- Great menus. Full Scottish Breakfast is outstanding. - Very friendly staff. - Very dog friendly hotel. - Beautiful surroundings, ideal for walkers and cyclists. - Immaculately clean. - Good selection of drinks at the bar. - Good choice of pubs/restaurants close by. - Bed was extremely comfortable.

- Upstairs showers are very weak, would recommend fitting power showers. - Floorboards in some of the rooms are very creaky, just need nailing down. - Only a few car park spaces. - Despite excellent and efficient restaurant staff, on busy nights you will have to wait to be seated. - Metal seats in the bedrooms not very comfy to sit on whilst watching tv. - TV bar area is a little small.

Really good hotel for cyclists, and nowhere is too far to walk in Innerleithen. Great lock-up at the rear of the hotel for bikes. Rooms were super-comfy, large, good shower etc. Breakfast was really excellent - everything we had was awesome. The staff were all chatty and welcoming. Went round the corner for a curry and next door to the micro-brewery bar for beers, so couldn't comment on the food/drink service. Highly Recommended

Nothing really at all. Didn't eat dinner here as we went out for a curry, but if dinner is as good as breakfast, you'll be fine.

Friendly helpful staff, very welcoming and accommodating when we had a problem with the booking. Went out of their way to sort it out. They clearly are well led and therefore happy. Clean and tastefully decorated. Large room with lovely views of the hills Food was good and very promptly served. Great storage for our bicycles.

Only very slightly dowdy carpeting and some doors needed attention. But overall hard to find anything I didn't like about this great hotel.

The hotel is ideally located in the very attractive small town of Innerleithen & beautiful countryside! The public areas are quite extensive are clean and have a pleasant ambience, there are also pleasant external sitting areas. The main positives of our stay were the excellent food, both breakfast & dinner & the great friendly staff ! Also the better than average selection of beers & real ales.

Very squeaky bedroom floor. Tiny en suite. Noisy corridor / doors especially during night when other guests perhaps in non en suite rooms were using toilet/bathroom facilities. Small awkward carpark.

we pre booked the restaurant with an answerphone, after nobody answered and message stated leave message. only to arrive and be told there was no booking, and no availability and the answerphone wasn't checked, which was very disappointing, especially as there were large events on and getting a meal elsewhere was very problematic. Having stayed previous years, part of that was as the food is very nice there.

The hotel is in a great location and ideal for the visit we made to Glentress MTB Centre. The room was large and very clean. The management and staff were very friendly and helpful.

Unfortunately on arrival there was a fault with the lock on the bedroom door. The staff went out of their way to fix this and provided a satisfactory solution. A minor point was the shower pressure was low, likely as we were at the top of the building.

The management and staff at the hotel, bar and restaurant gave exceptional, friendly and efficient service. Location was great in the centre of Innerleithen, for hill and local walks and access to other borders towns. Our room was comfortable and spacious with a great bath and bathroom.

Although we appreciate that the weather turned very cold later in our stay, our bedroom was always cold during the day and at night.

Our stay was perfect from start to finish! The room was spacious, tastefully decorated with a large, comfortable double bed. The host was not only friendly but very efficient. All food on offer was excellent, both at dinner and breakfast. Ww enjoyed our stay.

Nothing to dislike. A suggestion, though. For people who travel light, such as cyclists and bikers, some toiletries in the bathroom would be useful.

As we were staying in one of the self-catering cottages we didn’t take the opportunity to eat very often in the restaurant, but when we did, the food was delicious, and well presented. Service very friendly and attentive but relaxed. Next time we’ll use the restaurant and bar more as it is so pleasant.

Very confortable room, well serviced daily. Slight irritation - there was no electric razor point in the bathroom. We used a socket in the bedroom, with adapter plug, to charge toothbrushes.

Simple breakfast menu although it was adequate. Helpful chef though, who was willing to accommodate requests where possible.
