This was our family gathering for Christmas so it was important to us to have a "homey" feel. Check in was quick and easy. Our host Deb was very friendly and helpful. The concierge did offer a "talk" in exchange for gift certificates or a gift card, we declined and that was that. They were not pushy at all. The unit was very clean and well stocked with kitchen supplies which was important to us as we cook most of our meals. They could accommodate having two separate beds in the second bedroom which also met our needs. The location was great and very close to Colonial Williamsburg which is why we chose it. An added bonus was the putt putt course/ping pong/corn hole/pool & hot tub for a great afternoon of family fun.

As with most hotels and rentals the internet was not strong. My Verizon phone signal was almost non existent but obviously not their fault, T-Mobil was somewhat better. The TV's were not able to get on the internet so we couldn't stream our services from them. They did have cable which included pay channels.

The rooms were top notch and clean. The pool and the Jacuzzi were great. The activities director Tammy was wonderful as well.

Nothing against greensprings but Booking did not give us accurate pricing. The resort fees were not accurately communicated on booking.com and definitely put a damper on our vacation after being blind sided.

The layout was very specious and we were right by the registration which was nice for accessing the hot tub. I requested more towels/blankets and they were promptly brought to us. We had a ground floor room which I had requested so it was easy moving luggage in and out. The kitchen was full-size which made feeding a bunch of teenage boys a lot easier. Two bathrooms, for the same reason, was very welcomed. The site was quiet and the roads around it easy to navigate, yet there were loads of shops and restaurants and historic Williamsburg was only a few miles away. The whole place was very clean and the linens were white and no bedspreads (which I prefer!)

I would have liked a later check-out. 10 is very early. I tried to get one but the later checkouts were all used up at that point. We were there for a soccer tournament so having to get everyone packed up after a tiring weekend then having nowhere to go until our later game was a drag. The kitchen needed some oven mitts as I had to use washcloths instead to take food out of the oven. It also needed more than one mini-baking tray. It didn't fit a pizza even. The master bathroom was really humongous, yet the toilet is crammed right up against the wall so you have no space and can hardly reach the toilet paper. Bit silly.

The carpets need replacing badly. There is a mold or mildew smell in the unit that will not go away. The kitchen counter needs upgrading. Lots of damage areas. Sofia need upgrading. The bed rails in the small bedroom were sticking out. Very dangerous.

The rooms

The stay fee is ridiculous. Already have to pay for the room with a holding deposit that takes a week to get back plus a $25 per night plus tax staying fee. For what when house keeping doesn't even comes untill after you've checked out.

Nice spacious suite that comfortably fit my family. Great location that was easy accessible with an active security presence. Nice amenity’s that allowed us to enjoy the campus even more. If you just wanted to stay on the resort and never leave—you could most definitely enjoy the resort, because they have a lot of family friendly activities

The club house staff wasn’t as friendly as I would have liked. When walking up to order food. I had to greet them first before the even acknowledged I was there. They acted as if I was interrupting their conversation.

My boyfriend and I went to Greensprings to celebrate my birthday. In my initial booking I had made 2 small requests for our stay at the resort. I had req'd an earlier check-in time and a later check out time. I was quite pleased when both of these requests were fulfilled! I also want to make mention of the awesome Tiki bar that was beside the outdoor pool. The bartender (forgive me as I forgot his name) was friendly, funny & best of all knew how to make a great drink. All in all we had a wonderful stay-cation get away with Greensprings

I really REALLY hate the part where after checking in at the front desk they always try to prod you to go to the other desk in the front office to speak to someone about timeshare oppurtunities. The verbiage the front desk uses to direct you to the timeshare desk is not straightforward and they use verbiage I cant quite recall to get you to walk over and speak with them. The verbiage almost makes it sound as if its a requirement to speak with the timeshare desk (FYI it is NOT a req'ment of stay). Being as we have stayed at this property prior I was well aware of what the front desk was asking me to do.

The property was great but I have a problem with them still holding $200 of my money. It’s bn 4 days and they haven’t released the hold on my $200 which I feel is unfair. I checked like I was supposed to and nothing was damaged as a matter of fact I cleaned up before I left but my money is still on hold.

The property is beautiful, the resort location and access is excellent, and the suites are large and very comfortable.

The internet was mostly useless - when I called to ask if this could be looked into, I was given the number for the resort's service provider and directed to contact them directly. I located and reset the AP myself, which restored service, but speeds were still frustratingly slow. Some of the furniture, fixtures, and finish of our unit were a bit neglected - nothing major, a bit of torn upholstery on dining room chairs, a couple burned out light bulbs, and some sloppy patches and painting.

The location and the fact that we had a washer and dryer in our room were my top two favorite things about the stay. The pools were nice and the food from the cabana was great.

The only thing I didn't like was the fact that we were on the second floor and the walls are VERY thin. You can hear everything around you. I also thought the decor needed to be updated, especially the carpet in the hallway which gives a bit of a smell but it was tolerable and the room was nice enough.
