I spent a lot of time searching for “the one” hotel in Central London and Lancaster Hall Hotel was the best choice I didn’t regret. 1) Location is 10/10 - the neighborhood is safe, super close to two tube stations, one of them being Paddington from where you can take trains to airports/other towns. It’s also very close to bus stops going in all directions, so easy to get around! 2) Super clean - the room was cleaned every single day, one of the days they even washed my curtains. It smelled heavenly in the room and they restocked my cookies and tea supplies every day, yum! 3) Staff is 10/10 - the staff is awesome, they are so nice and so helpful 4) Try the cafe in front of the hotel for breakfast and the pub across the street for fish and chips - both were phenomenal. 5) Pharmacy with everything you might need for a short stay is right around the corner, that was really convenient! 6) The bed was comfortable, so were the pillows and blankets I was so impressed with the hotel overall. It was spotlessly clean, smelled so nice (what scent do they use, I wonder?😊) and it was well-maintained. Truly an exceptional experience!

Few small things to keep on mind: 1) It’s really cold in the room at the end of September. Thank goodness I brought some warm clothes to sleep in. They do provide very warm blankets but if you’re walking around the room you feel how cold it is. I’m not sure when exactly the heating season begins in that area but if you’re coming between the warm summer months and the heating season, bring lots of warm sweaters. 2) No mini fridge. That was a bit inconvenient especially with all the amazing pubs and restaurants around as I couldn’t really keep any leftovers. Even despite the cold temperatures and the lack of a mini fridge, I still hope to stay at this hotel again as it’s a rare find in Central London. Great sized rooms for a reasonable price! Highly recommend, you won’t regret!

Breakfast offering was fine just felt that more fruit i.e. a proper fruit salad would be nice. I may be a differing selection of Meats are staying for four days. Don’t think Turkey is a continental meat bagel. And different breads maybe some pancakes also one negative I think you should display the allegiance more effectively by labelling on individual bits but as being a chef I already knew 90% of what was in the products you were offering especially as my wife is in a coeliac

Maybe should think about checking the customers when entering the restaurant for breakfast so that you know that the people that have paid for it are eating it rather than maybe someone just walking off the street.

Cynthia offered a very warm welcome upon our arrival at Reception and engaged in light banter whilst efficiently getting us checked-in The room was perfectly functional and, above all else, spotlessly clean with crisp bedding and plenty of towels. This is a realistically priced, wholesome hotel in a great location... the hotel and staff were way above their price-point.

Needs were that we focused on price when booking but, as a Booking.com 'Genius Discount' recipient I found the reviews and high-score to be justified in stating street noise to be the only detractor. Rooms quite small BUT perfectly adequate for their need.

The staff at reception were very kind and helpful. We had a request to use a refrigerator to store medicine and they were happy to accommodate. All interactions with staff were pleasant, kind, and professional. The room was excellent. Windows were well-insulated and the bed was comfortable. Room was spacious enough, especially given the price and location. It felt very clean, however a couple elements in the bathroom felt dates -- not a problem for us, some hotels are a little older. Unfortunately, we did not try the breakfast, so cannot comment. There are several nice cafes on the same road, so lots of options as backup. The hotel is about a 5-minute walk from Paddington station. We each had two suitcases and the walk was easy enough. Would absolutely stay again!

Breakfast was very good, though I would have liked a greater selection of fresh and/ or tinned fruit- there was very limited choice. Location good for our concert at the Albert Hall; we were able to walk when it was light but took a cab back for safety reasons. The beds were extremely comfortable, something I mentioned when we checked out.

Had asked for a room overlooking the courtyard but they said it hadn't been possible because the hotel was full. I found this disappointing , as we had booked well in advance and there was some noise from the street.

Get a ~£90 price for a cosy (although small) double bed room, so it looks perfect to me (the normal price on booking is over £100). I would recommend that if you want a short stay. Clean, super friendly reception staff, lots of restaurants surrounding the hotel, close to undergrand station (what might be helpful to mention is: Paddington station is not that convenient for travel to Kings Cross as it may take over 10min to navigate in the station, compared with other stations also near Hyde Park, e.g., Notting Hill Gate station, but this should be my own problem).

Bed light too bright.

Very good location, a short walk from Paddington station and Hyde Park. It's a simple and old hotel, you get what you pay for and now more but since we used it only for sleeping it was all we needed. What is good is that it's in a quiet area so we could sleep well. I also liked the small selection of tea in the room which was re-filled every day. The breakfast is simple, for example only boiled egg and not scrambled or fried eggs but again here you get what you pay for 8 GBP.

The hotel is not the newest anymore. The cleaning staff does their best and it was clean but due to the age for example in the bathroom there are some things which seem no longer to be made good looking.

We love this hotel, we return to it every few years, whenever we visit London. It's a warm, quiet, cosy & clean hotel. The staff are always efficient, welcoming & friendly. The breakfast is good & we highly recommend it.

The bathtub needs improvement, as it's a bit high. There's only water from above & no water handle to wash the private parts. An option to have dinner or a sandwich during the day is recommended, for those who want to stay at the hotel.

My hotel room was a really decent size for the cost- and considering I was a solo traveller. The hotel rooms aren’t fancy or luxurious but they are clean and comfortable. The bed was comfortable. The water was hot. There was a radiator that I could control and a window I could open. There was a nice selection of tea bags in the room too. As advertised, there’s no hair dryer or air conditioning which wasn’t a big deal for me but I know it could be for some, but that is reflected in the price. If you want a decent room for a decent price, this is a good call.

The location is very close to the metro. The room was clean and cleaned every day. The room was big for London. There is a luggage room, so we could leave our bags and go out easily.

During our 4 night stay, the towels were changed only on the third day. Every day, the same towels were folded and put back. The room was not quiet; we could hear other people talking, hair dryers, and doors. Rooms on the street side are also noisy.
