We paid £540 for a superior king room for three nights&four days, breakfast included and a mini bar in the room! In the mini bar you got 2 single serve of bottles of each red and white wine each was 14% I think, which was restocked daily along with 2 bottles of beer, 2 bottles of water&2 bottles of Pepsi. The bed was extremely comfortable, the water pressure on the shower is well worth getting up in the morning. Standing under it for 1 minute just gets rid of all the stress or worries you have. The shower just hits different. The outside patio, with a glass or 4 of the complimentary wine with a good book in the sun, just makes trip worth while. You can pay £8.50 for 100 balls and an iron golf club(not into golf so unsure of the proper names!) for the driving range which provided me and my partner an hour and half filled of laughter with how bad we was at golfing, this experience we shared together was amazing. All of the other golfers around us didn’t judge us on how bad we were, they just offered us tips on how to stand, to practice swing before you hit the ball and offered us golf balls out of their own bucket to get the hang of it which was really nice and made us feel very welcome. The staff at the hotel were very attentive and happy to help with any enquiries we had. The food we had was delicious, worth every penny, buying the bottle of wine with your food at £20-£40 a bottle makes more sense than buying a glass at £10-£20. I’m not sure just because we’re young we go the extra mile. Me&my partner spent our 3 year anniversary here and it was made extremely special for us and we can’t wait to return, for the friendly staff! We hope to make our next trip for our 3&1/2 year anniversary just because of how much closer it brought us. It really is a special experience, wish we could return sooner but working for NHS makes it hard to get the time off, is the only thing stopping us!

Under the dresser could have been a little cleaner but we are not fussy on that short of stuff! We enjoyed our long weekend there. However there was a crushed eye shadow shade under there, but again nothing that can’t be a quick fix!

Beautiful setting and building. Welcoming staff and lovely ambience. Very good breakfast but dinners were average. All the restaurant staff were friendly and efficient. Free meals for children aged four and under.

My first room allocation was very disappointing. It was on the lower ground floor with no view, very dark and overlooking another room. The only windows with an opening were both broken and would not open or close properly. After returning to reception I was allocated another room on the second floor with a partial view and not so dark. My family who I travelled with also had to change rooms due to mould in their bathroom.

Stunning location & beautiful hotel building. Most staff were lovely & helpful. We thought breakfast was good & well organised.

Found the room small and very basic & no aircom or fridge/ mini bar. Our window didn’t open properly and it was a very hot room for us with our dog this being 3rd floor! But maintenance did repair it the window and more air came through. Our room needed more attention to detail on cleaning and furnishings very tried. Perhaps a supervisor should do a room check that rooms are completely clean. Outside grounds are so beautiful but spoiled by cigarette end all over the patio/ terrace area. And need a good sweep up and feel in this day and age there should be an area for the people who wish to smoke.!

Good hotel located within easy reach of Norwich area. Situated alongside a golf course the hotel grounds were very nice and the whole hotel and surrounding area was spotlessly clean.

Main courses at Dinner! These were all a bit baffling as they choices were all a bit ‘bar food selections’ it felt like. None of the 4 of us had a good meal and my burger (on a good hotel main dinner menu?!) was burnt as was the bacon on the bap, obviously sitting under grill and heat lamps for a long time. Our experiences on first night of 2 were so impacting that one of us only had 2 starters in the second night as these were all excellent and diverse. This lack of expanded menu and dried food experience is in-necessary in what was otherwise a really good hotel and the breakfasts and dinner menu starters were really good, so what happened to the Brasserie Main menu? Weird, and spoilt an otherwise Very Good rating from is.

After initially being disappointed with the room allocated to us, on making a complaint we were given an upgrade to a beautiful, family room with a small terrace. This room was perfect for our needs and we enjoyed our stay. We had dinner one evening, which was delicious. Service was prompt and courteous. We liked the pool area, which was clean and fairly quiet and my husband enjoyed a very good deep tissue massage in the health centre.

The room we were originally allocated was dark with a very small window and no view, being at the back of the hotel, overlooking the bins. I did not feel that this room was value for money. We also didn't like having to use two lifts - one to go down a floor, along several corridors and then another to go up two floors to the room. This was very inconvenient and several guests we spoke to on our journeys around the hotel commented on how confusing they found the maze of corridors.

Breakfast choice excellent service good, Lounge restaurant some staff not very welcoming, However we had a exceptional service from Hope she is a very efficient host and made us feel very welcome with attention to detail, Hope was always cheerful and made sure all our needs met including our granddaughter to whom looked forward to going to the Lounge to show Hope her pretty new dress, Mildred the Crocodile and treasures of her stay including her plaster from cutting her foot in the pool.

A little more attention on the maintenance to the leisure area especially the inside pool tiles my granddaughter cut her foot in the pool where a tile was missing, it was a deep cut which I requested a plaster from front desk and i filled in your accident book, I did not have my glasses and was more concerned with her welfare than thinking of writing a report, it is still a sensitive issue as it could have been a disaster had it happen to myself as I suffer from diabetes.

Parking was easy. All of the impressive buildings were well maintained. Rooms were a good size, clean and with comfy beds. We had booked three rooms and were close together as requested. All staff were pleasant, friendly and professional. We were nervous when we saw the traffic light advice for breakfast times but we never had to wait even when it was busy, with staff working hard to make sure all was well. Our evening meal was very enjoyable - good service and no pressure to hurry. During the day leisure staff were excellent and the pool great. Our golfers really enjoyed the course and driving range. The snooker table in the clubhouse was a welcome bonus. With good weather we spent time relaxing on the large terrace listening to the birdsong. A shopping trip into Norwich was easy taking only about 15 minutes.

It took a little longer than expected for lunchtime meals to arrive in the bar but this seemed to be a delay in the kitchens rather than the fault of the bar staff.

All staff that we interacted with were friendly, professional and helpful. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. Public areas very nicely decorated and kept. House itself is impressive, and the setting beautiful. Spa and health centre looked good although we didn't actually use them. Breakfast was good, nice fruit and yoghurt, good selection of foods. We ate once in the restaurant, nice wine, decent food.

Our room was a bit dated, although clean and comfortable. Possibly due to renovation work as breakfast was moving about, but the coffee was not great, until we discovered the coffee machine which was better.

The food was really nice. It was fresh, tasty and just lovely. Most of the staff were friendly and so helpful where some were not friendly, but not rude just a little less friendly, not the end of the world. The bar terrace was lovely especially as the sun was out, great location. The hotel itself in general was nice had a great feel about it. I would definitely go back. It room was nice, clean and quint. It was in the manor itself and in the attic. I did live the little touch of stone beer and wine in the fridge which was complimentary, that was a nice touch. The leisure facilities was nice and clean.

I understand and appreciate they have rooms for Dog's, but it may be worth having them on the ground floor, or closer. We to put 12 yr black lab and we had to get in a lift, go up to the 2nd floor, then walk up 2 flights off stairs. The lift was a little slow, not an issue, but when your dog is busting for a pee it can be an issue. Being closer will be easier. The outside terrace was a little messy, I.e fag butt's every where and it just looked a little untidy and could do with some attention. There was a few cobwebs in the room but wasn't a train smash. All in all, it was a great stay we loved it and definitely would stay again that is for sure.
