The location was great! Close to shopping and restaurants. The hotel was clean and has a 24hr shop which I liked. The free shuttle service within a 3 mile radius was fantastic! Shuttle driver Sergio was awesome! The staff were very friendly and helpful. I liked the kitchenette which had a full sized refrigerator. We will surely be staying here again!

Sonesta is a great value, the room is huge and complete. All appliances and amenities make easy to stay there. We cooked, we enjoyed family time at the sofa watching tele etc. In front of the hotel there´s a great park with kids area, running area and a water park. We loved our stay and recommend. They receive packages for guests and have laundry.

The only negative point is the air condition that is in the main room and the room where is the bed has a passage for it, does not get very cold. But for us was ok as the main air kept the entire place cool.

There are two Sonesta Hotel near the Miami Airport, if you visit Miami for the first time, make sure you take the shuttle bus for this one at Bus Zone 15 in the airport, don’t make the same mistake we made by taking another shuttle bus at Bus Zone 23 which brings you to the wrong Sonesta Hotel.

The room was comfortable and modern. Had everyything you needed for an extended stay or short term. All easily accessible on one floor. Gym, washing facility, convenience store items all in convenient and easily accessible location.

Housekeeping staff that I encountered spoke absolutely no English. The housekeeping staff that I asked to change a sheet which had something red on it when first checking in spoke no english and she seemed grumpy and bothered that I requested the sheet change. Communication was tedious trying to get her to understand what I wanted done.

Unfortunately, this hotel does not serve breakfast, but I was aware of this in advance. However, it was a really pleasant stay. I chose Doral especially to reach the malls and Sonesta Simply Suites was a wonderful choice. The shuttle driver Sergio was extremely accommodating and kind in making drop offs and pick ups to the Mall once there was no airport run. Sonesta Simply Suites offers a free shuttle service to Miami International Airport and that was a definite plus in my selecting it. The reception staff I meet on duty, Julie and Ramiro, were very helpful, and polite and a great asset to the hotel. I enjoyed my very clean and spacious room a lot, and appreciated the free laundry services available. There was a small pool and gym, but I did not make use of either during my stay.

Overall, a very pleasant and safe stay, but there is no restaurant or cafe on the compound or within easy walking distance though snacks were available for sale. However all rooms have an ample kitchette, and knowing that in advance I was able to organise quite comfortably. A coffee machine in the lobby would be a nice addition. But k

The hotel was updated so well, it was very clean and had some great amenities. The pool area was adorable and the pool was super warm and relaxing to hang out in. The location and price was awesome and affordable.

We had issues with the staff that was manning the front desk at night. We were looking for ice and she kept telling us we had an ice machine in our freezer in our room but we did not at all there wasn’t even a bucket anywhere to catch us let alone an ice maker. She then was reluctant to give us ice from her back room. We were never even bothering her super late, always around 9 or 10pm when we would get back after dinner. Every time we asked her something (check out time, how to pay for things in the lobby, etc) she would give us a lot of attitude like she did not want to do her job.

Nice place near the airport in kind of a business/industrial area. Room was spacious with a large desk and a full kitchen with dishware/cookware (for when you don't want to eat out or when you don't just want to nuke leftovers). It's away from most of the interesting places if you're in town as a tourist (Little Havana, the zoo, etc.), but not a big problem if you have a car. There's not much in the way of food (snacks for sale in the lobby, maybe), but there are some pretty good eateries a few minutes' drive away.

Not really dislikes, more neutral and just worth mentioning: as other reviews have said, there are usually some work trucks in the parking lot. There's still a decent amount of parking, though. Also, elevators were unavailable (under maintenance) during my stay. Gotta do it some time, I get it, and it was only a minor inconvenience for me, but I didn't have a lot of luggage.

quiet, clean, ample parking close to doors, full sized refrigerator with real freezer, stove top. toaster, microwave, coffeemaker, the 4 cup coffee bombs in small coffeemaker make for very full bodied tasty coffeealways wishing i could have ice cream to stay frozen, and a toaster to freshen sandwiches instead of eating stale, or ruining bread in microwave, no breakfast included, but that's reflected in the very affordable price ( compared to most. Plumbing and basins all clean and work and drain properly, a must for one who loves bubble bathes. hotels in Miami. )very large desktop/ counter space with drawers and shelves, comfy lounger and desk chair, bed and pillows good quality, not. lumpy, i recommend it. good value for the costs.
