amazing friendly and welcoming staff. They explain everything very well. It's open 24 hours. The 2 kitchens are nice with 1 social room with a TV. There is 1 security guard.

bedrooms are small there are some extra small hidden fees such as luggage storage, towels, breakfast

The staff were all very helpful in a proactive manner. Katie was unbelievable but not the only one. Well beyond the call of duty. Internet was fast and furious as well as reliable. But my favourite is the kitchen despite having restricted access during too many hours and one cannot have a cuppa tea until eight. A kettle in the lounge would suffice, me thinks

The deposit for key has to be cash in an area where there are no ATMs. Staff try to justify this with poor arguments with no realisation that if you have been around the hostel circle this is without doubt the worse system around.

Friendly staff on the reception trying to create a cozy atmosphere, Excellent location - just 5 minutes walk from Tate Britain, window views are also great - Westminster, etc. the sink in the room was also quite convenient.

Breakfast was quite cheap - GBP 3.50 but poor (IMHO) and hot inside the canteen. A couple of fans during the hot period would be nice.

I stayed at Astor Victoria for a week. The staff is fantastic and super helpful and caring. While the facility is modest as one would expect for a hostel, the staff is very responsive to resolve any issues. For instance, my room's heat was not working. They were able to fix it in a few days and in the meantime, a space heater and extra blankets were brought in promptly which did the trick.

Nothing really. Good value for the money. The lounge smelled a little the first day I arrived but it was cleaned up and the smell was gone the following day.

Cheap, clean and nice hostel. Friendly staff. Spacious kitchen. I didn't like that there was only one spot to charge your electronics for the whole room, it will be nice to have sockets and small shelf around every bed to be able to charge your devices while sleeping. I wasn't confortable to leave my stuff for the night exposed. The other thing was that was quite noisy from the people next door. They was slamming the door very hard but I think it's from the door itself. Anyway I expected some noice since I am in a hostel. Overall good experience, close to the tube and will visit again. :))

Nice smelling , a mixture of Boadicea and Trudon. The dom perign-pong was a welcome distraction after the caviar and trufles we took in the master bedroom which was well equipped with Frette linens and Clive Christian furniture

The hostel was always very clean, both the kitchen and the toilets and showers. The staff were nice and helpful. The location was also good, in a street with many hotels, so I found it safe at night. Remember to bring your own padlock, or they will charge you £7,50 if you want one.

On the hottest days, the room would be very hot, with only one fan for the entire room (not sufficient, of course). There was also only one outlet, with an extension that did not reach all the beds, which is very inconvenient. The bedroom door is very noisy, which was not pleasant for people who were sleeping. In the shower, there is no shelf or anything of the sort to hold your toiletries, you need to put them on the floor.

The staff are so helpful, considerate and accommodating. I’d like to personally mention Katie who always makes sure my stays are comfortable. She always looks out for me from ensuring my bed and room is very comfortable and to my liking to doing very helpful things like keeping my belongings safe when I check out or need to leave, to giving great tips and advice about different errands I need to run when I’m London. The staff as a whole are so wonderful, so friendly and approachable. I feel safe, happy and comfortable when I’m at Astor Victoria! The facilities are kept clean. I feel very happy using their toliets and showers. The rooms are very warm so you don’t freeze. And they always have the heaters on. If the rooms is too hot they provide a fan.

I liked how centric the hostel is. Besides, the staff is always happy to help you with whatever you might need and they give very good advice on everything inside and in the surrounding areas of the hostel. Lastly, the people I met there were very kind in general. If someone misbehaves, he/she will be kicked out of the place. The safety measures there are taken seriously, I can only be thankful for that.

The way the sockets are arranged in the bedrooms is not strategic for everyone at all. Not a deal breaker, but not having those within reach (near your bed) makes it a bit more uncomfortable for somebody who uses electronics on a regular basis. Someone was complaining about bedbugs but never experienced that issue myself; although, replacing the mattresses would be a great investment. And the bathrooms are very small.

The hostel is ideally located in a fantastic area, close to the city centre yet far enough away from the hustle and bustle, making it perfect for walking and exploring on foot. The hostel itself is immaculately clean, and I constantly noticed the staff striving to provide top-notch service. The staff are truly wonderful and friendly, making me feel right at home from the moment I checked in, thanks to the lovely girls who welcomed me, to the chats I had with the girl during dinner, and the reception guys, who were exceptional. Without a doubt, this is the best hostel in London, and its greatest asset is undoubtedly its staff.
