Great location. Walking distance to many attractions. Incredibly pleasant and helpful staff. Lovely breakfast with loads of choice and again, the staff were so pleasant from the second you put your foot inside the door.

Best hotel I’ve ever stayed at. The staff go above and beyond, customer service is impeccable from reception to housekeeping. We visited on valentines day and the housekeeping staff put an incredible amount of effort into preparing the room even without our request, it was beautiful. The amenities are fantastic, extensive, and clean. The room was clean and had everything you need, including the best complimentary teas and coffees. We tried the in-room breakfast service which was so delicious and reasonably priced for the quality. Very conveniently located near several tube stations and walking distance to the river and tourist attractions.

Nothing :)

Clean and comfortable with friendly staff. Cost v location excellent Lovely boutique feel.

Entrance to room too dark especially considering the tea/coffe facility is in the cupboard with no lighting inside or directly above Our room was a corner room and windows look directly into each other which was a bit odd (feet apart) and with a glass topped room below looking directly into the bedroom of neighbours. Obviously close the curtains but room privacy is something to be mindful of when staying here. (Room applicable obviously)

The most amazing service. Firstly it’s in a lovely area near the Tower of London and not far from St Paul’s with a train station really close by, making it a great location which was also so quiet. I booked to stay here for my mums hen do and the lovely girl on reception (sorry I don’t know her name but she deserves a shoutout) went above and beyond setting up balloons in the room and making sure everything was perfect for us. The rooms and bathrooms were exceptionally clean, the little touches in the room were lovely. The bar serves great drinks and has a beautiful vibe. I will definitely be coming back again. Also bumped into a lovely house cleaner who was happy to help me. Everyone there was amazing. Thank you 🙂

The vegan breakfast was ok but there’s nicer vegan sausages like Richmond that might be better. One mushroom wasn’t enough and the half a tomato was small and had no flavour. Hash brown was good. Maybe some dairy free yoghurt could be available to have with the fruit and granola. Everyone enjoyed their breakfast otherwise and there’s a nice selection of things.

The hotel is in a great location in East London—peaceful yet still well-connected. Our room was very spacious, and although we originally booked a twin room and were given a different setup at first, the staff quickly resolved it. One male staff member, in particular, was especially helpful and made us feel well taken care of from the start. The beds were comfortable, and we both slept well. The lobby was also beautiful and had a luxurious feel to it. We appreciated how hospitable the staff were—they made sure we had everything we needed and even brought requested items straight to our room. Overall, a really pleasant stay.

When we checked in, we were initially given a room with a double bed instead of the twin room we had booked. It was a bit frustrating, especially after a long flight, but thankfully the staff handled it quickly. The first room also felt quite small. Once we were moved, the new room was spacious, but unfortunately it had no proper windows, which made it feel dark and a bit claustrophobic. There was a small window facing upwards, but it didn’t really bring in natural light. Also, although we had requested twin beds, they were placed so close together that it felt like a double bed—so we would have preferred more separation between them.

The warm friendly greeting from the staff on arrival was lovely. The staff were very helpful. Check in was fast, efficient and everything was explained to us. Someone took us up to our room and explained where everything was and how the heating/air conditioning worked. We were allocated a twin room close to the lifts and our room was for a person using a wheelchair with a walk in shower, a pull down rail next to the toilet etc as my mum is in a wheelchair. Comfortable beds, good lighting in the room and a large, clear television and a safe and ironing board and slippers and dressing gown in our room. There was tea, coffee, hot chocolate, milk, biscuits and a fridge in our room. Robert in the Lampery restaurant is exceptional and deserves a special mention. He is a credit to the company and an outstanding member of the team. That is what they all are there - a team. They all work together to make your stay very enjoyable. Robert was aware of our food allergies which I informed the chef about in advance and Robert and the kitchen made sure our meals were safe for us to eat so we weren’t ill. He also helped the table behind us too exactly the same as one of their party had a nut allergy. The breakfast was very good, with a wide range of choice including Gluten Free. The wheelchair lift at the front of the hotel was broken so thankfully my mum was able to get out of her wheelchair and walk down the stairs while I carried her wheelchair up and down the stairs when I am disabled myself having had 2 knee replacements. I only had to do this once as the reception staff and Robert from the Lampery rushed over to help me and mum and carry her wheelchair up and down the stairs. Other people staying at the hotel did this and helped us too. I cannot express how grateful I am for everyone’s help. It’s a really nice hotel with a lovely atmosphere, very helpful staff and customers and I highly recommend it to everyone and I will definitely stay here again.

