We did breakfast the last two mornings and it was great. We talked to two of your front desk folks and they were nothing less than exceptional. One - who was working the evening of our arrival - gave us a lot of local pickleball info and overall friendly after a long day traveling. The morning person helped us with the bathroom shower head issue. Terrific. The location is nice and quiet too with some great running and walking areas.

The shower head and curtain rod was broken when we arrived, it was pretty obvious both were an issue and should of been addressed before hand. But were fixed when we pointed this out.

Very easy check-in. Everything was sent to my phone. Code for main door of hotel and code for my room. Everything in the room was clean and they really had everything you would need. The breakfast was amazing! They had everything you would need.

The main thing I didn't like, was the smell. It wasn't unpleasant per say, it was just too strong of a scent for my liking. You would expect an "older/musty" smell from such an old hotel, but it wasn't bad at all. It was the florally scent/air freshener used throughout the hotel. I am sensitive to these types of scents. Other than that, the hotel was great!

1) We loved THE STAFF working at this hotel. We were there for 4 nights, 5 days and the ladies (Cathy Burns, Jennifer Freeman and Kathy Reid to name a few) working there were amazing. They treated us like family helping us with Uber, giving us free bags of chips, giving us information about the shopping in the area and making sure that we were comfortable. 2) This is a historical place, the type that we love when compared to the ''square boxes''. 3) The breakfast is included and it offers A LOT of variety and the food is excellent; also we ordered room service and the food was delicious. 4) The room was spacious enough with a mini-fridge and a table with two chairs. 5) The pool was looking clean and the lounge chairs around it were inviting. 5) We were allowed to have breakfast ON THE DAY OF ARRIVAL which was very nice since we were early. Also tea and coffee are offered all day long, free of charge. 6) Our room was ready by 11:00 AM which was wonderful on the first day since we had to be out of our cruise ship very early. 7) The television in our room was new and had many channels. 8) The place felt very secure and was very clean. 9) There were reminders of early tourism days in Saint-Petersburg everywhere in the sitting room and patrons spoke to one another contributing to a friendly atmosphere, enhanced by the dogs allowed. 10) The cost was very reasonable for all the amenities and the great service.

1) We wished that there were more activities in the area; there are a few restaurants not too far away but few options. 2) The windows did not opened and the air conditioned-heating system is quite old so the air was stuffy in our bedroom.

Breakfast was lovely. Lots of good options, fresh fruit, waffles, omelettes, etc. I discovered coffee service, tea and hot chocolate was available in the salon 24/7, although it was only promised until 10:00 p.m.. Room service was also available, modestly priced and tasty. Multiple dining rooms, plenty of seating, real cutlery and china, not plastic or styrofoam or paper. The hotel has historic charm and grace. The staff are very kind and attentive. There is a park across the street and lovely beaches a few minutes away. There is a large front lawn, a nice pool and a veranda with rockers facing the water and sunset. The hotel has a private parking lot, with plenty of spaces, just opposite the front door.

A guest laundry would have been useful.

Liked everything immensely ! especially immaculately clean attentive professional staff historical architecture outstanding most varied n delicious breakfast loved iced mineral water always available in lobby! Would stay in veranda rooms next time ! Very convenient parking !It was truly outstanding ! A hidden gem ! Lovely memories

Veranda hours for general guests not available for early morning only for veranda rooms but understand why it’s restricted to give veranda room guests total quiet ! This shows the hotel ‘s focus is what’s best for each Guest!!!

Lovely, characterful hotel with efficient, helpful and friendly staff. We had a really comfortable and spacious room with two beds and two baths. There are plentiful supplies of complimentary toiletries, and the buffet breakfast has everything you could wish for from fresh fruit to waffles and everything in-between.

The only negative is that the pool is right by the highway and therefore extremely noisy.

The old world charm, location

Lack of room decor. Primitive add-ons for microwave. NO accessible outlets, minimal outlets. Could use a small table or cabinet in bathroom. Paper towels near microwave would be great. Access to bottled water should be a given. A change up in breakfast buffet would be nice. The food is decent (except the hash browns and sausage) and plentiful but it’s the same every day. If you’re staying multiple days , it loses appeal.

Breakfast was very good and certainly added to the value of staying there. The location was close enough to the beach for quick access (10 min drive) but also far enough away to be quiet at night. I really appreciated the historic feel to the hotel with the modern updates - it was a good blend of the two. They also used contactless check-in and check-out which was quick and easy!

The pool was okay - modest + small. It would suffice for a short term stay. The free parking lot filled up quickly at night - harder to find a spot late at night.

Fabulous hotel. Clean, light, airy and excellent staff. Amazing breakfast. Comfortable room. Nothing to dislike! Also there was a craft beer bar about 200m from the hotel - perfect! It became our staple for food and drink as there wasn't anything else around.

The location. St Petes in Spring Break is not the place to be if you're looking for a quiet, interesting time. Every car park seemed to be full so we didn't really see anything of the place as we couldn't park up. Nothing around the hotel apart from a craft beer bar (see liked).

Such a beautiful and very quaint original hotel, steeped in history. The staff are simply exceptional, did not get his name but the guy at breakfast was brilliant nothing was too much trouble and mega friendly. Rooms are simple but very clean, nice bathroom and bed was good, overall we were very happy with our stay and would 100% stay again.

The traffic noise was a little bad at times but nothing we could or would complain about just one of those things, in the main the hotel met all our expectations
