Great location, parking and the check-in process was easy. Staff is very friendly. Good hotel for families. They had all day activities for the kids, including an ice show that was entertaining. The outdoor pool and access to the beach is great. Indoor pool is a nice size. Restaurants and bars on site, and tons of restaurants nearby. They also had an arcade for the kids and a little store on site to pick up any last minute things/shop for souvenirs.

The hallways and rooms could be updated. The AC in our room had a smell that kind of smelled like the vents needed to be changed. We had to ask a few times for towels. But they came eventually. The pull out couch was not very comfortable as the mattress was really worn. There was also a bit of a wait for the elevators.

We loved the snack stand in the atrium, having the grill and bar right as you get off the beach, and we just love that there is so much to do and is very family oriented. I’ve been staying here since I was a kid in the 80s and always brought my family as an adult.

The beds were pretty uncomfortable and The noise between rooms. We had a family next to us with 2 parents and 4 kids who were playing, screaming, laughing, slamming microwave door, toilet seat, and doors into the late night as late as 2:30am. There was a lot of yelling and screaming from kids playing as well as crying. Parents were also yelling very loudly at the kids and was just very hard to sleep.

Helpful and prompt responses from staff to get my balcony door open. Beautiful beach location and great service and food and drinks at the outdoor bar. Room was clean and well stocked.

My room was VERY damp. When I got in the bed the sheets were damp and cool so it felt sticky and the towels neatly hung in the bathroom were also damp. Water droplets were forming on the bathroom ceiling. I think the room needs a dehumidifier. Room 351. I must say that my slightly wrinkled clothes that I hung in the closet got nice and straight (though damp) from the room’s high humidity.

I loved the hot tub and pool and easy beach access! The staff were all super friendly and helpful! Room service was amazing as well and kept the room spotless as well as fresh towels, linens, and even little plastic cups for drinking every day! I also love that there is a bus stop right across the street, so if you want to go out for the evening it makes traveling around town very convenient and it drops you back off right I. Front of the hotel! This was our second year in a row staying at the carousel and we will absolutely be back next year! We love it there!

There is nothing that I don’t like about the carousel. It is the best hotel that I have stayed at in Ocean city! I will continue to stay at the carousel!

Our go to location for the yearly family beach trip. Between the easy beach access, indoor and outdoor pools, and the ice rink, our family always finds plenty of activities to keep everyone busy!

Had a less than pleasant experience with the Reef restaurant. One person in our party ordered the chicken gnocchi, except it was served without the gnocchi. When I spoke to the manager, she didn’t seem concerned since the kitchen “remade” it the correct way. Was a bit disappointed in her lack of hospitality.

We have been coming there for well over 15 years with our family. The value and convenience to the beach are awesome. Having activities for the kids is great. We were happy they brought back the iceskating show. Last year we were disappointed that we could see the show.

The resort has become dated. The room we were in had an odor, broken door, and seemed not as clean as previous years. When housekeeping came, they failed to give us toilet paper and towels 1 day after taking our dirty towels(took 2 and left 2). So the next day only gave us 1/2 of the needed towels as they gave what they took that day(2 towels) and again the same the next day. I am aware that it was an error on the housekeeping team. Thankfully, we had extra beach towels that we brought with us, or we would not have been able to all shower.

We had an excellent view of the ocean from our 4th floor balcony. The chairs on the balcony were comfortable. We visited in the off season. The staff was very friendly. We enjoyed a meal during happy hour at the reef restaurant, great value and the burgers were great. My kids had fun in the heated indoor pool and in the arcades.

We had hoped the pool would have been open earlier. The pool hours were only from 4 - 9 during off season. The bar tender was not friendly.

Loved the whole place in general! Great atmosphere and the rooms were very nice and comfortable. It was clean too! The balcony with beach/ocean front view is amazing. So beautiful and loved the sounds of the ocean through our screen backdoor. Loved swimming in the pools and the private beach is so nice as well! Everyone was pleasant (staff and guests!). Very family friendly for our 6, 3, and 2 year olds! The kids loved our trip so much and so did we!

Only flaw I can really think of is parking. If you wanna take a quick trip to the grocery store or just anywhere, good luck trying to find a parking spot when you come back. Many people parked over the lines which made literally all of the few available parking spots too tight.

Many activities for the kids. 2 pools , pirate ship playground and many families. Also they provide guests with beach chairs free of charge.

The inside pool was full of mold so lots of cleaning needs to happen to avoid the kids from getting foot fungus . Also, the rooms with kitchenets were are not very well designed. It tooks a while to figure out where to place the microwave in order to open the door. We had to get rid of the coffee machine in order to use the microwave.

Everything was conveniently there, the restaurants were delicious and the beach was right there. The rooms were a good size too.

The building was in need of some TLC, the curtains in our room looked like stuff was spilled all over them, the toilet seat wasn't attacked securely and it ran continuously. The pools and hot tub were in need of a redo for sure and also each time we went to the pools there were never enough towels, thankfully we brought our own.
