Lovely hotel in the lively area of Deep Ellum! The bedrooms have lofty ceilings and super comfy beds — staff are lovely, gym is fantastic (Peleton bikes, running machine, cold towels in fridge on exit) and there is a great pool area. Also thought the staff were very helpful and sweet. Breakfast was delicious and portions were huge

If you are sensitive to noise I would carefully consider a stay here. We had a room that backed onto the freeway / Elm Street and it was so loud! I Googled about revving vehicles in the area and apparently it’s been a problem in Dallas for some time - cars rev engines/modified junkers really loudly at the lights and naturally it’s worse at night. You could also hear this noise by the pool, sadly. Despite liking the pool area, I think there could be more effort to make this area more vibey. There was no music, not someone readily available to make drinks at the bar hatch (went up 3 separate times and no one was there) and sometimes it was a bit messy with towels which could be remedied if staff checked the area more frequently

We were able to check in upon arrival (earlier than check-in time) which we greatly appreciated. Loved the amenities in the bathroom!

We asked for help with a dinner reservation, communicated with the team for days prior to check-in. But upon arrival they had no idea what I was talking about, which was frustrating. The barn door into the bathroom is just not practical - and so difficult to move. We booked a room with breakfast included, but the on-site restaurant couldn’t clarify what that meant. Only after asking Reception a third time did we receive an explanation of what we could order. I suppose we just expected better service.

Booking.com need to advise of hidden security deposit fees ($100/day) that need to be paid upfront before getting into room. Even if you pay ahead in full for your total stay, there are additions charges that have to be paid before they release your room to you. Full disclosure required

The Gym is open 24 hours, very friendly and helpful staff, nice restaurant with perfect service.

You have to order breakfast , one or some of the dishes from menu. And the dish is big, so you can not find a balanced solution for your breakfast. We prefer Sweden table with different options. We were stay 5 nights, we expected bed-lines will be changed during so long staying, but it was not. Also no new soap... The hotel is nice, but clean-room service could to be better.

We booked a 3 night stay but had to leave after first night as we underestimated how loud it would get around the hotel. We are light sleepers plus had a 1 year old baby. Even though it was a no refund reservation, staff still went ahead and refunded our 2 nights stay which was very nice. You don’t find this level of customer service these days.

Breakfast really good but confused on how much the allowance was , as we booked breakfast through booking .com and was told by different people in the restaurant different allowances One said it was per room and 1 said per person Would be good if this was pointed out at the beginning . Love the free wine, beer between certain hours in the afternoon. Nice pool to relax at, good service around the pool. Area restaurants

Confusion around allowance for breakfast. Ask for high level floor as Deep Ellum quite lively of a night , good lively just noisy. Restaurant food in the evening not up to a high standard for the cost .

The hotel is beautiful. I love the idea that you need a key card to activate the elevator and the lights in the rooms. Modern aesthetics. Overall a beautiful hotel.

Having the only parking available being valet and at $50 is not ideal. The surrounding parking lots do not offer 24 hour parking. A Monopoly on that does not seem fair to someone already spending $400 on a single night in a hotel room. As far as charging for in room mini bar , six dollars for a bag of M&Ms is kind of extreme don't you think? The water beside your bed is $10. No coffee maker.

Kimpton Pittman is located in Deep Ellum on the outskirts of downtown Dallas. The location is close to great cafes, restaurants, bars - and if you are into them, night clubs. The staff are incredibly friendly and helpful, the hotel pool is fantastic, and restaurant delicious. Overall ambience of the hotel is terrific.

Deep Ellum does have a seedier side but you can easily avoid this. The hotel is located close to a couple of night clubs, and the "doof doof" does penetrate the rooms, but not to a level that is uncomfortable or prevents sleep.

The beds were very comfortable. There were great complimentary features like delicious hot apple cider in the lobby one evening and a "Christmas Movie Night" which provided popcorn and hot chocolate. We got brunch at the attached restaurant which was great, with an attentive and kind chef who came to check on us and ask if our meal was good. Everyone at the front desk was nice and professional. It was a great stay.

Clean modern hotel. Big room. Very comfortable beds Lovely pool area. Excellent restaurant- food was absolutely delicious. Good location-walking distance to centre.

Leaving! Being really picky, my impression of Staff is that they were competent but not particularly friendly. I was a bit irked to be asked to move table in restaurant by waitress who said table was booked, when in fact said table remained unused for the duration of my time in the restaurant which was shortly after dinner service ended. Owing to close proximity of the hotel to a live music club, it is VERY noisy at night. Bar closes at 10pm or at least I think that is what the bar person said-I couldn’t quite believe my ears. No coffee until 7am and coffee in restaurant isn’t great. All in all though these minor issues would not put me off from staying at this lovely hotel again.
