Excellent value for the location! This previously unloved Grand Old Lady of a hotel may show signs of age and wear, but she's now in the caring hands of two charming brothers who have recently taken over and are lovingly restoring her to former glory. Yes, there are a few rough edges—but knowing that every penny spent helps fuel their dream makes it easy to overlook them. The warmth, effort, and passion behind the scenes shine through, and we truly admired their dedication. We’d absolutely stay again and look forward to seeing how she continues to blossom!

While there were no tea and coffee facilities in the room—a small addition that always makes a stay more comfortable—I came prepared, so it wasn’t a problem x Tea and coffee were available in the reception.

The location was brilliant, just a short walk from London Marylebone. The staff member on reception was very welcoming and helpful. My room looked like it had recently been refurbished and although there were a few minor things to complete, like the trim round the base of the shower unit, this did not have an impact on my stay. The room was fresh, clean and comfortable. The weather was extremely hot and the addition of a fan in the room was very welcome. There are no breakfast options within the hotel but several very close by, lots of choice there really. I would definitely book this hotel again.

There was a hot drink station and drinking water in reception but I would have liked a kettle and mugs in the room so I could make hot drinks there.

I messed up on my travel plans and so was in London 5 hours before check in and was leaving 10 hours after check in. But the property was VERY VERY cool and let me pay for early and late check out at a really reasonable price for my budget! Also; I’m at a level in my career where I often have meetings that may or may not result in further paid work. So the location and the cost of Somerset House is an absolute godsend of a find. I shall be using them from now on AND I’ll also be sharing the place amongst my colleagues.

Great location and value for money. Very friendly staff and a perfectly good room. Very comfy bed and nice and clean. Great shower pressure and heat! Some aspects of wear and tear and generally showing the age of the property but it didn’t impact my stay. Is an ideal place if you’re looking for a base to explore London, or a one night stay for an event. Great sitting room on the ground floor, free teas and coffees, and fresh water. A beautiful room. Felt very safe as a lone traveller. Hotel is locked from Midnight with key code entry.

A little noisy - could hear people in the room above - but that’s to be expected in a very old property.

The room was good value for money and near to Euston station, on Baker Street. The reception was lovely and the staff were helpful. The room itself had all the core amenities I wanted, and was also quite pleasant. At the price range I paid, I was expecting something much smaller and less airy, but the room I got was spacious, had good lighting, and it was comfortable.

The check in was slightly delayed and when I needed to get in to the hotel late at night my key card didn't work on the door. There were also no glasses in the room so although they had everything else I needed, I wasn't able to get up and grab a glass of water in the night.

Our first impression was the friendliness of the receptionist; we arrived early and were greeted by him, who explained everything to us. The location was a little far from the centre, but close to a café and a supermarket, and there's also a petrol station nearby. All in all, the time we spent in this hotel was pleasant.

What I didn't like are details that I don't need to go into because it was my punctuality, which perhaps won't matter to future guests.

Great location very easily accessible by bus or even on foot. The receptionist was lovely and helpful when needed! Would book again!!!

The view from the room wasn’t the best, but if you’re like us who didn’t spend much time at the hotel then it shouldn’t be an issue! The check in was slightly delayed, but again not a huge issue!

The location was great! Pretty close to Baker street & Marylebone stations. Staff was really helpful and kind to us. They let us check-in early and held our luggage bags on request upon checkout. I would definitely recommend this place if one is looking for a budget friendly stay in central london. ✨

One of the rooms was quite compact and bathrooms in 2 rooms were really tiny, lacked hooks or shelves inside. A little inconvenient i would say. Rest all was great. Also, there's no lift, you gotta use stairs. Could be pain to get your luggage up there. Though these folks were kind enough help us keep them up. :)

I liked the old fashioned decor. It was a lovely stay. The rooms were basic but comfortable. The location is ideal for travel into and out of London. I would definitely stay again in future for the price.

Could do with some updates in paintwork and basic repairs but these issues weren’t in our room.
