Friendly staff both front desk and breakfast staff - housekeeping kept our room clean everyday, delicious breakfast, breakfast area looks elegant, spacious bedroom, bathroom very clean~ lobby is nicely curated- enjoyed the gallery full of paintings done by local artist, beautiful chandeliers…it may look old world to some but isn’t that better than a chain hotel, sometimes it’s nice to experience different things- and oh welcoming drinks upon arrival 👍 very refreshing and welcoming, near areas we wanted to explore. Pool is nice! Enjoyed people watching on the front patio drinking Saigon beer :) - definitely 💯 percent pleasant stay.

Wish we stayed longer. But definitely will visit again one day 👏

Royal Hotel Saigon was a great hotel to stay in! The location is excellent — in the heart of district 1 where many things are within walking distance / a short cab ride away, and surrounded by food & shopping hubs. The hotel lobby and rooms are very pretty and clean, the room size was decent, and the beds were comfortable. Breakfast had a good spread of western & asian cuisines, as well as fruit and dessert. My favourite was the porridge station, pho station and egg station. The service was excellent, the rooms were always made up well, the staff were nice and attentive to our needs, the doormen always opened the doors with a wide smile on their faces.

I believe there are 2 things the hotel could do better in: 1. Spotty wifi — the wifi strength & connection was very weak, and we were unable to do many basic things on wifi (eg send photos) without disconnecting. 2. The ventilation in the eating area is not good and we always came out of breakfast smelling like the food we ate, which was not pleasant.

The location is great. The reception area has a great vibe - loved sitting in it watching the people walk by! The room itself was spacious and clean. Bed was not too hard. My and her reception team are great - very helpful and go the extra mile with arranging check in, a taxi and general information. Nhan who greets you at the front door and at breakfast is perfect at his job. Talking of breakfast - it’s very good. Lots of choice and well presented. The pool is half undercover which is a godsend in the hot weather!

The pool area is okay but perhaps lacks a vibe - maybe some music and a bar!

Breakfast was included in our cost and was a lovely buffet (though would benefit from more variation from day to day) and terrific views of the area. Staff try to find answers to questions. The room was relatively fresh considering the hotel's age, as well as roomy and comfy. The boulevard outside is lovely and when we were there in early March there was an annual festival going on. We loved the atmosphere and the quality of music and dance. Nearby are some important monuments and a significant number of other key buildings including museums, markets and gardens. The surrounding location of this hotel somewhat avoided the worst of hazardous road-crossing.

Some (just some) of the showers accumulate water in the tub -- but just look at the drain, tap the cover and it opens up. The hallway carpet, one of the first thing you encounter, is in dire need of replacement -- but your room itself will impress most people. There were not enough decent food-oriented restaurants in the immediate area, mainly various chains and bars. But if you walk a few hundred metres, you will find some better restaurants.

The hotel was in an excellent location, within an easy walk of the Post Office and other attractions. Close to restaurants and cafes, although we didn't go to any. The room was large and very clean, it exceeded my expectations. We had a shower over bath which was a bit difficult to get into as the bath was quite deep. They do have rooms with walk in showers so if this is an issue for you request a shower only room. Staff were super friendly and help. Breakfast was really amazing heaps of choices given it was a large hotel. Overall it was a really pleasant stay

There was nothing I didn't like about the stay.

The location was exceptional as it was right in the centre of town. Close to all tourist attractions, restaurants and cafes. Hop on Hop off bus was located nearby. The rooms were a good size we stayed in room 318 which had windows but no view with minimal natural light. Still comfortable. Staff in the Hotel were all extremely helpful with our enquiries. We had a very early checkout, the breakfast box to go was a lovely gesture. Great value for money for the location. The breakfast was very good with a good selection. Loved the egg station.

The room was very comfortable and while I had a window, it looked out onto a cement wall. But to be honest, I didn't care, it was natural light into the room. The room was modern and was well appointed. There was a diverse range of breakfast options and I appreciated the choice. I really liked the cook while you watched egg station. The staff were super friendly. I would like to shout out a than you to the housekeeping staff and the door staff for their more personal interction with me during my stay. That is not to say that the reception staff or restaurant staff were lacking, it just is I had a more personalised experience with the other staff. I never used the pool so can't comment. The hotel is situated in a big pedaestrian area which is closed off the traffic on weekends for families and events. I loved this aspect and brought a smile to my face to step out of the hotel and join families having and happy time together. For me this truly reflects Ho Chi Minh's vision of a Vietnam that is community focussed under the confucius foundations. Overall I enjoyed my stay at the hotel and would happily recommend to others and It will be on my list for the next time I come to Vietnam. Maybe 2026.

I didn't like that I was being asked to pay for the accommodation when I checked in for a 4 star hotel. It made me feel like I was wasn't trusted and that I may stay and do a runner.

Location, service and comfort! This is what you need when travelling in this amazing city. Right in the heart of HCMC, walking distance to food, restaurants, Uncles statue, the Ben Thanh market, the Mekong, war memorial and pretty much everything you need this is an ideal location for a short or long stay. Wonderful service by the staff who predominantly speak English and host you with all you request you won’t be disappointed in the service. A big shout out to Thuan for his wonderful help. The restaurant breakfast is wonderful with a great spread of Vietnamese, Chinese and western food. We enjoyed the Pho and the omelettes with a variety of rices etc. The rooms are large and comfortable with some of the most rested sleep we have had on holiday. Overall an amazing experience and very much worth the stay for the comfort, location and service of the staff.

Being close to the mall and the new years / Christmas show there was a bit of music noise but nothing to be concerned about

Lovely boutique style hotel in prime location close to everything. The bed and pillow were very comfortable. Breakfast was excellent, nice food selection with nice view.

Checking in was a bit hectic, the receptionist was mumbling something as she constantly flipped through the book as if she could find no vacant room for us even though we booked months in advance. In the end we were given a triple room for the 2 of us at the end of the corridor where they kept all their cleaning gear just outside our door. And the bath tub/ shower was leaking, that was probably why she was reluctant to give us that room.

The Front Office Manager, Nguyen Thi Thuy My, and her colleagues was nothing but fabulous to us from the day we arrived up to the day of our departure from the hotel. When we arrive roads where closed due to 50th reunification anniversary and My went out of her way to fetch us so we arrive the hotel Safely. She’s an asset to the hotel. Definitely I recommend this hotel to anyone going to Vietnam. You’ll feel comfortable. Everyday they clean the room, refill water and coffee. Breakfast was limited though but if you like Vietnamese food you’ll love it. The location is near in everything you need. Everything is walkable. Front desk staff are accommodating.

Nothing. Download the translation app if you don’t speak Vietnamese.
