The shades in room 527 Le in too much light at night. The breakfasting have been better. The $25 per day facility fee. I dislike these junk fees.

The receptionist that checked us in was so nice and attentive. She made us feel very welcomed and mentioned how we also get the free breakfast the next morning.

Price, location, clean facility inside and out. Staff friendly and courteous. The stay included breakfast, and they offered complimentary happy hour 5-7pm beer and wine. I would definitely stay here again. There's a grocery store, a variety of restaurants and bars and club nearby, including the Riverwalk. Everything is walking distance and Uber/Lyft picks you up/drops you off right out front - very convenient. They also have an ATM in their lobby, and offer complimentary bottled water.

I wish they had a pool and wish rooms had a microwave. However, they do have a microwave on the 6th floor for use.

Really liked the location and the employees that greeted us when we arrived and left for outings were great! The man that checked us in was so kind and helpful!!

Had an issue with our bill that I questioned and couldn't get an explanation. I spoke to 3 employees and a manager. One employee actually agreed that we should not have been charged twice. I was basically told (by the manager) that the bill was correct and that I should just read the itemized receipt. It would have been nice if someone could have at least tried to explain all of the "extra charges" and "incidentals". Evidently, "If the incidentals don't get refunded, that is when I should be reaching out with questions", instead of being concerned about the duplicate charges on my credit card.

Kinzie Hotel – Downtown Chicago My stay at the Kinzie Hotel was absolutely awesome. The nightly happy hour from 5 to 7 is such a cool touch — not something you find at most downtown hotels. And yes, they even serve breakfast every morning, which is a huge plus. The location is unbeatable, right in the heart of everything. The staff was outstanding, and I have to give a special shout-out to housekeeping — seriously, some of the most pleasant, happy people you’ll ever meet. The rooms were spotless, and the beds were incredibly comfortable. I’ll definitely be staying here again. Highly recommend — way to go, Kinzie!

Great location with tons of great restaurants within close walking distance. Also very close to the subway stations and Chicago Riverwalk. The room, beds, and pillows were all very comfy. Friendly staff and housekeeping.

I wouldn’t classify the breakfast even as “continental.” It was more like school cafeteria choices and always the same. The only filtered water station available was in the gym. There should also be an option to decline daily housekeeping for those who choose to skip it. We had to leave the privacy hangar on the door the entire stay and returned every day to a note under the door from housekeeping. Many other hotels offer the option to decline this service at check-in or with a door hangar.

The bed was very comfortable and the room was spacious. The location was also perfect, close to a pharmacy and close to bus/train. There were lot of restaurants nearby and you were also really close to tourist spots like the magnificent mile, boat architecture tour drop off was 10 minute walk away, portillos etc.

The lobby was under construction so their check-in area was a makeshift desk inside the lobby of an office building next door so that was a little weird. Only one elevator was working so it took a while during busy times but never extremely long, at most it was a 6-7 minute wait. Also, the windows in our rooms definitely needed to be cleaned from the outside.

Perfect location in Rivernorth, walkable to the Loop in a couple of mins. Really nice neighbourhood with lots of good bars & restaurants walkable. Right by all the sights. Each night they include a 5-7pm “happy hour” in a room upstairs that includes 2 free drinks (beer or wine) per guest. Staff there are really friendly and chatty. Room rates felt reasonable compared to other places we have stayed in the US recently. We would definitely stay again.

It’s all quite dated - looks like a hotel from the early 2000s that hasn’t been updated since. But very comfortable and great location. The breakfast was nothing special. Totally functional and a good way to save money rather than going out but don’t expect much.

I disliked that there was only one operating elevator, so wait time was kind of long. We were only on the second floor, therefore we could have taken the stairs but we were told that you could risk being locked in if you use the staircase. The room seemed a little outdated especially the thermostat system, however it looked like they were starting construction to upgrade. I really liked the location of this hotel and the convenience of having most things in walking distance. The room and other facilities in the hotel were clean and kept very clean. The staff was very kind throughout our stay, they greeted us every single time we came in and left the hotel. They were attentive and ready to help anytime.

The bed was comfortable and everything outside the bathroom was extremely clean. spacious, and tidy. (The bathroom was also mostly extremely clean, with a few small exceptions listed below.) The shower was AMAZING - double nozzle with strong water pressure and great temperature settings. The shampoo and conditioner were also high quality. We got what we asked for in the "extra requests" (a room further away from the elevator with low foot traffic). We didn't have a window with views but they were floor-to-ceiling windows and we had a lot of privacy since they faced window-less buildings, so we got a lot of natural light. The staff was friendly. The hotel breakfast was decent. We didn't use the gym but walked in and the equipment all looked clean and decent.

One of the towels had some very small stains on it, so we just shared the other towel. The bathroom was mostly clean, but the bathtub had some lint on the corner. I would strongly recommend bringing earplugs since we could hear firetrucks and other traffic pretty clearly. We weren't able to turn off the AC/heat vent that directly faces the bed (and blows air no matter what temperature you set).
