We stayed in a river view room which was very nice. The back of the hotel faces the El Train - BE IN THE KNOW!

The bathroom door was annoying - heavy with automatic closure. There was no ventilation in the bathroom and no non-slip mats were given for the tub. The tub was slippery and dangerous. Housekeeping was skimpy on the amenities; we called every day for extra towels. Given the heat wave Chicago was experiencing we wanted to use the pool. The hotel has an indoor pool; however, the temperature of the enclosed area was above 100 degrees so it was unhealthy and impossible to use the pool.

Location and the cleanliness of the rooms was great! Beds were comfortable and the staff was very nice.

Our bathroom had a delayed hot water running. The sink did not have proper hot water running, just a bit warm. And the shower took forever for the hot water. Moreover, the valet parking staff can be better. My car had the smell of weed after it was given back to us. Clearly someone was smoking in it which was not a pleasant experience.

The room on the 5th floor had a great view across the river and a comfortable settee at the window. The bed was very good and the room well styled. There was a fridge. A morning swim in the pool was delightful - a beautiful space with glazed roof and sides. It was easy to access with the room key and no hassles.

The roof top bar was noisy and the ID checking on entry seemed unnecessary. The deck was closed because of the weather. Generally the hotel was styled in dark grey colours, a bit gloomy in the corridors. The breakfast was ridiculously expensive, as was the cost of the room, which it seems was raised because of the Chicago Marathon.

Bed mattresses, sheets, comforters, towels are excellent. A few Pillows need upgraded by adding high quality feather ones.

Bathroom door needed WD40 to stop annoying squeaking. Upon request it was fixed. Need a grab bar to go in or out of the tub. Hair conditioner bottle ran out of liquid. They should have clear bottles to see if enough liquid is in there. Quality of food in Staytiin restaurant is poor.

Very good concierge John recommended us very delicious restaurants for dinner. As we very celebrating the 30th anniversary, we were surprised with a bottle of Champagne in our room from which had a superb view on the Chicago River and to the impressive skyline. For sure, one of the best situated hotel in Chicago Down town.

Very comfortable in the Jr suite with room to move around. It had a king bed, a chair, a couch, a TV, a desk, a microwave, a mini fridge, a closet, a restroom, two windows, one window being really big. It was nice that it had a couch to watch TV or relax without having to use the bed or the only chair most rooms would have. It also had a small desk if you wanted to do any work or even use it for a table to eat in the room. The location was great and walking distance to many areas we wanted to visit. It was also right on the riverwalk, which was nice. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The bellhops specifically were really helpful going above and beyond doing more than just handling our luggage.

The restroom was subpar for being in a suite. The tub spout was loose, the drain area had some small stains, and the faucet set instructions for hot and cold water was backward. The mini fridge didn't work and had a bad smell when you opened it.

A very nice hotel with a good vibe. Excellent location on the river and close to so many things. The bed was great and room was tidy and clean.

The only downer was the aircon in the room didn’t function very well. I wanted the room cooler but it took forever to cool to my comfort level. This however was not a huge issue as everything else ticked the boxes.

I like the service at the check in/check out counters. Especially when I checked out, the man who attended to me was very helpful. He made sure I got all the privileges given to me by the hotel upon checked in was credited. He even tried to enroll me at Marriot Bonvoy. The the extra mile of service was impressive.

our view was spectacular. Small view of the river, and chicago sign. we were on the 14th floor so a good vantage point. OUr room had a sofa which we requested, glad we did, had a bit extra room.

the taxes seem to be over the top these days especially in the cities. the taxes make it so much more.

The hotel is very lovel and the location is fabulous. We had a view of the river and it was amazing! We had some issues the first night, but the staff immediately corrected it and gave us breakfast vouchers as an apology. Will definitely stay here again.