The small wheelchair lift next to the stairs leading up to the reception has broken down at the front of the hotel. The staff escorted us around the hotel through the step free entrance but it is a long walk around the hotel. My only real concern is the lifts going up to the rooms. Anyone can walk in, get in the lift, press the lift button and go up. I feel safer with lifts where you have to tap your room card to activate the lift as an added security feature.

Always a good experience at this hotel, although some of the entry level rooms are ground/below ground level so you don't get a view. I've stayed here 10+ times and it has always been good. They can be quite accommodating at giving room upgrades, if you ask nicely. It's always clean, quiet, rooms have a bath and the staff are very friendly. Breakfast is well worth having, very decent ingredients and choice. Central location if you're want to be near Tower Bridge/Tower of London or for the City.

Just that the ground/lower floor rooms don't have any view/limited light.

We had an incredible stay at the Apex City of London Hotel, and can’t praise the staff enough for making the experience truly memorable. From the moment we arrived, Vishal greeted us warmly and went above and beyond to ensure our comfort throughout our stay. His professionalism, attentiveness, and friendly demeanor made a world of difference. Vishal not only provided exceptional service but also shared fantastic recommendations for dining and activities in London, which enhanced our experience in the city. His dedication and genuine care for guests were truly outstanding. A special thanks as well to Veronika, who maintained our room with great care and respect, ensuring everything was spotless and comfortable. Additionally, Jake, the manager, played a vital role in making our stay smooth and enjoyable. The exceptional service and hospitality from the entire team made our visit unforgettable. I highly recommend the Apex City of London Hotel to anyone looking for a top-notch experience. Francis

Fantastic location, right next to the Tower of London and also Tower Bridge. Very clean, modern, located just of the main road, Tower Hill, in a quiet side road with hardly any noise at all. We have stayed here a few times, the staff are always very welcoming and friendly, especially on Reception and in the Dining Room. We were upgraded to a suite on the top floor with views of Tower Bridge and the Tower of London, which was excellent, it was our 10th Wedding Anniversary and were so surprised when there was also a welcoming anniversary gift of cakes when we entered the room, such a nice touch. We always stay here when visiting London as the service from the staff is superb, the rooms are excellent and I should also mention the breakfast is one of the best ever. No need to look where we’ll be staying on our next outing to London!

There was nothing I didn’t like.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at this hotel for a weekend/birthday getaway, and was thoroughly impressed by the experience. The staff were absolutely lovely and incredibly accommodating to two people just off an early morning flight and wanting to check-in early, always ready to assist with a smile. The room service was impeccable, with arguably the biggest breakfast selection I've ever seen, offering the convenience of charging to the room or paying upfront, which was a nice touch. Room comes with a mini fridge, with a bottle of water already in it. The bathroom had both a bath and a walk-in shower. The location of the hotel is excellent, just a good distance from the iconic Tower of London and only a short walk from both the underground and bus stops, making it easy to explore the city. Despite being surrounded by the bustling London nightlife, the hotel itself is situated on a nice and quiet street, providing a peaceful retreat after a day of sightseeing. I highly recommend this hotel for anyone looking to enjoy the vibrant city life while having a serene place to rest, with super comfortable beds!

The restaurant available within the hotel had a limited and specific menu that might not cater to everyone's preferences, however there are plenty of places to eat out-with the hotel. The bath was amazing however it didn't have a rail, which would have made it perfect for the other person I was travelling to use!
