made up when we checked in late. However the receptionist was quick to rectify that and we slept well.

Jose on the desk was very helpful. Unfortunately our family room didn't have the second bed ready and then it wouldn't come out even with help of staff. So we ended up having to move rooms at midnight which was a bit annoying with two kids so everyone was a bit tired. Not sure what went wrong with booking.com and the hotel - by the sounds of things it was on the holiday inn side as they knew it was 2 adults and 2 kids. All a bit exhausting but it's a good hotel, convenient++ if driving. Too tired to use the pool in the morning as planned but that seems a bonus

Room not made up properly

Very pleasant experience from the welcoming emails to the physical signing out at Reception. We were made to feel special. Everything ran efficiently. Room squeaky clean and sparkling with comfortable beds (twin). Breakfast superb with lots of choice. The Health Spa was an added bonus... BUT...

The Health Club was an added bonus but, although the Pool itself was well used, and maintained, the surrounding areas (changing rooms & lockers, showers, toilets, immediate surround to the Pool) were not in keeping with the high standard of the accommodation offered in the Hotel. These areas all looked 'tired' and in need of a re-furbish.

The hotel was lovely, staff very friendly, the hotel was in a nice area and the atmosphere was calm, not too busy and friendly. I travelled with my autistic daughter and my young son as we were travelling to London for assessments, great location, we have actually booked again at the same hotel as we are in need to travel to London again at the end of the month :)

WiFi wasn’t a great a connection but the TV’s are smart TV’s so we were able to stream a Disney movie on the tv for my children which was a big bonus as a lot of hotels only have freeview & the children have to watch their iPads, it was nice to be able to watch a film as a family rather than feeling separated in a small space :)

It’s a nice lay out as you walk in. Restaurant is nice. Little over priced for the quality of the food. Kind and happy staff but a little slow on clearing plates. We had to grab their attention after quite a while. Swimming pool has great opening times starting at 7.30am. Needs a lick of paint and is rather outdated. Rooms were nice and exceptionally clean. Shower and hair products nice. Would appreciate a conditioner included too though. Not great instant coffee. Which is always a bit of a downfall provided in rooms.

Swimming pool and changing facilities outdated.

After a very hectic day at Harry Potter Warner Studios, the hotel was only a very short drive, max 10mins. The staff was extremely professional & polite. We ate in the restaurant for our evening meal. Coming from Manchester, the prices were higher than back home but the quality was excellent. We also had breakfast, the range of items were spectacular. There was the usual cooked breakfast, cereals, continental breakfast, fruit, yogurt, porridge......the list was endless 👌 It was my son & myself using the hotel, we asked for twin rooms on the ground floor with disabled parking. The room was spotless, the beds were very comfortable & the bathroom facilities Inc body wash & shampoo which we thought was a very lovely touch. The towels were the purest white, lovely & soft, beautifully presented. Would definitely recommend Holiday Inn in Hemel Hempstead if you need a stay over after visiting Warner Studios 👌🥰

Great location for Harry Potter World. The hotel was clean, well staffed and maintained. Breakfast was really good for a family of four and included within our booking. Dinner was good and what you would expect from a hotel chain. Our room again was clean and layed out for us for when we arrived in the evening. We had a great night's sleep and there was no noise from other rooms which was ideal. The pool facilities could do we a revamp as showing its age, but I suppose that's for the actual hotel directors to spend the money on it if they want to make this hotel amazing. We had an hour slot for swimming in the pool and that was perfect for the kids and towels were provided. There's lots of charge points and tables to work from if needed also. Overall we would definitely stay here again!.🙂

Just pool facilities need a revamp.
