I already knew this was a minimalist hotel when I booked, and I took that to be marketing speak for when hotels want to justify doing the bare minimum. However I was extremely pleased with this hotel. The rooms being called cocoons is very appropriate — they do make you feel like you’re in a cocoon, without feeling like you’re cramped at all. The bed was comfortable and the plugs were well placed in relation to the bed, which is always a nice treat. As this was a business trip, it was also nice having good wifi and the reception area that had couches and tables and plug sockets so I did some work there too. This hotel won’t be for everyone because it lacks quite a few standard hotel amenities, but for those of us who never use things like the ironing board, safe, kettle etc, this is perfect. I didn’t need anything anyway but my understanding was that if I did need a hairdryer or whatever, these were available upon request. The staff were also very friendly and helpful and the local businesses around the hotel, such as the coffee shops on the same block, were really nice. There’s also a Waitrose 2 mins away, Greenwich town centre is about 5 mins and there’s a bus stop right outside so travel was not an issue at all. As I said, this hotel isn’t for everyone, but for me and my needs, it was perfect, and I’m glad I discovered it as I will definitely be staying here again when I’m next down in London for work.

It wasn’t that much of an issue at all as there is very reliable and fast wifi, but my room did not get any phone signal so I would not have been able to make any calls from my room

The room was very simple but exactly what we needed for staying a few days with a very comfortable bed, simple facilities and good location to the train station and bus routes. The staff was very helpful, and answered any questions we had especially with transportation and regarding our stay.

We couldn’t fault a thing for us it was ideal. Though it was different than what we were used to, without having storage or even things like a tv or hair dryer, we had a busy schedule so we spent little time in the hotel and think it would be perfect for short stays. I think having available hair dryers to rent and more information in the rooms regarding dry cleaning, etc would be helpful. The staff were very helpful though and offered us any help we needed. It also would have been nice to have the beds dressed/bedding changed during our stay.

Great location and the rooms are spotless and very quiet. Really liked the Japanese style minimalist approach (may not be for everyone), no distractions or clutter, slept like a baby! Looks like a lot of thought has gone into designing the rooms. Its just a short 10 min walk into Greenwich and DLR. Hope they don't change too much, at this price this is one of the best stays in London I've had. Looking at booking again in a few months time. ..and the staff are super helpful!

nothing really - the lack of TV or storage seemed unusual at first but very quickly got used to this, and more than made up for by how comfortable the rooms are, slept amazingly. The addition of a small flexible reading light would be good

I stayed here for almost a week and found it to be a good place overall. The rooms are nicely sized, very clean, and though there’s no mobile signal inside, the Wi-Fi is reliable. The reception staff are helpful, and check-in took about five minutes. There’s no hair dryer, but they provide a few coat hangers, a full-length mirror at the entrance, and towel hooks. Shampoo and soap are also provided. The power outlets are standard UK sockets with at least four USB ports nearby, which was convenient. The room door locks with a magnetic card, though the bathroom door doesn’t have a lock. The room is well-lit, not claustrophobic, and has automatic air ventilation.

The room was simple but for a quick stay like our city break perfect. Hotel is really quiet and as to young girls traveling we felt very safe. The staff- amazing , always ready to help. From reception to housekeeping everybody was really nice. Rooms does not have windows but are well-ventilated. Hotel is very clean everywhere smelled nice. Reception lobby is beautiful and you can drink your caffe there in the morning🥰 Rooms don’t have iron or hair dryer but if you ask staff they will be happy to give you what you need, for free-you just gotta give 15 pounds deposit.

Very nice room. Mattress was really soft, loved it. Neighbourhood was pleasant. And staff was so nice and helped me with checking in. Overall the experience was great.

Room is really small with no windows. But because I traveled alone this time and stayed only for two nights it didn’t bother me at all. I thought it was actually cozy. But if staying for longer it would probably get a bit uncomfortable. Also the bed(basically only a mattress) is really low, so if you have any mobility issues or anything that prevents you from bending down, knee issues etc., think twice before booking it. But if all of this doesn’t bother you, it’s a really nice place to stay at. The only thing I would suggest is, it would be nice having at least a hairdryer. A lot of people staying there are most likely from countries that doesn’t have uk plug, therefore can’t really use their own hair dryers, I tried using mine and broke my uk adapter that way.

It was well situated for our needs, close to Cutty Sark, the Thames and lots of cafes, supermarkets and pubs The room was quiet and clean, perfect temperature Dimmable lights, switches accessible from bed and near the door. Complimentary discounts at local gym and coffee shop Staff were very helpful and courteous Deep from the front desk very kindly offered a complimentary early check in, which was a pleasant surprise

Only thing to add would be clothing rack/ shelf as the three pegs were not enough to hang coats and clothing

Well as an avid traveller i have stayed in many rooms and hotels around the world so for what it was it was good. Problem is i found out the concept for this hotel is not what i usually stay at but for this particular trip it was good. Surprisingly comfortable beds even though it was mattresses on the floor so for elderly persons i don't think its adequate as its difficult to get up from.

For longer holidays its a minimalistic approach to comfort so i would not recommend families to stay there but for short term stays it was good. Great location and everything is new. Special mention for staff who were excellent in their attention to clients.

I would also like to commend a staff member named Deep, who was particularly friendly and professional throughout our visit. We had the pleasure of interacting with him on several occasions, including the morning of our departure. His warm and welcoming demeanor made a lasting impression—he is truly an asset to the establishment. I would not hesitate to return in the future and would gladly recommend this property to others seeking quality accommodation.

Love zedwell their rooms are basic but perfect. Literally just a bathroom and matress on the floor but it works. The bed is so comfortable. The staff are always amazing, approachable and happy to help with anything. If possible they will try get you into your room early and they don’t rush you to be out as soon as your supposed to check out.

Only negative to this one in Greenwich was the coffee. There is no kitchen in the room but the zedwell in Tottenham court at least provided you with a free coffee bar in the reception which I think is perfectly reasonable for the money you are paying and we’re happy with the basic room. Coffee is not an expensive expanse for the hotel. But at Greenwich there’s a machine which charges you £3 a coffee. And the coffee is way below standard I don’t think the machine even had any milk left as my latte came out black.
