I was so pleased with the front desk staff and their attentiveness! My daughter and I stayed at Dukes for five nights, being in London for Taylor Swift. They never hesitated to give their assistance! The housekeeping staff seemed to visit our room sometimes twice daily to refresh our towels or to turndown our bed and set out slippers for our morning. The location of Dukes is ideal! Wonderful shops, restaurants and attractions are so close! The Green Park Underground station is literally minutes away. We had afternoon tea at the hotel and the service and food was absolutely lovely!

An 18th Century styled hotel tucked away between Green Park and St James's Street in central London. Staff were helpful, assisting me with a couple of things I needed help with during my stay. The continued use of physical keys over electronic key cards is a nice touch. The Dukes is expensive for what it provides, but the expense speaks more to quality than ostentation.

As with many hotels, the twin bed in my room was composed of two single beds stuck together. For whatever reason the single mattresses had a hard edge around them, meaning there was a hard bump running down the centre of the bed, which was very uncomfortable.

A beautiful room. Lovely touches of champagne and Christmas nibbles on arrival. Very friendly and accommodating staff. Spotlessly clean. An ideal location. Compliments to the breakfast staff who were very welcoming and attentive.

I did not understand as a resident why you had to make a reservation for the hotel bar. It is obviously very popular with non-residents but was a little overcrowded and felt like I was practically sitting on top of the next table.

The air of understated buy very genteel hospitality is an outstanding feature of the Dukes. The bar is unrivaled for quality cocktails, especially the classic martinis often called the best in the world. The Drawing Room is a wonderful place to go for that third cup of coffee and to get some work done after breakfast. The afternoon teas there are among the best London has to offer, and the restaurant is also top flight. I have been coming to the Dukes for several decades now, and it never fails to please with each visit being yet another reassurance of the owners' continuing commitment to quality.

Dukes London is tucked away off a side street—a hidden gem. If you want an old world London experience of graciousness and service, then Dukes is for you. We booked a deluxe double room which was spacious, had a large bed with wonderful bedding and a spacious marble bathroom. The on line photos of rooms are a good representation. We live in the USA and this was our second stay at Dukes.

I wish I had packed a charging hub for my devices.

Very nice and helpful personnel. Old hotel, holding the charm of other times, more calm, refined and elegant. The bed was very comfortable, allowing for a very good night sleep. As a special touch, my welcome card was signed by a Romanian hotel employee (Lucica) who recognised I was coming from Romania. I found this very thoughtful, a nice way to make one feel welcome. Breakfast was excellent. ...and don't miss the Martinis at the Dukes Bar.

The air conditioning made some strange noises, but nothing too disturbing (at least for me)

Nice room, the receptionist had read my email and allocated us an easy access ground floor room. Unexpected bottle of Prosecco in the room plus treats both nights in recognition of the King’s Coronation.

The Dukes Bar - it’s run by a different company. One of the waiters was very surly and as though he was doing customers a favour for being there. He said we could have a table but he wanted it back by 4.30, moaned that they’ll be abandoning the dress code - we were all in smart casual clothes but tbh 30 mins after the Royals were on the balcony we and I sure nobody else wanted or needed to get fully changed so they could enjoy a drink.

The bar at Duke's is second to none. It's a joy to watch the staff prepare a cocktail, and this is where Ian Fleming's Vesper cocktail was born, so it's a must (just not more than two or you'll be on the floor!) Duke's is tucked away in a side street, so it's quiet, but in walking distance of Piccadilly circus and The Mall. The staff, as you'd expect, are friendly and attentive, and it has the feel of a small hotel. Rooms are traditionally, but luxuriously furnished, and pretty spacious, and breakfast was excellent - fresh orange, leaf tea, etc. I had mine in my room and there were little details like flowers on the tray.

It's an expensive place to stay, so you expect everything to be spot on, which it is for the most part. Some little extra touches in the room would be good though. The minibar could be filled as a matter of course rather than asking for it. Some fruit would be nice, fresh flowers, etc. Little details that don't cost a lot but elevate a stay at a 5* hotel. And it may not be very environmentally friendly, but to be able nick the little soaps and shampoos is one of the pleasures of staying in a hotel! But you can't when there aren't any :-)

We tend to have a nightcap when we come back in the evening and play a game of chess in the bar for some reason something to do with gambling we were sent out to the lounge on our own very strange!! did not want to be there. We do this in all the hotels we stay at never been a problem before

we was on the 4th floor and it was very quiet. when we got back from the concert we really needed a drink. but due to the bar already being closed they offered to still get it for us. but we realised when checking out that the service charge was actually more expensive than the drinks. but was a lovely hotel and the staff were lovely
