We were impressed with the cleanliness of the apartment and were so glad to have a first floor, especially for my 87-year-old mother. Location was amazing! Plenty of room and beds for 7 adults - us, our four teenagers/young adults, and my mom. The price was so great and we definitely got the value for our money. The staff was wonderful, friendly, and accommodating in every way!

After seeing the mixed reviews, I was prepared to have to make the place feel clean ourselves – but I really didn’t need to. We felt the place was cleaned with great care.

This building is 100 years old, and that's what I love most! It's like an old beach house feel. The staff here are one of a kind, and they are always up to help or even make conversation. We always look forward to seeing the people at the front desk. I can't remember his name, but he has been there forever, and he is so unique and interesting to chat with. unfortunately its this was his last year, but i wish him the best of luck with his future endeavor. The maintenance manager, Tommy, knows all the original and hidden gems of OC and is so easygoing. He makes your vacation feel like home or that you have known him forever. Every year, when our vacation is over, we always hate to leave. The best part of our yearly vacation is getting to know the staff. They open us up to things that we would have never found on our own. The building is old, yes. It's not a resort! But trust me, you will have an experience you can't get anywhere else. For the building, being as old as it is the 3 bedroom apartment we were upgraded to was spacious, clean, and comfortable. We hope to come back to majestic next year and any other year it's still there :)

I was sad that the apartment we originally booked was out of service because the view on the 5th floor is absolutely breathtaking.

I liked the location this hotel was great right in the center of the bored walk the staff were very friendly and accommodating for our needs

Unfortunately if you have not booked a stay this year you will not have a chance to book a stay at this hotel in this building they are demolitioning at the end of the season to build a larger hotel it was a very Quaint and saddisfying stay felt right at home this hotel is not the fanciest hotel you could stay In but I think where it lacks in elegance and luxury it makes up for in being a charming little hotel with a warm considerate caring staff that helped us make wonderful memory's . when the new hotel opens in 2026 I will be returning to the majestic to see the updated version I just hope the stay at the new hotel is as warm and inviting with the wonderful staff as it was in the old modest building of the Majestic hotel that helped my family make fond memory's

We absolutely love the beach. We always want a room facing the ocean with a balcony. We love the location the most. The air conditioning is great, the rooms were clean, the extra beds were good, the kitchen was good, again we LOVE the balcony, the big hook and rope gadget is great and very needed since there is no elevator and the pool is a definite plus

The apartments need renovation. They are old and needs just a little modernization. It needs to be gutted and renovated this year after the summer season is over so that they will be ready for next summer because I do want to return. An apartment that advertises to fit 10 to 12 people needs at least 2 bathrooms, this is a must, and a room listed as a bedroom truly needs to be a bedroom and not a utility room made into one.

Location was perfect. We were close enough to the beach, yet far enough away to avoid heavy noise. It was spacious and I love do the laundry accommodation. It made my stay much more comfortable. The house came with cooking utensils which was wonderful in preparing home cooked meals. The large porch allowed us to store our bikes while giving us room to sit and enjoy the view.

The apartment had a few things that needed attention. There were several blinds with broken panels and the floors were sandy and after walking barefoot, my family had dirty feet indicating that the floors had not been scrubbed.

The location is excellent!!!! Beautiful views off the covered deck. Lots of food and shopping options nearby. Fridge and stove and bathroom tub and sink very clean. Beds were comfortable. The staff was exceptional! Super friendly and helpful!

It's an older place so there were limited amounts of outlets and only the one bathroom in the apt for 10 people.

Great GREAT location, right on the boardwalk. Parking was easy to access and even when the first lot was full, the next parking lot was literally one block away. Customer service was great, front desk/phone staff were helpful and accommodating. A/C worked great.

Bathroom was a little cramped but did what it needed to do. Water temperature fluctuated a little during shower.

My 15 yr old son & I were very happy with the accommodations. He always looks forward to swimming in the pool. I was happy to see that add'l parking was available offsite this time around as I believe it was last year that there wasn't any as opposed to other years that we've stayed there. As a result, one night we had to park a few blocks away on the street. Not that I don't feel it wasn't safe to do so, but I guess as a New Yorker, there's always a little hesitation in the back of my mind.

As a long time visitor to the Majestic Hotel, I was a little disappointed to see not so many rocking chairs on the front porch as there once was. It appears as though they are being phased out. I know for myself when I first came to the Majestic Hotel back in the late 80's/early 90's, I found that one of the attractions to the hotel for myself was to be able to sit on a rocking chair in the early morning & watch the dolphins swimming down along the shore in the distance. After my wife passed away 10 years ago, I brought my son to OC for his first time & one of our favorite pictures is of him & I sitting on those very rocking chairs in front of the Majestic Hotel.

We liked the location. The room was clean and nice size. The view of the ocean was great from the porch.

They show a ton of rocking chairs in the photo in reality there were only like 6 and some were broken. They took a deposit from my account the day before our arrival which I was not aware of. I was told I would pay the amount when I arrived. They tried to over charge me for the room until I showed them my reservation and cost break down. We won't be staying there again I think they are dishonest and don't care about the customers they are just there for a paycheck. Some staff were rude also.

Location, location, location. Right up on the boardwalk, right next to the beach and the action. Gives easy access to the restaurants and shops there, plus the little convenience store right under the hotel. And those chairs outside the hotel are cool places to hang out when you just want to enjoy the show.

Closet had a bit of a funky/moisture smell. I kept my clothes in my bag, so no biggie.
